The day was crisp, just the lightest of snow falling throughout the meadow, Birds could be heard singing songs of spring, and everywhere you looked signs of the changing seasons shone as bright as the sunlight that danced though the light cloud cover.
Harper had been enjoying this place for some time now, Every day he'd wake up to a new scene as little sprouts of grass would bravely poke up from the fading snow. Today was no different though special to him all the same. He had just found some crisp winter berries to munch on when the sounds of the birds distracted him enough to leave the shade of the trees for the opening of the clearing. His bright purple eye's widened as he noticed the start of spring flowers. "Is it really spring time?" he spoke softly to himself, not sure if anyone else would be around to hear him.

Ah, spring was coming, the signs were everywhere. The spring birds were returning from their migration and singing their merry songs under the warm sun. More green was peeking out from bits of white. It was just so beautiful, it could bring tears to ones eyes.
In fact, it nearly did as Hokulani stood in the clearing, taking in the sights of random patches of flowers beginning to bloom. Spring was the mare's favorite season, not only for the emerging beauty, but for the emerging romances that come along with it. Sure, there are those who believe in summer love, but spring is when true love comes about. She shook her hopeless romantic thoughts aside as she trotted slowly through the clearing. Not too far from her, she could see the line of the trees of the forest. But something more, a purple speck. Was another soquili out and about? A smile formed on her lips at that thought and gingerly made her way over.
