It was a rather cold morning as Calvin woke up early. His bright chartreuse eyes were rather dim actually with fatigue. It was another restless night that it was starting to affect him ever since he had heard the rumor of wolves. He won’t lie about it though, he is worried if the wolves would ever manage to make their way over to Palisade one day or one night when everyone in the city is asleep. The thoughts were the ones that kept him up most of the time and as well as another thing as he turned over on his side to see who he was sharing a bed with. A clowder of cats all nestled up to his side for warmth from the cold. And all that the author did was glare. “Damn . . .” He cursed under his breath as he stared at all the cute dreaming little faces. He is not use to sharing a bed with a cat . . . well . . . Calvin would just leave it at that.
He got up from bed and quickly dressed himself for the day as he tied his long strawberry blonde hair with his hair ribbon while making his way down the stairs. The author wanted to get something to eat before going about his business. Sometimes he would think that perhaps he should hire some help around here but the thought would be pushed away for he dislikes the company of others so much. But the moment when he arrived to the kitchen . . . the horror that he has witness before him. Cats . . . there are cats everywhere. And they are eating all of his food! “Where the hell did you all come from?!” Calvin yelled as he quickly moves in and grabbed the cats from the counters and placed them down on the floor. But when he puts one down on the floor, two more would suddenly appear right on the spot on the counter and it infuriates the man so much. How did his humble home because a home for cats? “Yusri . . .” Of course, it had to be him. The moment that he saved him that one night, he was flooded with felines the next day and they continue to grow.
“Yusri! Where are you?” Calvin yelled out loud that frightened all the cats from the kitchen and the sounds of catastrophe was heard. Food fell to the floor as well as plates that were shattered the moment they fell to the floor too. It had stirred Iapetus from his slumber as he slept outside at the yard and he got up to take a peek inside from the window to see his Chosen, seething, and looking as though he is about to skin a certain feline. And Iapetus was happy to be outside for once for he doesn’t want to get in the way of that man as Calvin walked around his home in looking for the very man; yelling out his name.

If those weren't enough cat's... well, Yusri could only prove that there was more from where all those feasting feline's came from! sprawled out on a couch in one of the author's study's, the assassin slept. There were pillows spilling off of the probably very expensive sofa, and cushioning him all around, along with more than a dozen cats that were curled up in various crevices, or even on top of the slumbering man. And unlike their house host, everyone of them were quite peaceful... and the raging voice was barely even able to reach the room. But Yusri was a man trained to be alert, and aware of his surroundings regardless of situation... and thus was slowly lifted from dreamland. Vibrant eyes peeled open slowly, a wide yawn sneaking up on him, which a few of the felines around him caught onto as well. Carefully lifting a hand, he rubbed it over his face, clearing away some lingering sleep, before sitting himself up. Many of his furry friends started to wake up too, stretching out their limber bodies, and giving fang filled yawns too. Might as well go see what the grump was yelling about now.
Taking his sweet time, Yusri smiled affectionately to the tiny black kitten that was nestled against one of the other cats that was still resting. Gently, he pried the precious darling from the warm adult cat, and drew the ball of fluff close to him to coo sweetly to. This earned him a few tired mew's, and a weak purr, that was rewarded just as well with loving kisses to the top of the little dark head. His arms formed a cradle for the delicate creature, keeping it balled up in the crevice of his inner elbow, while his legs swung over to stand up slowly. He stretched with his other arm, and onto his tip toes, this time finishing off with a loud yawn, before casually strolling out of the room. A few cats stayed a little longer, but the majority followed after their fearless leader.
Stepping out of the room, dressed in only his usual comfy baggy pants, Yusri peered about the room, blinking lethargically as he heard the author bellowing still. He placed a hand over the head of his tiny kitten, guarding its ears, before following the voice to find his newest acquaintance, giving a bright grin, "Ah, Calvin. Good morning~ So nice to hear your loud voice so early in the morning~" he sing-songed in a mused fashion. "But you really shouldn't yell too loud. You might lose your voice~" he chimed with a wider grin to boot, gently stroking the tiny kitten who was nuzzling against his torso for more warmth, tiny tail tucking tightly around its petite body.
Outside as well, Almote was simply casually grazing, as if not even bothered by the chaos that was going on inside. Yusri could handle himself. And besides... he was hungry! He nibbled on the untamed grasses calmly, glowing eyes sliding to glance towards his fellow guardian to observe his behavior in the corner of his eye.

