George had heard some rumors of a gambling ring going on in this bar just outside of the city. He wasn't sure if anything was really going on but figured he should at least look into it. Maybe it was just all talk or maybe there was more to it. He walked in, looking around as he went to the bar pulling up a seat. He sat down ordering a beer and just enjoying it for now. He figured he would keep his eyes open for anything suspicious but wasn't going to get his hopes up.

Tyr had followed George into the bar unsure why they were going there. Generally when George went here, he either left him at home or put him in the ball. This time though he had walked into the bar without doing that. So he walked in right behind George and laid down next to the chair that George was sitting in waiting for what their purpose was here.

Smiling George saw that Tyr had just come in and laid down next to his chair trusting George but also remaining alert. He was a good partner for his business, he reached down and pet Tyr letting him know things were ok. "Stay alert pal, this isn't just pleasure we are here for but I don't know exactly what is going on yet."

He wasn't sure if Tyr could understand him but he liked talking to him to let him know the plan and also it seemed right for him to do that. George ordered some small finger foods and some treats for Tyr. He would just enjoy the atmosphere and food while waiting for some kind of proof something was going on.

A light, feminine chortle erupted from the couple to enter into the bar. Osmond was grinning with mirth to the woman wrapped about his arm, but upon seeing the profile of a familiar face, he stalled and lightly pushed her off, nudging his chin in warning to the cop at the counter. The woman, Cetus -- or rather, Mrs. Pearls -- pursed her lips and withdrew from his form, folding her arms across her chest as the two walked in unison into the area.

Scratching the back of his head, Osmond approached George with a bit of hesitance. "Heeey, there, bud," he said, quirking his head near the male's shoulder. "What're you doing here? Taking a leisure drink?"

Cetus took a seat next to Osmond, cricking her head to a slant to the other male. "Ah, Osmond, aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Ah, right, right. Hey, George, this is my friend, Claramay Pearls. She's a coordinator here in the region. I know her husband."

Cetus offered a warm smile. "Pleasure. I take it you're a cop?" she inquired to the male.

Suddenly, the entrance/exit to the bar flipped open again as a lithe Liepard trotted in. Cetus shifted her glance to the Dark-type, extending a hand and beckoning it over. Shea sauntered over and immediately shifted her warmth against Cetus's thigh, whipping about her tail contently as Cetus scratched the underside of her chin.

Currently unknown to most of the occupants of the bar, several shady figures were seated around a table. The smoky room was only known to a select few; the owner of the bar bribed regularly to keep quiet. Clyde was wary of this, however. Money could only keep someone from talking until a higher amount appeared to loosen their lips...

The Rocket Executive wasn't here strictly on business. In fact, his little operation wasn't a company scheme, just a little fun time with the locals and a few of his fellow Rockets. Plus, being a higher up, it was always easy to recruit lesser-ranking Rockets to join his little scheme. Of course, being Rockets, most were attracted to this sort of activity. Money, power, the adrenaline rush. Local addicts, mostly. Their sad diseases were profitable. Not that Clyde needed money.

At least once a month, Clyde and several other Rockets came to this specific bar, despite it's inconvenient location from the Rocket base. The Charizard he rented each month was nice enough, but the flight and the species of the pokemon always brought mixed and resurfaced feelings for him. Maybe that was what propelled him to continue his gambling ring each month. He was finding more ways than he realized to bury the scars of his past.

Clyde absently gazed around the room, eyes falling on the table in front of him. A pile of poker chips in the center, glasses containing various drinks dotted the table, with just as varied people seated in front of them. There were several other similar tables; his operation had grown. They might need to use a different bar soon. But for now, here they were. The Rocket Executive excused himself from the room. The one downside of the room was that there was no separate bathroom for the room.

He made his way to the stairs in the front of the room. The hidden room was in a section of the basement. A trap door on the floor above lead downwards, though the door itself was concealed behind a faded red curtain. The only way back in was to press the button behind a poster situation on the wall near the curtain. Few ever questioned the curtain, or even noticed it. The owner's private area, they would assume. The Rocket Executive wasn't worried about being caught; he was in normal clothing, a hat concealing his abnormally colored hair. He made his way across the bar to the bathroom.

Ed wandered in, Zelda at heel. Like a couple other local cops, he'd heard murmurs about a gambling ring at this bar, but nothing concrete enough to make a move on. Glancing around, he spotted George. He headed over to the fellow officer, noting the others sitting with him. "Hey, name's Ed," he introduced himself as he sat. Zelda followed his example, rump tight against his seat, fluffy tail tucked under herself so it wouldn't get stepped on. She stared expectantly at Ed. "And this little lady is Zelda," he said after a beat. The pink growlithe tossed her head, looking satisfied.

