I heard
I heard,
today

An ancient porch, creaking with distant
Relevant memories remedies melodies reveries
and so she sighs with the weight of a dove

I heard, today

A tree breaking under strikingly beautiful pressure - the sound of a drum,
A heart breaking-
and still waves hit the shore, calling it a liar

I heard today

Strings crecendoing into totally taboo galaxies of sound
Nothing to do but enjoy the fabrics of the cage
and yet Death smiles at you in the light of day

I heard, today, I heard

Colors meshing into a cascade of drunken words,
Words thrown at you from the skies of bellowing... angels?
and these screams reach your ears but bypass your heart, throbbing

Today, I heard

Lips tearing at what was known, spines cursing the ground
Souls convulsing in the ebb and flow of passing stars
and so Night has made love to Day, and we are scared

and now
Now I can still hear

"No turning back" as the walls begin to crack
The sounds of bells and deadly smiles break silences, silences that
came from lost stares in this blind glow

And now, I see, I guess,
Lost words catapulting off a fluid paper
in the bones of my mind
