Balance
It was the one word that stuck in ********* mind after her encounter with Kurma. It wasn't a bad word, so to speak, but at the moment it felt like a rose thorn digging deep into her side.
She didn't like the context it had been used in.
Where as normally the Mauvian never really felt the need to seek out Nickeline, tonight was different. ********* simply wanted to talk to the girl. She wanted to know if her heart, if her starseed truly belonged to Chaos or not.
"...Nickeline?" she called out in a daring manner down an empty looking alleyway.

********* may have wanted to find Nickeline but Nickeline did not feel the same way. She had been direly avoiding bumping into the feline ever since the senshi had met with Sassolite and found out what a psycho she was. How could she chance meeting *********? It was better if she never met the cat again. There was nothing Sassolite could do about that, right? Not bumping into ********* was a lot easier said than done though! How did you avoid a cat that would eat garbage when you normally hunted in the dark alleys of the city? Well, tonight was the answer to that.
How did that cat manage to find her?! Nickeline's thoughts flew, her emotions boiling. How many places in the city were there to hide? How did ********* find her? What could the cat possibly want from her? It was probably her fault, always feeding her. They always said not to feed the animals, right? Nickeline sighed deeply, pondering what to do. If she acknowledged *********, what would happen? She was suppose to end all of ********* nine lives once and for all. What was she going to do?
She opted for silence, hoping the cat would go away.

Though there was no response, the feeling of a dark aura was very noticeable for the manx. Most Negaverse agents would have already come out of hiding to investigate the Mauvian, but whoever this was did not pop out of hiding.
It was suspicious.
Glancing about to make certain nobody was about, the manx called out again "...Nickeline... I know you don't like long conversations, but I want to talk... please?"

The cat wasn't going away... Why wasn't she going away? It took a moment for her to realize just why she wasn't going away. The same way she could sense someone around due to their power signature, it was the same for the magical talking cats too right? So there was no escaping her, was there? She could run away and pretend she didn't see her but Nickeline didn't run away!
Rather begrudgingly, Nickeline spoke out to the cat, "... yes?" She had yet to make an appearance yet though.

The response was a half surprise for the cat. There had been a chance that the owner of the aura was not Nickeline, and another chance that the owner of said aura would just scram.
"Oh, good!" she practically sighed out. This was good, this meant she had Nickeline's ears for the moment.
However, for the manx, it wasn't nearly good enough. "Is... is there a way you can come see me, Nickeline? I don't want to have to have this conversation through an open area like this..."
Perhaps it was a bit more verbose than what the corrupt senshi preferred, but it was hard to wrap up her thoughts and emotions into simpler words at the moment.

********* reaction was so different from what her reaction was it was almost hilarious. Good? Good?! Nickeline sighed, the definite sound of heels clicking over concrete approaching *********. What awaited ********* was Nickeline, maybe. It was kind of hard to tell because Nickeline was using her balls to cover her face. It was obvious she was trying not to look at *********, barely even acknowledging the cat's existence.
It was better this way, it was better this way...

The shadow of a figure came into view, and though it was distinctly the corrupt senshi she knew, there was something off about the way she stood. True, she had enough hair to wear it like a fancy scarf, but she had never really seen Nickeline use her hair to hide.
Concern easily distracted her from her reason to seek out Nickeline, and soon enough the feline was asking genuinely "...is something the matter, Nickeline?" Cautiously, the animal approached before attempting to rub up against the corrupt senshi's stocking-covered ankles.

The feeling of the cat rub itself against her ankles made Nickeline want to throw up. Her soft fur made a very distinct sound against the fabric of her shoes that reminded her of everything she was trying to avoid. ********* was so close that it would be really easy to give her a good kick in the face and a couple stomps with her heel, rather efficiently ending all this inner turmoil once and for all but it would open a door Nickeline wasn't sure she wanted to enter.
It was very obvious that Nickeline was feeling uncomfortable with ********* actions when she tiptoed not just around ********* affection but also the subject.
"Good all," she stated. "Fatcat need?"

The round animal tilted her head to the side curiously as the silvery haired girl not only backed up, but then went around her.
Something wasn't right about all of this.
However, she was not about to point this out at the moment. Shoving her concerns down into her stomach for a moment, she brought up other concerns that had been troubling her recently.
"...Nickeline... why did you pick the Negaverse?" It was a blunt question. However, given how many risks there were to her physical well being thanks to the chaos pulsing through her starseed, the guardian not only wanted to know, she needed to know.