Usually investigations that took place in bars weren't Nyla's kind of thing. Unlike most of the police force, she was very young and below the legal drinking age. Even if she was there for her job, it wouldn't reflect well to have an underage officer in a bar. But now... She turned 21 recently, and although she wasn't so eager to to take her first drink, she made a stop at one of the local bars for the rumors of criminal activity that surrounded the place.

Of course, the police had no solid case against the bar, so all she could really do was look for evidence. It was easier to do that when no one knew she was an officer, so she dressed in plain clothes and had an inconspicuous Skitty following behind her as she entered. Nyla looked like an excited newly 21 year old, ready to experience adulthood. Nothing suspicious here, nope.

What did stood out to her was the gaggle of people she recognized from the station. Walking towards them, she pulled up a chair to sit next to them all while Tomfoolery watched the other Pokemon warily. "So I guess we're all here for the same reason?" She asked.

Koorie slid through the door of the bar, needing a drink after the day she'd had; training and Artemis did not go hand in hand. Though she had cleaned herself up, she still had bruises and scraps on her arms and a rather nasty burn on her lower calf. At least her clothes looked nice and she didn't smell like something burning.

As she made her way to the bar, she noticed someone familiar out of the corner of her eyes and glanced over to see Ed. A smile almost came to her face and she took a step towards him, then stopped and turned to take her seat on a stool at the counter instead. He was with a group of people, and though she recognized some from her recent 'vacation', she wasn't about ready to simply walk over and crash whatever it was they were doing here.

"Can I get a Long Island please." God she needed the alcohol....

Ed looked around for the waitress, and spotted a familiar head of blue hair. "Scuse me, be right back," he said to the table as he stood. Zelda rested her head on the seat of his chair, saving it for his return.

Making his way to the bar, Ed ordered an extra large basket of fries and a Bloody Shame. Taking his (non-alcoholic) Bloody Mary look-alike, he walked over to Koorie, knowing it would take a minute for the fries to come out. "Please tell me you haven't been beating up criminals again. Lie if you need to," he said with a grin.

Koorie's rather potent drink was set before and she picked it up and took a long sip from it. At the familiar sound of Ed's voice, a very small smirk hinted on her lips and she looked up at him from the rim of her drink. Though she wouldn't admit it, she was a bit pleased, even happy, that he still came over to speak to her. "I haven't been beating up Criminals." True, but her eyes hinted at something else.

"You seem to have a bit of a party going on over there." She made a nod over to his group, deciding not to mention that she had run into a few of them before; specifically George, who she was feeling quite obligated to pay at least for one of his drinks

Her eyes turned to rest back on Ed and she shook her head a little. "It's good to run into you." She took another drunk, the bruises and scrapes a stark contrast against her pale skin.

The various noises of the crowded bar floated around his ears. It was really crowded all of the sudden. He wondered why, and put his guard up. The Rocket didn't visibly tense, but he started examining his environment more sharply. He was almost to the bathroom now, weaving through close-knit tables and the bar itself. He caught a snippet of a conversation, "Haven't been beating up criminals," Uh oh, that sounded like a bit of a red flag. The brim of his hat cast a shadow across his face as he lowered his head ever so slightly.

There was quite a large group seated at the bar, most of which with pokemon out. Clyde wouldn't have bet that they had their pokemon out so they could have a drink too. Canines, a couple of them. A favorite of the police. Was he overreacting? The bathroom door was right in front of him now, but he couldn't help but glance back at the group.

Then, a silver, black, and red poocheyna. Guy in a long brown coat, matching fedora. Familiar...It wasn't until he was actually inside the bathroom that he realized that was the guy who shot Walpurgis. He was at the mountains on his last mission. Some detective guy. The pooch had even taken down Hades a few times. This was very troublesome.

George smiled seeing Osmond again though seeing him with such a pretty face was a surprise. He stood up and offered the lady a seat as well as Osmond before sitting back down. "Its good to see you Osmond. I am here for a relaxing drink and seeing what the night might bring. I am sure you have heard the rumors too, I don't hold much faith in them but figured I would check it out."

When Mrs. Pearls asked if he was a cop he scratched the side of his head as he thought about it. "Well I am and I am not. I do a lot of the same things as the cops here but I don't deal with their politics or rules. I am a private investigator." He smiled at her, "It is a pleasure to meet you as well"

George couldn't help but chuckle as he saw cops making their way into the bar and to his table. "Well I thought I was the only one that thought they would take a look into this but I guess not." He looked at Ed and Nyla specifically, "My name is Frost, though there are some good friends that call me George. This here is Tyr."

He gestured down to his Poochyena that was just relaxing next to him munching on a couple of treats George had gotten him. Tye looked up at the people as he heard his name and continued enjoying his meal.

