[PRP] Oh! you can't talk? - Sabria,Adriana, Damien and Al

This little staryu somehow had managed to get itself lost, after swimming up the river from the ocean it thought it has found itself a new home. Away from humans away from the loneliness, after all pokemon here may not be able to understand it, but perhaps it could find a new colony of staryu's or starmies to live with.

Exiting the waters edge the poor little staryu had tentatively searched the forest to find any pokemon who may understand it. Thus far the result was typical, it had found many pokemon but non could really understand it beyond the gestures it made. Almost defeated the staryu voyaged further, stumbeling out of the forest...and to its dismay into a human settlement. Wanting to flee it quickly ducked behind a tree. It was feeling very dehydrated, for it had ventured quite a ways without any water.

Perking it heard a promising sound, water. Well a water fountain. It was...nearby...but humans probably walked past it often. Would it get captured being so exposed? At this point it didn't matter to the staryu weither it was discovered it needed water...and it needed it NOW.

Walking at a brisk pace as best a star shaped creature could it dived into the fountain, relishing in the coolness of it, though it was soon trying to hide in the foot deep water...much to no avail.

It had been quite a while since Damien had ventured to the little town beyond the forest lands, he had only been there once before as a Pokemon before moving to the city, and on this day he decided it was time to refresh his memory. He loaded up a picnic basket, several canteens of water, and woke his lover and daughter for a good stroll down the river. The smell of the forest soon simmered into the scent of food that town vendors were cooking, and an old favorite soon took hold on his mind.

"HOT DOG! WHOOO!" He cried out as soon as they entered town. He didn't care where they were or how much they cost, he wanted some good old fashioned hot dogs.

"Don't eat too many, Dai! We have a picnic to eat!" Alabaster shouted. He sighed, rubbed his temples and gazed down to Adriana, who was happily holding onto his hand. "Your daddy's got quite an appetite for hot dogs, doesn't he, Adri?"

"Chiiiii!" Chirped Adriana, nodding up at Alabaster. She really didn't understand what he was saying, or really why they had left the house in the first place, but as long as he parents were happy, then everything must be okay. Red eyes rolled around the area in an inattentive manner before they locked onto the fountain in the middle of the square. "Chiii! Play there!" She squeaked, tugging Alabaster over to the fountain. "Water dancing! Pretty! Chiiii!"

The little satryu having found refuge in the fountain was paying close attention to those who were human or at least having a human shaped appearance approaching. Ducking low into the water you'd swear if it had eyes it would be glaring in the general direction of the trio that had come within ear shot. The little staryu wanted to flee, but felt that it had no choice but to hunker down and hope that the three would pass by and not notice that it was there.

Laying on its back it tried to sink to the bottom, since it was a water type it was at home being under water, and it didn't really need to breath..so it would wait. If some past by they would probably wonder what a staryu was doing in a fountain in the first place...not to mention laying on the bottom of it...looking as if it had drowned. Or was in the process of drowning...

Adriana leaned over the fountain with wide, innocent eyes. She marveled at the dancing water, the shiny pennies and the giant star-like figure laying underneath the water. ...Wait, a giant star!? "Chiiiiiiiiii!" She squealed, clamouring into the fountain. "Look, giant star! It fall into fountain!" She knelt down to Sabria, her hair getting soaked by a falling stream of water. "Is star hurt? Look sick! Chiiii!"

"Adriana! You'll get soaked!" Alabaster cried. He rushed over to Damien and pulled him, and all the hot dogs he could carry, over to the fountain. "Adriana's in the fountain!"

Damien, who had been chowing down on hot dogs, took a few more bites as he peered at his boyfriend. "She's a kid, let her get soaked!" He exclaimed, turning his attention to his daughter. His eyes fell on Sabria and his eye brow arched. "Whoa, little one. You're a long long way from home, aren't you?" He moved over to the side of the fountain and kenlt down to her level. "You should be out in the river or the ocean! What are you doing sitting in a fountain?"

The staryu noticed the little one squeezing I it's general direction, it's first instinct was back away and thus this is what it did, although it was more just skidding along the bottom turning as it did so to get a better look at the girl who had tried to 'rescue' it. Oh no....there were more coming this ones bigger!

The desire to flee filled it and it sat up only to be taken aback when one of the older males spoke to it. If it could blink it would of done so, instead it just paused moving to the centre of the fountain to get out of arms reach. At the question it felt frustrated...for it could not respond in the same way. So it tipped the top point down like it was nodding in response to his question. Yes it was far from home...and was rather stuck in this fountain unless it gave up and went back to which it had come from. Which wasn't an option....

The crystal I the centre of its body blinked in rapid succession and though it made sounds....nothing came across as real words. It sagged defeated as it had...tried to converse its deliema to the older male. It was clear it was not sick, though in distress.