Nothing was right about this. Sassolite would probably have her head if she could see this. Not that Nickeline particularly cared about the psycho but Nickeline wanted to be successful. She refused to be labeled a loser, someone who couldn't even perform simple tasks. She was willing to do a lot of things including beating the s**t out of someone simply for standing in front of her but this was just wrong. Although she wanted to succeed and find a place where people understood her, she didn't have any particular attachment to the Negaverse. It was a tool for her own needs, or that's how it started out. Now? Now she didn't know.
"Power," she said. She had strength but what they had offered her had been more than that, hadn't it? What she had got was not what anyone had expected though, that she had been able to tell immediately from the European Officer's facial expression. She was a senshi, she was born with power, right? What was the Negaverse giving her really? Nickeline hadn't really thought about it until now.

It was a selfish child's sort of reason. However, it wasn't uncommon. In a sense, even Iris and Parthenope seemed to enjoy that perk when it came to being a senshi.
Lifting a paw as best as she could to reach for a mimed version of holding a "hand over her heart," she had to ask another question.
"...Has the power really been worth what you have done to your body?"

The question that followed the first was much more awkward than Nickeline expected it to be. The paw over her heart action that ********* made literally shot a tinge of pain through the corrupt senshi's chest. Not only was she pointing out the fact there was a hole in her but she was also reminding her of her of the fact she'd learned it was not very normal among senshi.
Body freezing, Nickeline's grey eyes fell upon ********* with apparent sorrow. She had been avoiding looking at the feline but now she couldn't stop staring as her own hands fell over to cover her chest. No matter how she covered it, the feeling of it being there burned through her hands. The answer to ********* question had been silence.

A pair of green eyes were sympathetically upon Nickeline's gray ones. Were she a more timid creature, her eyes would have darted away at the notion of confrontation. However, ********* would not run away from this girl and the truths surrounding her.
The manx already knew the situation which had popped up with Victoria, but she didn't need to put it in the corrupt senshi's face.
"...I... I want to help... I wish to help..." She took a few bold steps towards this girl.Quote: Sassolite knew it would happen eventually. She knew full well that the senshi knew the cat and she knew that the cat had some sort of magnet to senshi. It seemed Sassolite was just feeding her ego but there it was, she could see the two, together, as obvious as anything.
Best of all, she could hear it all too, yet she wasn't stupid. She powered down in her hiding place. She was not going to risk the chance of being found out yet, give it time, then she would power up but for now she was better hiding as nothing more then a civilian, one that could play naive if found out.
This had been what she had been waiting for, a chance to prove even the corrupt senshi weren't trustworthy, and a chance to kill that cat. She wouldn't intervene yet, she could see the cat honestly wanted to help Nickeline and first Sass wanted to learn. She needed to learn and know everything she could, then cat could die and maybe the stupid senshi as well.
Patience was not one of Sassolite's strongest virtues but when one had waited for so long already, what was another few minutes?

Nickeline might very well have murdered ********* right here and had she brought of the embarrassment that was named Sailor Victoria. If anyone asked, she was going to outright deny everything that happened that night and then stomp around like a child with the face of a tomato. Perhaps ********* should have brought it up, it would have solved a lot of problems right here and there.
Silence.
********* couldn't help, there was no help. One did not simply walk into the Negaverse and then turn around and leave.
"Can't," she murmured.

Her ears twitched as one word escaped Nickeline.
"Can't"
It was perhaps an accurate word. ********* was not fully involved with the Negaverse, so she had no true understanding of the inner workings. By any logical means, Nickeline's word choice was correct.
"...No... I know I can't do anything... it is not within my power... but... I think I know someone... someone who can fix you..." Once more her paw lifted up as best as she could to her own heart. Kurma's words be damned at the moment, the Mauvian's heart wanted to make things right for Nickeline. Nobody should have to suffer such a condition!

I want to make things right..."Quote: So it was more then she had expected but the words she could make out sounded less like a senshi faking friendship to kill the cat then it did the senshi wanting out of the negaverse!
To say that made her angry was an understatement. Why was she always given the duds?
There was nothing else to hear that would make any of this worth listening to. She wanted that cat dead and she needed to make sure that Nickeline knew her place. She would never leave the negaverse, she couldn't. After all Linarite left and came back, or so the rumours said! Did that not prove that the negaverse was so much better?
She powered up and instantly summoned her bow, loading it with three arrows all pointing straight towards the cats heart that she seemed so eager to leave on show.
"Oh, hi Sassolite!" she called out rather blatantly before leaving the corrupt senshi with one thought.
"...please... be safe..."
Within moments, the cat scampered off, mindful of any other arrows that might have been shot in her direction.
