For the first time in her conceivable memory, Amarus was carrying a bag. Well, she had it slung over one arm, but it was still there with her, and she kept pivoting in a combat stance to prepare herself in the fight against an assailant that was actually unfamiliar cloth smacking into her calf. It was starting to get kind of irritating, but it would be so worth it.
Ever since the first time Mar had met Freya, and subsequently in basically every major fight she'd ever seen her in, Amarus had admired the ghoul's fighting spirit. And she was cute, so that certainly didn't hurt: basically, all-around a pleasant experience. If Freya was fighting, Amarus was pretty much certain that victory was assured to them. And that was the highest compliment the Lotus Eater could probably ever pay anyone.
So it was with excitement (carefully concealed internal excitement) that Amarus prepared to hang out with Freya for the first time in a normal setting. Sort of normal. Amarus had, in her bag, a package of delicious brownies [[lololol I have no idea what kind of witty term to use for this fml BROWNIES IT IS OK]] and she stood in front of a building in close proximity to the Maul: "Lasers of Doom!" Its door sported slogans such as: "Fun for everyone, so long as you can shamble, ooze or walk!" or "Say hello to my BEAM OF PAIN!"
The inside was just as tacky as it seemed; it was a laser tag facility, but pretty much everything seemed to be adorned with cute articles. After all, it was supposed to be a terrifying atmosphere? The inside of the maze was mostly in darkness, but filled with various blacklights or, in some places, pulsing pink strobes set near disco balls. Whoever decorated the place probably wasn't entirely 'with it.'
Whatever. Amarus had gotten two free passes as some kind of promotional giveaway, and she was dragging Freya there. What better environment for narcotic brownies than a free game of laser tag?
[[OOC: This RP should now have taught you two things. One: Never let me name anything. Two: ... never let me pick the location. xD ILY?

Freya was so excited that she was vibrating. She was literally making some kind of humming sound, not from her mouth, but just her general person. She couldn't stay still, and she couldn't calm down. She hadn't gone out with a friend in so long.. Kettil didn't count of course, because their outings were more romantic. Freya, who'd been used to living in a house with 8 other ghouls her entire life, was starting to feel a little stir crazy without a ghoulfriend to go places with. When Amarus gave her the chance to fix that, she leapt at it and refused to let go. Laser tag sounded so exciting, with all of the advertisements and pretty lights! It was everything she'd ever dreamed of and more - especially since she'd never dreamed of this! A high pitched squeal left her when they finally entered. "Amarus, I am so excites!" She grabbed the ghouls arm, clung to it fiercely, and bounced up and down on her heels. "I wants teh goes PEWPEWPEW aaaaaa I GOTS YEH SUCKERS like Mot does except wait we're not usings real bullets here right, okays because my outfit would not takes blood stains very well-" Rambling. Face Your Demons I think what you mean to say is I SHOULD ALWAYS LET YOU CHOOSE FOREVER

It was hard not to feel super excited, too-- the humming with excitement was seeping into the Lotus Eater. She was normally kind of reserved, but there was something contagious about Freya. It was the kind of energy that Amarus usually had to channel into the utter destruction of everything just to entertain herself, and she had this feeling that it was only going to intensify.
Amarus started to laugh as Freya grabbed hold of her arm, and she actually smiled. Not just a little, but widely. She was enjoying herself, that was for sure, and they'd only just gotten in. And the high pitched squeal didn't bother her in the least. Amarus' bells rang with every step the ghouls took, especially when Freya bounced up and down.
"I am very excited for you," Amarus agreed. She stiffened faintly, for a half pause, as Mot was inadvertantly mentioned, but ignored it and latched onto happy like it was the only emotion available to her, ever-- at that moment. "I'm sure you'd make bloodstains look good," Amarus suggested, "but no! I can't even fire a gun, that would go terribly! These are... beams! I think? A lot of lights," she finished, gently attempting to make her way to the counter.
Where a very short, surly looking imp-like demony thing in rhinestone sunglasses accepted her free passes before horking into an empty jar that may once have said tips on it, but now just had some kind of gross half-legible smudge across the side. Amarus, with a nod, slid the two free passes onto the counter.
And with that, they were invited into the mystical back room, full of glowing vests and the *spooky* lasers in their holders. Amarus was actually really excited for this. She'd never gotten to try anything like it.
In the dark back room, Amarus opened her bag as an afterthought, and took one of the brownie bits out, nibbling on it. Talking around it, she offered Freya: "Brownies? I made them," she said. After she swallowed her brownie piece, a wicked smile spread across her face.

