He was out watching for Princess Ami like instructed but she was with a pair of other cheetahs speaking about their worse fears. Well, that didn't quite interest Segurue much at all. His best friend was out on the world, not needing him anymore- and after he got assigned to the princess it went down hill from there. He was like a weapon, his tactics, his way of finding out things about everyone was near god-like. But he started to become .... lonely. Now that his job consisted of being more like a messenger than anything. He felt like he was missing something....He was laid out, yards and yards from where he had last seen the princess. It was MIDDAY, and the clouds painted white on a bright blue sky. The wind flowing through his fur without restraint. His eyes were closed and he started to remember his family. His old family. His brothers and sisters playing and how they were bountiful with energy and he... wasn't. He rather be learning how to survive and held feed his inner survival skills.
[ Flash Back ]
The experiment was when he had a friend impala colt. No- he didn't eat him nor desired to. But when he met with quick sand... he remembered not fight for his life. Not like the impala did.
A bird flew above them. "Stop stressing! Stop moving! Or you'll sink!"
But the colt ignored the warnings, The more he did- the more he sank, and Segurue watched the fear in the colts eyes til he was completely submerged. The vision was burned in to his head and instead of stressing he looked around and started to figure out what he could do to get out. Logic.
Grabbing on to a branch and as he did, he pulled himself up. Tears filling his eyes as he finally understood.. What death was. That's when everything changed.
[/ Flash Back End ]
But regardless of what happened... Even as he grew up from there, he could see his siblings laughing and playing and he just. Didn't. Just watched, with the painful memory that one's life meant nothing. We would all die soon and life will go on but... sometimes he wished that he didn't have to feel so.. isolated going about this world with this feeling.. something was missing. What had his past held that he wanted.. He couldn't figure it out...
