Another 'busy' day in his mind had come and gone, and he'd taken to hiding in his room. Idly flopping on his bed with Id dozing on his stomach as he read a book. Peaceful and quiet. This place really wasn't so bad once one got out of the hustle, bustle, and insanity that was so many people in a seemingly large, but also small location.

All trying to get the same things done. Even if they were different things.

And none of that made sense the moment it left his head. Or well, it hadn't but who cared. It was logical enough to him. He dismissed it and shifted, rolling to one side as the otokoyo protested at losing it's pillow and tried to readjust itself. Back to reading a nice, boring and basic, copy of Fear 101. Because classes would start son, best to ensure he hadn't forgotten anything too simple. Oh the joys that would come from stuttering out an answer about something every good scareling should already know. If he hammered it in no matter how nervous he was about a crowd he'd be fine.

Not that he'd be nervous, just... basic precautions. He just hadn't been stuck with this many people in an unfamiliar location very often. And not for an extended period of time. He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about it yet, that was all. He'd adjust, his father would expect it of him. For the family name, or some fancy mumbo jumbo reason like that.

He didn't care much, he'd agreed to this and he'd manage to get through it.

But for now enough studying, he'd grab a snack. He'd been holed up for a while, maybe something for the pets to. He glanced lightly at Id and gave the silvery thing a scratch on the head before shifting him off and rolling off his bed, stretching lightly as he made for the door. "Snack time, I'll be back. Scare off anyone that tries to come in." He called quietly to the huddle of creatures on his bed as he wandered for the door. In all truth, it was probably late enough that no one else would be around, right? Well maybe a few of the nocturnal students, but less crowded than the day perhaps. Well maybe.

Or not. Just as he opened his door, he noticed the door to his side opening as well, blinking at it somewhat lost. Well, actually, no he knew what it meant. He had a neighbor. Right. Well best to get meeting them over with.

Not a fire demon, not a fire demon... Hey, he could hope. Otherwise this would be a rocky co-existence.

Etzer had been getting pretty low on food in his dorm, and he'd been so engrossed in designing clothes and sewing (as well as book reading) that he'd completely forgotten to go shopping that afternoon.

The first moment he'd been laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling as his mind wandered on certain clothing ideas, and the next moment his stomach had complained rather loudly at him that he needed to eat, and soon.

Grimacing as he stood up, he glanced around his room once more, attempting to think of anything else he might need while he was out before stepping outside of his dorm room, noticing another figure beside him. Must be a new dorm room neighbor.

And then he heard the bells.

Bells.

With wide eyes, the frost demon let his door shut as he turned to stare at his brother, mouth agape. Oh jack, his brother was here. OH JACK HIS BROTHER... WAS HERE.

He couldn't find the words for a few moments, finally able to raise his arm and point straight at Molan.

"WHO LET YOU IN HERE!?"

He didn't have much time to react before he realized he recognized the other person. All too well. Oh yes, he knew him fairly well, and was a bit happy to see him. Even if the expression on the fellow demon's face seemed a bit less pleased with him.

Well that solves one problem.

He would have offered a smile if he didn't suddenly find his brother pointing at him and shouting, as both ears fell flat, somewhat annoyed with his reaction. That was NOT how to should react to your kind older sibling who came to keep an eye on you... or maybe it was. His father had asked him to try and keep Etzer somewhat... in line? Well, HE didn't know that though. One would think he'd done something terrible like writing his deepest darkest secrets all over the walls with how he'd reacted. ...that might be a good idea at this point though.

But really, who let him in? Wasn't he the more qualified one to be a student here? Since when had Etzer been some great scholar and shining example of demon greatness above him? A slight 'tsk' went by in his head as he crossed his arms, obviously displeased with how his brother was acting. "The administration of course. I'm so happy you're thrilled to see me." And here he'd been somewhat worried his brother would have been just as bad at adjusting to a new place. Well, he would be just fine one his own. "I see you've been well Etzer. A monster didn't eat you yet?" Honestly, he wasn't that upset with him. Perhaps a bit hurt. Really, why wouldn't his brother who'd been with him for years want to see him? He'd replaced him already?