Adriana followed Sabria to the middle of the fountain like the curious child she was and sat down next to her. Though she wasn't able to understand what was going on or why the Staryu was acting so strange, she did understand that the other Pokemon was in some form of distress. She reached over and wrapped Sabria in a gentle hug.
"Chiii, you lost. Poor star..." She cooed. "Adri can make it better! We play in fountain?"

"Aw, don't be shy..." Damien reassured, smiling at Sabria. "I only want to help you out. You just need to tell me where you live and we can get you back there in no time!"

Alabaster tapped Damien on the shoulder and shook his head. After observing Sabria carefully and listening to the odd sounds she made, he was almost certain that the other Pokemon was trying to communicate but was physically incapable.
"Dai, I don't think they can speak." He said. "I used to know someone that was mute when I was a Pokemon. They could make odd sounds but none of it was able to be translated." He paused and turned his attention to Sabria. "Am I right? Or am I far off?"

The staryu jerked back at the touch, it couldn't help it after all the entire time it had been here it had been avoiding humans to avoid being captured like all its friends back home so it pulled away in a frantic motion, although not wanting to hurt the child it didn't do anything besides pull away and try and reach the far side of the fountain.

It only stopped when the other older boys spoke about its condition, the jewel blinked in rapid session and the blips it made seemed to betray excitement. Without even nodding its top point you got the idea that Alabaster had got it on the nose. Yes the poor staryu couldn't talk, it had never been able to and thus had been very lonely most of its life.

Shifting from star point to star point it seemed to look uncomfortable and it gestured with another star point to the fountain and then off to the forest to indicate where it had come from.

"No like hugs...?" Adriana muttered, blinking. This star was so strange! Hugs made everything all better! Red eyes scanned Sabria with a mix of amazement and disbelief. What could cause something to not want a hug? This was so confusing! "Chiii... No understand..."

Alabaster smiled at Sabria and heaved a relieved sigh. He could understand her cues much better than his boyfriend and daughter could, which was a good thing. Know all he had to do was try and understand why the poor little Staryu was in the fountain in the first place.
"Alright, I hope that I haven't embarrassed you." He said with a slight chuckle. He watched as she gestured to the forest and nodded, his suspicions were confirmed. "You came from the river, didn't you? That's pretty far down there! Did something chase you away?"

Damien cocked his head to the side and bit into another hot dog. Suddenly, his eyes widened and he reached for the picnic basket. "How rude of me!" He exclaimed, rummaging through the food. "Would you like to share some lunch with us? Your journey must've made you hungry!"

The staryu 'glanced' at the little one that seemed quite upset with it pulling away from her, it felt bad it hadn't experienced making another upset before at least not a humanist type....part of it felt the need to console her, the other wiser or at least more paranoid part told it to keeps its distance. Waffling back and forth om the proper course of action, the staryu was glad to be distracted by the questions Alabaster was asking it.

Was it chased out from the stream? No. So the staryu shook its top point, no not chased...it had been trying,to find a new home...but got stuck here in the fountain instead. At the mention of food the staryu 'stared' at Damien offered lunch mildly confused. That was food? Inching closer to get a better look it was obvious it had no idea what to make of a hot dog.

Backing away slightly it moved back towards the,little girl blinking its light at her as it trying to stop her from being upset.

Alabaster blinked and scratched his chin. So it wasn't chased away from it's home? What could have made it want to leave it then? If it were up to him, he would have never run away from his old home, but the level of danger was too high for him to handle! "Hmm..." He pondered. "Were you afraid of something? Or were you just trying to find a new place to be?"

"Chiii?" Adriana chirped. Sabria's blinking confused her further and even made her dizzy! Why was it blinking at her? "Blinky make Adri dizzy... Waaaaa..."

"Not hungry...?" Damien muttered, blinking. Maybe it didn't like hot dogs! He dug through the picnic basket and pulled out a bag of cookies and a small tub of yogurt. "Um..." He paused, making a face at the yogurt. "I thought I got rid of this sugar free crap..."

The staryu sagged a bit, apparently what she was trying to do wasn't working and was only causing the girl to become dizzy. So it stopped blinking and looked rather defeated, thus far the only one who seemed to be having any luck deciphering what it was trying to say was Alabaster. So turning back to that one it 'looked' at him trying to figure out how to ...gesture it's response to his question.

A slow shake to indicate no to the first part of the question, afraid of something? Yes and no. It hadn't wanted to be alone anymore...and it was afraid of being captured by humans so it had left cause all its friends and family had been captured...so how did one gesture that? Rather than try to explain it just nodded its head to the second question. Yes a new home was the goal.

The cookie...was interesting enough to grab its attention. First of all it smelt amazing...never have had anything sweet in its life it felt itself drawn over to the scrumptious thing unwillingly. Twitching slightly as if....it wanted to snatch the cookie and gobble it up, but didn't want to come across as rude.
