Back from the taxing attempts to drag Harrison back to reality, Rep had found himself ridiculously out of shape and his first priority, above all else was to get himself back on form. After all, it was imperative as a Sun hunter to be fit, it could be the difference between coming back from a mission and not. So everything else had been set on hold while he ate as well as he could and trained his every waking hour.
It was during one such training session that he decided that what he really needed to test his level of recovery was an actual honest to goodness battle. Dummies weren't an accurate measure of anything much when most of your weapon was backed with weight.
Skimming through his phone he decided to go with Death, they tended to have the most nimble and challenging guys around. Deryk he recalled seeing around but didn't recall his actual weapon, a factor which made challenging him even more down to chance. He texted him.
Quote: Sup? If you aren't doing anything much, fancy a spar?
Worst he could say was no. And then Rep could move onto coward taunts.

Upon seeing the text, Deryk actually paled a little bit. The message wasn't all that intimidating, but it was from Rep. He was kind of afraid of that guy. And for a moment, he thought that he should just... try and ignore the message. But no. No. This was probably nothing. The guy probably wasn't looking to pummel his face into the ground for whatever reason. Just a friendly spar. Fidgeting, he was trying to decide what to do. He continued to fret about this for some time, then decided to go with it. Just a friendly spar. Nothing too bad. That's all this was. He just.. hoped he didn't end up getting cleaved in half. He saw how big Rep's weapon is. It wasn't hard to spot the guy out in fights and such because of it. Quote: Sure. See you in training fields, yes "IreallyhopeIdon'tendupregrettingthiiiss," he whined to himself before making his way over to the training fields. Nervously. He could use more fighting experience anyway.

Rep had Tracey summoned already when Deryk arrived at the training fields, leaning on the axe's hooked handle and sipping from a can of Irn-Bru he'd brought with him. He hadn't been sure if the man would actually have time to kill sparring him, most people tended to react negatively to his reputation and (often quite rightly) assume the worst of his intentions. Getting a text back was a pleasant surprise and nerves set in immediately.
His track record with spars was horrendous before, it was anyone's guess how it would be now. Nerves weren't too much of an issue though, it was only intolerable to lose to a woman. Guys, he could live with.
He inclined his head slightly in greeting."Ey." he said with a smirk. "Ta for coming out."

Deryk was glad he had his hood up. Hopefully it helped hide some of his nervousness right now. Pausing as he saw Rep on the field with his massive weapon, he was really wondering if this was a smart idea. That blade looked bigger when it was about to be used against himself instead of another. Getting hit by it had to suck royally too.
"Y-yeah no problem," he managed with a nervous grin before summoning Tooley, who just appeared as a sort of leather bracer at his left arm. Parrying that gigantic thing was a no go for sure.
He was going to need to be quick if he didn't want to get hit. Though, with as much room as that thing took, getting out of the way might not be too easy.
"A-alright... letsdothis," he mumbled, though it was more to himself than to Rep.

Well. Here goes nothing. Biting his lower lip, Deryk steeled his nerves before charging towards Rep. It might not have been the smartest thing, but he really didn't know what else he could do aside from trying to get in the first hit. If the red head had been first to charge... well. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to get out of the way or if his body would freeze up in terror of seeing the giant blade of doom coming at him, aiming to cut his body in half.
Or something like that.
Thankfully, he managed to get within his own personal range, and it was then that he shot his left arm out. The hidden blade popped out with a shnk! as he aimed at the Sun hunter's shoulder.

The minute Deryk summoned his weapon, Rep knew he was in trouble.
Back at the start, he'd have laughed and made some kind of snide jibe about sizes and small being ridiculous, these days after sparring Dakota he was starting to learn that small weapons were about the most dangerous things anyone could level at him. Without Harrison to fill in the gaps in his fighting style he left himself wide open more often than not.
He wasn't expecting the other guy to have the guts to strike first, which meant he wasn't snappy enough to parry, hefting Tracey up but not fast enough to clear the ground before the now not-so-hidden blade collided with his shield. It hurt a lot, as he expected, the impact narrow and focused. Size was nothing at all on Deus, he was fast learning.
Finally getting some momentum going, he brought Tracey around, hoping for some retribution.
Levelling the broad edge of the axe at Deryk's midriff, he aimed to try and scare him back out of range, and hopefully take out a bit of shield while he was at it. The recoil from the strike made him smirk.