Aw. Aw jack. He'd gone and offended Molan, his shoulders slumping as he sighed. Once he'd seen the ears flatten, he rubbed the back of his neck, rolling his eyes to the ceiling.

"How many bells did he offer you." It came out not as a question, but as a point of interest - there was no way that his brother would come to the school unless there was a bit of bribery involved, and Etzer knew that a bit of that would be involved.

And then another thought occurred to him. His brother was here. Meaning... they could do things together! Things they... didn't necessarily have to tell their father, if need be.

Cue that familiar tic pulling at the corner of Etzer's lips before he all out glomped Molan, sending his brother's bells complaining as he hugged his brother fiercely.

It hadn't been that long, but Etzer wasn't used to going places for very long without his brother nearby for companionship. He loved other people, Molan was just... familiar. A constant.

He was glad his brother was here, despite... certain things.

How many? Right, well then again. This was Etzer, he would know that he wouldn't... openly agree to coming somewhere like this. It only made sense he'd realized the real mastermind who had orchestrated this mess. Their father. Because he was rather good at somehow getting everyone to do exactly what he wanted. You know, looking back at it and all... he'd have to ask the man about that later.

"Just one. A very nice one. I'll show you it later. It's engraved just right, with a delicate chime to it. The metal is a rare one tha-" And he didn't get to finish his entire speech about how nice the thing was as he was practically tackled out of his bell induced euphoria. If he hadn't been stuck in his own happy land of joy and jingling metal objects he might have realized there was that ever dangerous smile on his brother's face before he was pulled into a rather fierce hug. One he just responded to with a light pat on his brother's back, not sure what brought about the sudden change.

He blinked a bit before smiling somewhat awkwardly as the 'fight' of sorts seemed over, tilting his head a bit at the frost demon. "I uh.. missed you too?" In truth he'd been sort of glad to know his brother would be around at the school, even better that he'd be next do- wait. WAIT. A terrible thought just dawned in his head, and both ears fell flat again as he realized one terrible thing. Their father wasn't watching them, which meant his overly... friendly brother might get ideas. Ideas of what to do with. "If I hear you at night. EVER. Doing something I don't want to hear. You will regret it." Well that was abrupt, but he never was one to mince words.

Well at least that was cleared up. Back to happy reunions now that awkward sibling discussions were done? Or not.

"You don't need to worry." Etzer fell back, holding a bell in between his fingers and eyeing it curiously, the smile tugging at his lips again though he tried very hard to keep it at bay.

For once, the frost demon didn't mind hearing about the particular bell, finding that he'd missed his brother's talk of bells. It was strange - when he'd been at home, Molan was incessant about rambling on about bells, but now at Amityville? Etzer found himself... actually interested in hearing about it.

"Hey. What do you say we both go to lunch? I don't have much in my room, and I'm a bit famished. How about you?" He shook the bell in between his fingers, now all out grinning as he held the bell for 'ransom'. He could give it back at any time.

He just didn't want to. Not yet.

It honestly seemed like something he should be worried about, or perhaps... the fact his brother had managed to snag a bell before he'd realized. He blinked at the gold jangling object in his brother's hand before suddenly keying in what hit meant. Then a brief panic as slight disbelief someone had dared to run off with one ran over his face. He quickly checked, finding the spot and...

He'd taken it from his hair? Oh for heavens sake. Now he didn't match. He toyed with the now plain tie a moment, woefully staring at it like someone had done some form of permanent damage. Or maybe kicked him a few times at least. He looked pathetically at his brother at that point, rather like a poor abused puppy at having had his dead brother that he trusted do something so terrible, even if it was just taking a bell for a short period of time. He KNEW better. "Give it back." He frowned at that point, crossing his arms stubbornly once more. Etzer should know that bells that were already his weren't up for bribing material.

Besides, he was out for food anyway. He wouldn't have minded. Sadly, not he had bigger fish to fry than finding something to eat. He needed what was his back. One hand shot out after a moment, palm up, obviously expecting the thing return. "Now." There weren't any if's, and's, or but's in his voice. Actually little nonsense at all. If Etzer refused he'd just have to tackle him and take it back.