"Achhh heeheeehee-" Freya bit her tongue as her lips parted in a wide grin. "Yeh be carefuls with such compliments, I might falls in love with yeh and then yeh'd never gets rid of me." Her lips pursed to ridiculous kissing noises, all the way until they entered the room with the guns. GUNS. YES. But.. they only shot beams of light? That was safe, at least! They were like.. .... Giant laser pointers.Freya shuddered with absolute ecstacy. Her hands were on one of the laser guns immediately, and then another. She held one in each hand, hefting them obnoxiously. "ARE WE ALLOWED TEH HOLDS TWO?" She yelled out over the music, followed immediately by pewpewpew sounds. Her lasers honed in on the brownies being offered, and she dropped the guns with a clatter and toddled over. "Yeh brought.. snacks?" Freya eyed them warily, her lip trembling. Brownies were so.. fattening.. but she knew if she said no, Amarus would be disappointed. She'd made them herself, after all! But.. chocolate.. Freya's stomach rolled in dismay. "Maybe.. just one. Don't wants teh gets sick out there.. hah.. ha.." She plucked the smallest one she could find, and shoved it in her mouth before the smell of chocolate made her nauseous. Down her throat it went, and she grinned. See? All gone!

Amarus laughed as Freya made kissing noises at her, and shook her head, bells ringing. She felt a lot more lighthearted than she usually did; it was true that she'd spent a lot of time learning how to open up, and it seemed like she was finally more ...adjusted to life at Amityville, but even with that, it was fun to be here with no obligations or drama.
So much badass in one room, and yet packaged in such pretty (and in Freya's case, ridiculous) ghouls. Amarus was watching Freya hold up two laser guns, out of the corner of her eye as she picked up her own, weighing several of them in her hand only to determine there was no combat edge to be had from being selective: they appeared to be the same.
One of the employees, a squat, green-looking boil with hair that looked like mouldy noodles to Amarus oozed into the room on squelchy bendy feet and tried to protest Freya's holding the two guns aloft and then dropping them on the floor, but Amarus gave him such a glare that it looked like she could use those silver eyes of hers to cut him down right where they stood.
Even if she had to use a plastic laser gun to do so. "We won't be requiring your assistance," she told him. "At the moment," she ammended. Well, maybe later?
The brownies, even if they were her own essence, just amplified her happy mood. As soon as the squishy thing was gone, she said: "If I knew brownies could make you sick, I could have made something else! Next time, how about you pick what I bring?" she offered, noting Freya's trembling lip. But she did manage to down one.
And that was all it would take. Amarus clapped Freya on the shoulder in solidarity. "You're a champ, valiant Freya. Ready to destroy some cute things?" Amarus asked, grabbing one of the vests with sensors and slipping it on, hoisting her laser into the air with a vicious grin. "...I'll give the rest of the brownies to the staff here."
By the time they were done, probably as an apology.

As the attendant slid over to 'assist' them, Freya picked up both guns again, and started making pewpew sounds as she pointed them at his head. She brought the butt of one gun up to her lips and blew on it, before doing the same with the second. Then she slid them both back into the invisible holsters on her sides.. and they clattered to the floor a second time. "Ach.." The brownies were brought up, and Freya's face flushed a healthy shade of pink. "Brownies don't makes me sick, I am just not good with food. I likes.. small bits. Not a lot, ja? And healthy snacks, and meat.." Her eyes unfocused and glistened. "Aaaaa, meat.." ... Twenty long seconds later, she snapped out of her reverie and picked up her guns again. "I AM SO READY. Are yeh ready for this? I am. GODS I FEEL SO JAZZED I AM READY TEH TAKES ON THE WORLD." Freya let out a warcry that would have made her ancestors weep with pride, and turned to run screaming into the dark abyss of lasertag.

