Roleplay Example:

Vulthuryol lay curled up at the heart of a mountain. His black scales shone through the shadows like shards of onyx. He had spent the last four centuries asleep, letting the apes fight amongst themselves like all lower races did. But now something disturbed his slumber. Opening one large amber eye Vulthuryol searched for the source. In the depths he could hear the sound of steel on stone. As he moved the silence of his cave was shattered by a loud crash, it seemed that whilst he slept the mountain had tried to claim him. The drips from the stalactites had formed a crust of rock over his scales, but like many things they couldn't contain the might of a dragon.

Out the corner of his eye, Vulthuryol saw something gleaming in the dark. Turning his head away he let loose a burst of flame that clung to the cave wall, giving him some light. Shrinking down to a smaller form he went to inspect his find. He had chosen an elven form as he always did, since out of the primitive races the elves showed the most promise. Kneeling down, Vulthuryol picked up a small piece of silver ore. As he stared at the precious metal the sound of mining grew closer until a pick breached the wall. Standing up straight he turned to the where his cave was being breached. At first he suspected the dwarves, the little rodents bread like rabbit and dug tunnels just as much. But as more of the stone feel away he found to his surprise humans, unlike the humans he remembered these ones wore more than simple furs but instead full clothing like the elves had.

As the first miner saw him Vulthuryol could tell he was just as shocked. "What the... How'd he get in here? And why is he naked?" It was true, since he was alone in this cave he hadn't bothered converting his fur into clothes. The humans spoke a strange dialect but one that was easy for him to learn, especially with their frantic prattling. Eventually one stepped forwards, his garb seemed finer than the others and he wore precious stones around his neck and fingers. "You, how did you get in here? Are you some sort of wizard." Vulthuryol truly considered his answer, he was only just beginning to learn their tongue and didn't want to say something stupid. "No, I am no wizard." He almost cringed as the words came out of his mouth, so uncivil compared to the beauty of the dragon tongue.

The humans seemed kind enough, they gave him some clothes and food but then it happened. As always humans were deceitful and greedy. Even through the talking of the workers he could make out a few words from their master, slavery, profit, words of man that had not changed much over the centuries. As the humans led him outside it was shocking how much the world had changed, where forests had once been were town and roads. The humans had butchered the land to serve them, something not even a dragon would do. His mind was brought back as he felt a blade against his back. "Now then, I want you to kneel down nice and slowly. The market doesn't pay well if the goods are damaged." This was the last straw, from his throat rose a dreadful growl that had once sent the humans ancestors running for cover. The men back away if only a little but it gave him enough room. As he returned to his true form, many of the apes ran back down the mine while others headed off like headless chickens, rolling down hills and into rivers just to escape him. The man wielding the knife however was frozen with fear as Vulthuryol's amber eyes fell upon him. It was pathetic, the ape couldn't even scream only whimper as he soiled himself. He wasn't even worth it, but the sake of honour alone he opened his mouth. There was hardly a sound as he torched the human, the only thing that remained was a few melted bits of metal and boiling patch of stone. Spreading his wings he took flight, it was good to finaly get out into the open air.

Roleplay Example: "Where am I?" the Human murmured as he awoke from a deep slumber, close to unconsciousness. He attempted to stand, but stumbled to the ground again as he saw, in the dim light of the cave at dusk, the grand dragon who loomed over the cave's only entrance, looking like a slate and onyx statue as she stood motionless, staring out towards the hills.
Slowly, she turned her head and said, in a soft voice, "Settle down, you will reopen your wounds." She scanned his body with her violet eyes, making sure he hadn't loosened his bandages. After such a battle, he was in no condition to even stand.
"What is your name, dragon?" the Human demanded, still white with fear even though he tried to put up a brave front. "Shall I metamorphosize?" she asked, and when he quickly nodded, she changed into her mortal form, and he sighed in relief. "This is uncomfortable for me..." the dragon complained.
"You still haven't told me your name!" the Human insisted, struggling to sit upright, and the dragon leader, although intrigued by her new human companion, hissed, "Silence, civilian. If you are so anxious to know, I am Zephyra the Titan, I am a dragon leader, and you are one Human who is lucky I saved his life. Now rest."