Really, it was simple enough. His brother knew the drill after all. He'd seen it happen to other people too right?

Really, Etzer loved seeing that face of realizing that one of his bells was missing, but he for sure didn't want to be tackled.

He handed the bell over with ease, his grin wide as he stared at Molan.

"Now that I've given it back... we can go to lunch now, yes?" It was true that Etzer knew better than to bribe one of Molan's own bells, as those were off limits and it just didn't work in the long run. He'd learned the hard way before. "Please?"

He didn't want to say that he'd enjoy the company, that he was really lonely, but Molan could most likely tell by the tone in Etzer's voice.

And the ever so pleasant smile was back at the safe return of his precious. He took a quick glance to make sure it was fine before working to tie it back in place as his brother spoke, seeming to muse over the request. Fair enough, he'd forgive him. Since he'd gotten it back anyway.

Especially since he did sound a little pathetic. Hadn't he made friends yet? Etzer seemed the type he'd have made at least a few in the time he'd had. Then again... maybe he'd scared them all off. Really, he couldn't be sure. "I was planning to go out and find something to eat myself anyway." He wasn't going to admit he'd been looking for his brother either. They really were a pair of stubborn creatures deep down. "So yes, we can go. Do you know a place?" He knew there was the creepateria? Was there anything else around? Ah well, either way it was fine.

He perked up as he finished tying the thing where it belonged, tilting his head to ensure it stayed before flicking his tail and waving a hand. "Lead the way?" He added, obviously intending to follow. Etzer's idea, so he was going to be the one to make the decision. Besides, this way he didn't have to admit still being half lost when he tried to find his way around the academy at the moment.

Etzer actually... hadn't made that many friends. There were boils and ghouls he'd flirted with, but beyond that... was nothing.

"Yes. I do know of a place!" The food wasn't as good as Xiu's, but it was decent enough to eat. He really wished to go to her dorm, but he didn't want to inconvenience her at all.

Besides, her outfit wasn't done yet.

Cheeks coloring, Etzer quickly strode ahead and cleared his throat. "Of course. Creepeteria's this way." He smiled, feeling that his face was read but wasn't going to comment on it at all. The frost demon's pace quickened as he walked, hoping the blush would go away.

Both brow raised at the hint of color on his brother's face seemingly from nowhere as he turned away. Well that certainly wasn't about the creepateria, which meant his sibling had met someone. He just didn't know who. And while he was curious, best not to ask yet. That would be more fun to bother him with over lunch.

A small tweak at the corners of his lips showed the potentially evil teasing thoughts that came to mind at the concept as he followed after, ears perked up with interest at that. His tail had even flicked a few times at the potential possibilities he had before him as he strode along after the taller frost demon. Oh yes, this could certainly be good. Very good.

"Soooooo... did you meet anyone yet?" Okay, perhaps it was never too early to tease one's own flesh and blood just a little bit. And it was obvious that was his entire point with the tone in his voice. Come on now, Etzer never got worked up over him, which meant it had to be some ghoul or boil he'd met. He just had to dig a little bit to find out.

As the pace sped up a bit at that, he didn't have much of a chance to worry about it as he had to pick up his own usually casual stroll to keep up. Shorter and more pokey when it came to moving along, but he wasn't about to let his brother get away without some explaining.

Oh jack, the dreaded question. Of course he would have picked up on something like that. "You could say that," He mumured, pace slowing as he made a show of fanning himself. "Or it's just all these ladies are so delightful that-"

He stopped, face scrunching up as pressing his fingers to his face. Something was trickling out of his nose - he pulled his fingers back to stare at the liquid that was on them.

Blood.

"Ahhh, jack." The frost demon rolled his shoulders as he stopped walking, jacket dropping to the floor before he undid his tie and shirt, letting those drop to the floor on top of the jacket. At least his fingers were cold and helped when pressed against his nose, the trickle of blood slowing down but still seeping between his fingers.

"Probably worked too hard on an outfit," Etzer muttered, reveling in not having any clothes on. The temperature was better once he'd stripped to just his pants, and he allowed a smile to cross his face as he glanced to Molan.

