The battlefield shall be...The Fire Field!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.
This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

Cadence entered the stadium from the north end. She had her brown hair tied up in a messy bun and was white sneakers with light blue laces, jean shorts held up by a black leather belt, a white tanktop, and a black sweatshirt. Approaching the trainer's stand she climbed up the ladder and looked out over the stadium as the screen randomized the fields. It slowed and came to a stop on the fire field.
She wasn't thrilled with the selection but at least Branimir and Torryn should be able to do alright. She would try to keep Amaryllis out of the battle if she could help it, she really didn't want her inherited mouse pokemon burning it's feet in her first battle with it.
She slipped out of her sweatshirt and set it on the platform at her feet while she waited for her opponent to appear. She wasn't sure who it would be, after all, anyone could come to the stadium for training battles, but she was excited and anxious to begin nonetheless.

Clyde entered the stadium in a generic trainer's ensamble from the south end. His normally red hair was dyed black for the occasion. He almost wished black were his permeant color. A red cap hid the spiky structure of his hair. As a Rocket Executive, he couldn't afford to be seen here. Though he could normally find someone to train with him, he was tired of the same old battles with the same old Rockets. He had to get out sometimes, ya'know.
He smiled at the sight of the fire field. All his pokemon would be in their element here.

He was never fond of the saying "ladies first," so he didn't mind in the least tossing his Volcarona's pokeball onto the field. A flash of bright red, and the large insect appeared, hovering over the field.
Hades narrowed his eyes at his surroundings. Towering rock pillars of varying heights, a molten glowing puddle of liquid fire. A net. He'd make it a point get rid of that if he could...

Cadence spied the man entering from the other end of the stadium and she gave him a wave as greeting. As the light flashed on his side of the screen signaling that he would start off the battle she shrugged, getting the first move was nice but it wasn't necessary to win a battle.
When the light of his pokeball flashed and a Volcarona was revealed she nodded and thought over her options. A moment later she grasped a pokeball of her own from her belt and tossed it into the air. "Let's go Torryn!" she called as the red glow faded to reveal her pidgeotto.HP: 900/900 [Move Used: --] [Moves Used So Far: --]

The Volcarona clicked the mandibles in his mouth in annoyance. A pidgeotto? Tch, he'd destroy it. He began fanning the hot air with his wings, electricity sparking from his body.
"Wild Charge!" Clyde commanded, though even he couldn't ignore that the Volcarona was a bit out of his control.
Hades whirled forward through the air at the bird pokemon.

Torryn eyed the flying bug intensely as it began to spark with electricity. As the bug came towards him he dropped into a dive. He managed to avoid the worst of the attack but a few stray sparks managed to hit his tail feathers and he fluttered unevenly for a few moments before regaining control of himself and swooping back around the pillars. Riding the drafts of warm air rising from the lava pool below he eyed Cadence for directions.Cadence watched as Torryn regained his control and she thought quickly about what she could do that would be most effective. If that bug knew electric moves that was very bad for Torryn. A few moments later and she had decided her course of action. "Torryn use Air Cutter!" if this didn't work she could always try a few other tricks but with any luck they would make a dent in the moth's hit points.Hearing the command that Cadence issued Torryn soared up into the sky and flapped his wings quickly to create a dangerous series of gusts that cut through the air of the stadium and headed for his opponent.HP: 750/900 Move Used: Air Cutter Moves Used So Far: Air Cutter, ?, ?, ?

One moment Hades was speeding through the warm air, the next he felt the same warm air slice into one of his wings. Damn, that stung. He glared at his opponent and began to recharge his body with electricity.
"Again!" Clyde commanded pointlessly. His pokemon was going to do what he wanted, but Clyde wasn't about to look like a fool who had no power over the Volcarona.
Hades soared through the hot air, body cackling with electricity.

Torryn saw the electricity start up again and knew what was coming this time. He swooped to the left but the moth clipped his wing and he plummeted a good distance before regaining control and flying back up above the pillars in the stadium. A glance to Cadence revealed her using the hand signal for a repeat attack and he was quick to oblige. He began beating his wings together, once again causing quite a few damaging gusts to carry through the stadium.Cadence lowered her hand after Torryn saw her signal and she waited to see if he could land a critical hit on the moth before it did too much more damage.HP: 600 / 900 Move Used: Air Cutter Moves Used So Far: Air Cutter, ?, ?, ?

Hades buzzed with anger as he felt another sharp gust of air piece a wing. That was close to being critical. He attempted to dive at the Pidgeotto, charged with electricty, once more.
"Just keep it up!" Clyde commanded. The bug seemed to have a good enough strategy anyway.

The electrified bug managed to clip Torryn's tail feathers once again and the poor bird was getting sick of being shocked. He turned quickly and unleashed another Air Cutter attack at the moth.Cadence could tell that Torryn was starting to get tired, she just hoped he would be able to hold out long enough to take down the moth.HP: 450 / 900 Move Used: Air Cutter Moves Used So Far: Air Cutter, ?, ?, ?

Hades let out a buzzing growl at his opponent. How dare they? Another sharp blast pierced his side. He rushed forward again to deliver a Wild Charge.
Clyde gritted his teeth, wishing he could yell for his pokemon to hurry it up, but treatment of his tools like that wasn't acceptable in normal trainer culture.

Torryn plummeted as he was struck by the electrified moth once again. He managed to catch himself just before he hit the netting that separated him from the lava and he swooped back up on a warm air current. Leveling an angry glare at the moth he let loose with another Air Cutter.Cadence flinched as Torryn was hit but managed to draw a breath again when he recovered and launched another attack at the moth. Air Cutter seemed to be their best bet so she was content to let her pidgeotto continue attacking but she wondered if there was something else she could do instead.HP: 300 / 900 Move Used: Air Cutter Moves Used So Far: Air Cutter, ?, ?, ?

A powerful Air Cutter sliced into his wing. It was getting harder and harder to keep them moving at the point. Much to the Volcarona's dismay, he was feeling extremely tired in general. But he wasn't about to lose to a mere Pidgeotto. He charged forward again.