Rep was moving, though Deryk thought that he might be able to get in something before he could lay the smack down. The death hunter did manage to get in another jab, but he probably should have tried to back away instead of strike. Then again, he didn't really have much room being so close and he ended up getting knocked right off his feet as the axe slammed into his body. If it weren't for his shield, he'd be a dead man right about now.
Though it still hurt like hell, especially with the way he tumbled back.
"Ow...." he groaned as he pushed himself back to his feet. Shakily, he held his weapon out before him... not that he could even begin to try blocking or parrying anything with her.

The strike did wonders for Rep's confidence, even as his shield was rattled with another jab, he was building up momentum. His body might still have felt stiff, like he was fighting while restricted in his movement, but sheer enthusiasm and drive fought back against it. He would kick his body into shape if it was the last thing he did, and winning this fight would be the first real challenge he'd had in a while. Range was key, whenever Deryk got close, it hurt a lot. He had to be mobile.
Twisting his entire body, he pulled Tracey back from Deryk, reversing the momentum in the other direction. To close the distance he rammed the spray of feather like blades into the dirt and leapt, vaulting up and over the distance, yanking it out of the ground with the force of his weight and bringing the entire axe over his shoulder in a massive cleave.

Deryk was watching Rep nervously. He needed to get close again. There was no way for him to hit the guy otherwise. He couldn't even throw Tooley if he wanted to try a ranged attack. While he was trying to think of how he was going to get within his range again, his eyes soon widened as he saw Rep leap at him.
"AAAAAAH!" he screamed before scrambling. The attack kind of grazed him. But a graze from a weapon that bit still hurt a bit. It would have been a lot worse if that had been a direct hit though. Biting his lip again, he tried to capitalize on the moment. It should take Rep a couple seconds to recover from swinging that heavy right?
He hoped so.
Moving in close, he struck, aiming to stab into the bigger man's side while he had the chance.

The worst part about swinging Tracey was that he stayed swung, half of the exertion of battles came from pulling the axe out of whatever he'd embedded it in, this time the ground. It was the times he missed Harrison most, because he had no way at all to keep the Death hunter back from him in those few vulnerable moments and once again his side paid the price, snarling in pain as reflexive adrenaline gave him the kick to retrieve the axe properly. He'd been zen to start with, but desperation and anger were starting to cloud logical thought.
<> he barked mentally at Tracey, who impatiently hissed back. <Close. Less talking, more hitting things>
But he already was, this time shifting his grip to the lower half of the axe, keeping it close and defensive before twisting viciously and bringing the bladed hook around at the other man's legs.
Tracey's voice always contorted into a truly demonic sounding hiss when he was excited and it sent chills along Rep's spine.
These became much less negative chills as he hit the point of charge and adrenaline flooded his system.

Deryk took another heavy hit as the large axe hooked his legs and caused him to slam into the ground as he was tripped. Coughing from the impact, he winced while trying to scramble back to his feet. Being on the ground was a bad spot for him with Rep as his opponent. Things also weren't looking too good for him in general.
But thankfully, he could hear Tooley humming with excitement, letting him know that she was ready for release. And so, once he was back to his feet, he jumped up into the air, pulling his left fist back. Light burst from his weapon, enveloping the blade in a green aura.
All in all, he essentially tried to jump onto Rep as he stabbed Tooley down by his neck. Aerial assassination style.