Seeing Ed get up and walk over to the woman that walked into the bar drew George's attention. He immediately remembered Koorie and waved to her and gestured to the empty seats on his right.

He had seen Clyde walk into the bathroom but couldn't put his finger on who he was or where he had known him from. He knew it was going to bug him later but for now he had other things to worry about. He took a mouthful of beer, enjoying the taste of it as he drank it down. "So what do you guys think of the rumors? You believe something is going on here?" He looked over at Osmond and Nyla.

Ed raised an eyebrow at the Koorie's claim to innocence. "So, what have you been up to?" he asked. Ed's fries were slid across the bar. He grabbed one and waved it in the direction of Koorie's drink, before dunking it in his own instead and quickly eating the dunked fry. "And yeah, seems like a couple of us have bumped into each other. Why don't you come over?" Ed offered after he swallowed, picking up his drink and fries.

"Well, I had the worst vacation ever; that was a charming waste of time." Koorie stated sourly and she took another deep drink. "I'd say I've gotten a wonderful new addition to the team, but I'd be bullshitting. I captured this Areodactyl and she's a freaking terror and I haven't been able to tame her at all; already I almost lost a hand feeding her dinner tonight." And that explained the bruising and scrapes all over her, as well as the burn on her calf.

With a frown and a look of 'dont you dare' directed at Ed, she watched as his fry headed in the direction of her drink, then raised her eyebrow. With a glance back over to his table, she could already see that George was motioning her to join them as well. "Fine... I owe one of them a drink anyways."

Sliding off the seat and taking her drink in one hand, she grabbed a fry from Ed and popped it casually into her mouth before gliding over to the table with him. Nodding to Osmond and George, she offered them a ghost of a smile. "It's good to see you two in decent health."

"Ah, really?" Mrs. Pearls replied, giving a casual blink. "I didn't peg you as a freelancer type. Though you do dress your part, heh."

"Rumors?" Osmond blinked. "I haven't heard anything, to be honest . . . "

"Oh, you mean the one 'bout Rockets?" Mrs. Pearls pipped up nonchalantly, giving a small nod to the bartender for her usual spiked tea and a malt beer for her lover. Catching Osmond's intrigued and frightful eye, Cetus settled, and turned her with a quirk. "Not that I heard much, but they talk a lot about it at the precinct, y'know?"

The officer gave Nyla a sincere smile. "To drink?" he chuckled. "I have no other reason being here than to do some chatting."

Osmond gave George a one shoulder shrug. "To be honest, I really don't believe them," he admitted, after hearing a parchment of the story from Cetus. "I've been coming here a lot after work. Haven't seen a pinch of malicious activity -- ah, thank you -- since my first visit." Osmond snaked a hand over and reveled in the sweet aftertaste of his alcoholic drink. "Maybe there was a Rocket drinking in here, but other than that, I got nothin'."

Directing his attention to Koorie, Osmond winced with a painful simper. "To be honest, my back still feels like s**t since that fall. I can't bend or squat."

Mrs. Pearls bottom lip puffed out. "You should really get that looked at," she commented.

Again, Osmond gave his infamous half-shrug and took another sip of his beer.

George smiled at Mrs Pearls completely nonchalant, "There are many things people don't expect from me. The primary reason I am more of a freelancer type as you put it, is because of my tendency to use lethal force."

He nodded at Osmond, "Yea I definitely believe you there. I don't hold the rumors to be too truthful either but I wanted a drink and why not take a look at it right? I figure we could drink here a bit, chat with the owner and see if there is something going on. If not, we still got to enjoy the drinks and each others company."

He kicked back looking around the room as Koorie and Ed came up to sit down. He noticed the red curtain to section off the part of the bar. He began to wonder about where the gambling ring could be if it was here. It couldn't be that cheesy could it? I mean behind the red curtain was just a little too cliche.

He looked over at Koorie and smiled, "Yea I have recovered from the oh so fun vacation. Its nice to see you not in the hole in the ground, I know during that trip you tended to favor them." He had a big grin, "Though I can't say I was much different at the time."

George raised his glass to Ed and nodding to him before taking a large swig of beer. "So what brought you in here Koorie? Not looking for more trouble are you?" He smirked knowing he was probably getting a rise out of her.

Clyde rubbed his hands over each other under the running water. Should he get out of here now? This could all be a complete coincidence, an overdose of paranoia. It seemed unlikely that it was either. He would just keep his guard up, try to stay under the radar as much as possible.

The Rocket exited the bathroom, and calmly made his way back to the curtain. That was cliche, he thought to himself. Also pretty noticeable. The normal bar crowd were sheep, unlikely to notice anything other than their alcohol or an attractive person across the bar. He approached the curtain, placing a hand casually on the wall, swiftly poking his hand under the poster. He pushed the button with a single finger and disappeared behind the curtain.