Despite having lived in the demon dorms for a year and a half now, the baku had never had to venture down into the lower levels of the building--after all, she hadn't had any frost demon friends until recently. However, after baking an excess of spookies and cupcakes, she decided that it would be a good idea to visit her new friend and bring him some of these treats. A housewarming gift in a way, she supposed--she had never formally welcomed him to Amity.

Arranging the baked goods carefully on a plate, she wrapped it up in colored cellophane paper, topping it of with a neatly tied bow. Giving her minipets a fond pat and a warning for them to be good while she was gone--which would only take a minute--she made her way out the door and down the flights of stairs that would bring her to her destination. Of course, it wasn't until she was halfway down the stairs that she realized she didn't even know which room Etzer was in...

...But apparently it didn't matter. Upon reaching the correct floor, she glanced up in surprise to see that there were two figures milling about in the middle of the hallway. One of them, was unfamiliar, but the other--

"Etzer!" A pause, and then her eyes widened as she took in his current state. Shirtless, why was he shirtless? And was he bleeding? Or at least, it looked like he was, from what little she could see (as she lifted the plate of desserts in front of her in an attempt to block off her view of the frost demon from neck-down). Slowly, she made her way forward, digging around in her pockets until she managed to procure a handkerchief. "Are you alright?! Here, use it!"

She thrust it into his hand (or tried to--she might have pat his chest a little instead as she tried to find out where his other hand was) before turning to look at Molan. A small smile curled on her lips as she gave the boil a polite nod of her head. "And hello to you! I'm sorry to interrupt your uh...conversation." Or...or whatever this was.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2013 4:49 pm

The Isukun shook his head in dismay at the comment. Of course, he should have expected it , just as Etzer should have expected he'd notice his brother getting embarrassed over something. Honestly, they both probably knew how the other worked a little too well for their own liking.

Which was why, sadly, he was so trained not to really react to what happened next. Though the timing was a bit amusing. "Stop thinking about how little she was wearing." He said, probably less amused than the comment should have as he managed to catch a few tossed off things. "And stop stripping in the halls." He added, catching a hist at that point before it hit the floor. Trained behavior after years of his brother's crazy behavior. "Stop cursing too. Father would never approve of that much in a short period." Never too many small jabs here and there. He'd always have time for one more small thing.

He gave his brother a small look at the final comment before shaking his head again as the sound of someone else approaching caused both ears to perk and his eyes darted up to the figure. Which was a rather lovely little creature with a stack of cookies in her hands. Well one, she'd taken the time to try and hold out a handkerchief to his brother, and putting two and two together... maybe meant a bit of anguish.

Which meant a bit of revenge for his brother stealing that bell away earlier. He cast a quick look at his brother mouthing a quick 'She's cute' followed shortly by the real evil bit 'dibs.' Now he didn't actually mean it, but he did want to see his dear brother's reaction. Which was why he did his best to hide the silent wording from the girl before giving her a polite smile. After all, this was obviously an acquaintance of his brother's. Right? "It's no trouble at all, thank you for the help... ah hah. Etzer will be fine, he just... got a little worked up over something?" Word choice there, it was important. He peered briefly at his brother before going quiet, figuring his brother was about to do a nice job of shoving his own foot in his mouth. He needn't help it anymore at the moment.

The first comment didn't phase Etzer in the slightest, nor did the second. He inwardly cursed at Molan's comment of cursing, knowing full well he was right.

And then he froze upon seeing Xiu, lips curving downwards. "Jack..." He whispered, face now turning white. Well, at least the nosebleed had dissipated, at least for the moment.

And then Molan's comment of 'dibs' really got to him. His head jerked to stare at his brother, his eyes a slight bit angry. No, he mouthed back, hand dropping from his nose as he took Xiu's handkerchief, taking care to wipe off the blood from his fingers and nose.

"Miss Xiu, this is my brother, Molan." Etzer would have liked to call him a few other select names, but he didn't want to give Xiu the wrong impression, as much as he'd like to. "Molan, this is Miss Xiu."

He didn't say a damn thing else, other than introductions. Check and Mate, Molan.