The entire world for Rep receded to irrelevance, entirely locked onto the battle at hand, with a charge up there was absolutely no better feeling, a sort of zen place where all that mattered was making the right choices to win. He felt absolutely vindicated in choosing a Death hunter as his opponent, Deryk was quick to punish his weak points and to capitalise on errors, all miles superior to the forgiving practice dummies.
He knew a charge had to be on its way, the crackle and thrum of Tracey felt over all else, overriding his thudding heart, even his thoughts. But there was no way to tell what Deryk would do, he'd never fought him before and his charge was a mystery.
When he jumped, Rep lost sight of him for just a millisecond, it was all it took for the strike to land, hard. If he'd been human it would have been lights out in a very permanent sort of way, as it was, it knocked the air right out of his lungs and sent him reeling back, clutching at his throat as he gasped for air in surprise, only even keeping his footing by sheer virtue of his spread footed stance.
He snarled out loud, a sound that was only barely human, and let the charge take him, handing himself completely over to Tracey. He didn't think for a moment that using it might be a bad idea, Deryk was extremely capable so far and he was certain he'd be lucky to even clip him.
Tracey had missed the raw fear energy of a charge. Being human had been fun but humans didn't have so much power, it was like an old friend.
The runes all across the black axe's surface crackled loudly and flared in brightness, bleeding off onto the air, dripping runic energy onto the ground where it faded to nothing. Hemmoraging this energy, it was his turn to leap, the axe lined up with his body like a spread black wing. He twisted around it in mid air, letting Tracey guide them, flying on wings of adrenaline and power. He arched his back and turned their trajectory groundward.
He barely remembered the moment of impact, simply a twisted and tinny taste of energy and the crackle of spent power. He stumbled to the ground, no one to catch him, and tried to catch his desperate breath.
He laughed giddily, not sure where he even was for a few moments.
It was only as senses returned that he looked around in panic. "...you awright?"

For a moment, Deryk thought he might be doing alright in this fight. He had taken some heavy hits, but he was holding his own somewhat alright against the Sun Hunter. Though, the moment he saw the runs on Tracey glow, he knew trouble was to be had. Grey-blue eyes widened with fear as he started to try and scramble back.
He wasn't really sure what had happened. It went by pretty quickly in all actuality. All he knew was that his body wasn't moving as fast as it needed to. The massive impact shattered his fear shield on the spot, and it was quickly followed by a spray of crimson as the blade cut into him almost just as easily. Once more, he had fallen, but at this point, he wasn't even aware of what was happening to him any longer. Though, it was likely hard to tell if the blade had knocked him down, or if he just crumpled on his own.
It didn't matter too much as the death hunter was lying on the ground with a gruesome red line running down his torso where he had been struck. It was a color that was quickly seeping onto the ground around him.
Deryk didn't answer Rep's question as he never heard it in the first place.

Harrison had been there, if not down in the fields.
He'd been taking it easy for the most part, volunteering for the quiet watch duties and struggling through a quarter of his old workout routine in mornings. B0nez had been quick to pick up the slack though, treating his body as usual like a machine that needed system maintenance STAT, and Harrison had been pushing himself, not wanting to be caught off guard.
The Horsemen hadn't made a move yet, but they were still in full force.
It spooked him he'd been out so long. It could have happened any time.
Rep had been taking it easy for the most part too, but he was relieved to see him back out on the fields.
He watched their
Ohhhh s**t, he said under his breath, climbing to his feet. He didn't even have to watch the blow hit to know that either Rep or Deryk were in serious trouble. ...Probably Deryk. ...There was a reason for the phrase getting the axe. Harrison pushed, and by the time the dirt had started to settle, he had the first aid kit on the ground and some experimental s**t from the labs. Check for breaks. Stop the bleeding. Stabilize him.

Rep recoiled when he saw the blood. Absolute panic took over the giddy rush of battle. That was a lot of blood, a whole ******** lot of blood. Tracey got desummoned in an instant and he started backing up, away from the scene, even as Harrison moved in to help.
He looked like he was considering making a run for it, maybe he could outrun responsibility for this one.