If Amarus was the kind of ghoul who felt bad for others, she would have felt bad for the poor attendant who seemed like he wanted to die right there. She wasn't, so she didn't. She was wholly preoccupied with feeling bliss wash over her; she even laughed, as Freya blew on the ends of her plastic laser guns and then let them clatter to the floor.
Destruction seemed inevitable. And Amarus couldn't feel more elated for it. At least, she thought she couldn't. She nodded in reply to the glistening of Freya's eyes as she mentioned meat. Amarus supressed a queasy shudder as she remembered her first and only experience with edible meat: the cafeteria meatloaf. At least that was the day she'd met Enzo, she supposed. That was an excellent meeting.
"YES, PARTNER IN LASERS, I AM READY," Amarus exclaimed back, the normally quiet ghoul catching whatever it was Freya had. This was going to be terrible; if it was possible for two ghouls to stampede, it seemed like a stampede would be imminent. Amarus followed Freya in, howling with laughter, the sound of her bells ringing loudly.
All of her fears, inhibitions and sadnesses were washed away with the Lotus essence doubly strong in her, and she glowed like a beacon inside the darkness of the labyrinth.
Because it was just the two of them, instead of being pitted against one another, it became rapidly apparent that small, sad individuals were being paid next to nothing (or working on a volunteer/captive basis, perhaps?) to wear targets and run around in the dark.
Amarus was about to roundhouse kick the nearest one, when she stopped, her foot inches from the thing that had probably just wet itself, and then pressed the laser to its sensor and pulled the trigger. "Woops," she said, "that was close."
There were so many of them to tag! SO MANY. And there was some kind of pumping music blaring, and strobe lights, and some kind of flashing rainbow thing, and Jack it was sensory overload. Amarus mistook a mirror for another creature, reflecting her own sensors back at her, and barelled into a wall trying to tag herself. Turned out the walls weren't very solid: it tipped over, and into the wall behind it. Amarus laughed.
"It's like laser dominos!" she tried to tell Freya, as if that made any sense at all.Nio Love TWO THINGS. Both something very beautiful, and.. . taken a month to tag you back *weep* Work and Scarentines and UGH I'm a bad person haha. BUT I LOVE YOU ; A;

The energy Amarus exhuded was feeding Freya's frenzy for fun. She yelped and ran forward, barreling in and rolling before a flurry of shots left her. She really wasn't aiming, she just trigger-happy shot up the room while laughing maniacally, because that felt right. She stopped shooting when she heard a wall coming down, and watched it smack against the other. Laser dominos, huh? Freya let out a long, deep breath, and then smiled a very frightening smile. "Let's do this." Laser tag was all but forgotten as Freya started running into walls, trying to knock them over like dominos. She was mostly failing - she weighed next to nothing, and she mostly just slammed into the walls without any affect. Determination had her knocking over one, after attempting it several times, but that was all. When it fell, she started shooting lasers at it. "BURN, BABY, BURN!!!"

Amarus started laughing with such manic energy that she had to double over for a moment and stop tagging, moving or doing anything but trying to control it. It was as if someone'd messed with the air around her, and put her in a cloud of joy. Freya wasn't exactly heavy enough to push walls over easily, that was true, but she was certainly determined.
"I do love fire," Amarus agreed, idly tagging one of the target-adorned creatures scuttling by, terrified, in the dark.
All the noise had brought the squelchy employee back, and it watched from the doorway with apprehension, frantically signaling its coworkers.Nio Love O HI BACK <3 Nooo clue where I'm going with this RP hahaha *weeps* HERE IS A TINY TAG, I just got back from working all night xD

Instead of knocking down any more walls, Freya had chosen to take a different method that had her perched, after a quick hopped flight, up on the top of a wall. Both of her guns were out, and she was on the balls of her feet, crouched like an animal ready to strike, and sniping anyone or anything she saw from her unfair perch up above the walls. Cheating was like breathing to her. "AMMIE!" Freya screeched out. "BEHINDS YEH!" Face Your Demons im sorry wat, were we supposed to have an aim here other than getting kicked out, my bad
