Eva wasn't really one for dreams. When she wasn't having nightmares thanks to the latest Deus Ex missions, her mind was usually coming up with ridiculous scenarios. The last dream she could recall involved riding a unicorn to the mall to go Christmas shopping...

...Which was pretty hard to top, but seeing a mirror image of herself was pretty damn weird too. To be fair, she didn't see her other self first--she felt her. The moment Eva was made aware of her dream surroundings--a large clearing located in the middle of a forest--she was suddenly also aware of someone warm pressed up against her, their arms wrapped around her shoulders and their cheek pressed against hers. Her first instinct was to freeze up and squeak in surprise.

Oh, how the tables have turned.

When the former viera drew back to grin at her, Eva stared at her face with wide, questioning eyes. "I, er...hey there! You're...me?" A pause, and then she took a step back to look the other girl up and down, taking in her full appearance. "Me if I were...scantily dressed?"

The fragment let out a laugh, her lips splitting into a wide grin as she propped her hands up on her hips. "Uh, yeah, kind of! It's a little complicated, but I guess you can say I'm your...reflection."

Eva gave this a moment to sink in before smiling and giving a little shrug. Well, she could accept that--after all, this was a dream, right? She had no problem accepting whatever weird thing her dream-people told her. Grinning, she mimicked her other's pose by putting her hands up on her own hips. "Sure, I'll take it! So what brings you here, inappropriately-dressed me? Anything I can help you with?"

"Hm? Oh, no, I just...I wanted to check up on you, is all." Without warning, the fragment lifted her hand, resting it gently against Eva's cheek as her blue eyes met hers. "So you really are the one whose memory I was born from." She murmured, her expression softening for a moment. The thoughtful expression was gone in an instant though, quickly replaced by a familiar and characteristic grin.

"Anyways! I know it sounds nuts, but I really am a part of you, in a way. And, well, you see...I was kiiiind of wondering if you'd take me in?" Grinning sheepishly, she clasped her hands behind herself and twisted herself back and forth like a fidgeting child, "I'm you, but at the same time, I'm a completely different person from who you are. I wasn't really supposed to be born--I shouldn't even exist right now--but now that I do, I'm...admittedly a little scared of just disappearing, you know? The idea of just poofing away with no one to remember me is a little..."

She shook her head, though a faint smile played on her lips when she noticed the worried expression on Eva's face. "So I know it's kind of abrupt but...would you mind? Taking in my memories I mean. My friends and I have already parted ways, but so long as at least one person remembers me--"

She was interrupted by Eva, who grinned and suddenly reached out to hug her mirror image, pressing her cheek against hers. "Say no more. I can't say that I fully understand this reflection stuff, but being forgotten...that's just too sad. Lay your memories on me, okay? I promise I'll keep them safe."

The fragment's expression suddenly relaxed, a big, warm smile blooming over her face. "You...really?! Aaah, thank you so much! And in return, let me give you a friendly tip: when there's something you want, remember to use your greatest asset to your advantage."

...Greatest asset? A pause and a pair of furrowed brows later, Eva chirped out a slow, "My smile?"

"Your butt, sweetheart."

"Oh."

And as the dream began to fade, Eva was suddenly aware of a series of scenes--no, memories--rushing into her mind. When she woke up, it was with a start, her hand flying up to her head as she tried to get used to having all of these unfamiliar experiences flooding her mind. As she noticed flashes of her fragment's former form--a Viera--come into the forefront of her mind, the girl frowned a little and reached back to pat her own butt.

"Man, nice butt or not, I'm don't think I'm going to dress like that anytime soon."