Calvin could feel the blood pressure rising so much from his anger. So much, that he was starting to frighten the cats around him and causing worry to Iapetus who he saw standing outside of the window. But Ia decided to ignore it for now seeing his chosen calmed down and joined Almote as he nibbled on the grass as well. He finally calmed down as he breathed deeply and slowed his pace down instead of his stomping along the wooden floors with a hand up to rub his temples. The last thing he needs is his home to be in ruins because of him.
He suddenly hear the sounds of foots steps behind him and turned around to see that it was Yusri . . . shirtless. The author tries his best to not look down at his tanned skin and focus on his face, especially that bright grin of his which made him remember why he was angry all over again. "Yes . . . good morning Yusri. I'm glad to see that you have slept so lovely." He said, poisoned with sarcasm in his words and finally glancing down to see what was it that the assassin was petting something that was tucked in his arm. It was a tiny little kitten wanting warmth from the cold and he sighed again, feeling slightly bad that he might have woke up the poor tiny kitten.
The author walked up closer to him and gently pet the kitten as well just to show no harm to it. "Well, the reason for my loud yelling is that your little friends happen to devour all of the food." His sharp chartreuse eyes gazed into Yusri's vibrant orbs. "So there's no food to eat here at all and so I have to go to the market. And you're coming with me too." Might as well for it's his fault to bring his furry little friends with him to his home. A lot of the food has been contaminated and so Calvin will be needing some extra help to carry it back home.

A yawn made Yusri's mouth open wide, and stay that way for awhile, before exhaling tiredly, eyes blinking a little groggily even as Calvin expressed his clear... distress. He watched the other man with that lopsided grin, and somewhat dazed look, head even canting slightly as if trying to figure out just what exactly was bothering him so much.
Oh... right. His cats. Chuckling deeply in his chest, the assassin shifted his weight, and lightly rubbed his finger tips along the small of the little kitten's arched back, "Ah yes, my apologies~ I suppose I forgot to teach them some house manners." he mused, a few of the cats from the room he'd been sleeping in stepping out to stretch, and rub up against his legs, as well as Calvin's. The tiny kitten slightly turned its head towards the opposing man as attention was turned towards it, purring quietly to show appreciation. Now Yusri was not a man who took orders all too well, nor did he appreciate being told what to do... but he did need to go to town himself, and instead decided to agree on the basis that he was going to be going the same way anyway, "Hm. Well yes I will be going, but not from your instruction, Mr. Writer~" he teased, with a sly grin, casually strolling past the other man, to head for the large stairs, "I needed to head that way anywho. And I guess I can keep you company at the same time~" he hummed, glancing over his shoulder with an ever increasing look of mischief. His small platoon of cats followed him up the stairs as he headed off to get dressed, simply pulling on his usual garb of his large hood, and stepping into his softer slippers. Knives were hidden discretely under his large baggy pants, as per usual, the small kitten finding its place under the heavy folds of the massive hood, right atop Yusri's shoulder.
Once he was ready, rubbing his face a few times, he casually returned, a few of his feline companions trailing to him like bee's to pollen once they were finished with the kitchen. With a sort of bird call, but not quite, the rest followed, and soon his entire pack was all around his feet. "Alright. I think we're ready to go~"

Hearing that chuckle doesn’t help him much with his situation and neither did that apology of his since it won’t make the food magically appear again. Honestly . . . but damn this man though, he walks around his home without a care in the world much like the felines around them and the adorable little kitten that grew very fond of his petting which did made the author smile a little. Calvin has to admit they’re adorable . . . sadly. His bright chartreuse eyes glanced up to see the assassin as he spoke of that he will be going to the market but not because of him. It caused the man to arch his brow up in curiosity of what sort of plans he has in mind of doing in the market. He was very curious that his gaze never left from him, watching Yusri walked towards to the stairs as the man merely smirked. “Fine then, I will be waiting for you down here when you are ready.” That’s all he said as he watched him vanish to the second floor.
Calvin waited for a little while before deciding to venture off into the kitchen once again to at least find something that is edible, not cover in fur, or have any of those tiny bite marks on it. Luckily, there was a bright red apple among the fruits that haven’t been touched which he snatched quickly before any of the cats have the chance. He took a couple of bites of the juicy fruit just until he reached almost to the core and heard the footsteps echoing in his home from above. The apple core was tossed into the garbage and walked back to the front where he met Yusri in time as well as the rest of his feline squadron too. “They all can’t be coming along? Are they?” It’s probably a stupid question to ask though since they always go wherever he’s going and sighed softly. He just hoped that any of the socialites doesn’t see this.
He walked up to the front door and opened it for Yusri to walk first as well as any other of his cute companions wanted to come along. Iapetus is already waiting up in front as well as Aden, the tiny red fairy wren who is sitting up high at the buck’s horns to be far away from the cats. Calvin felt terrible for the bird for he is living in fear that he might become someone’s meal. “So tell me Yusri, what sort of plans you have at the market exactly?” He questioned, bringing a hand up to comb his fingers through his long strawberry blonde locks to one side as he looked down at the man. “Or is it strictly business and confidential?”

A chuckle rose from the assassin from such a trivial question. Would they all come with them? "But of course, Calvin~ you certainly wouldn't want them all to stay here by themselves, now would you?" he cooed playfully, glancing over to the other man as he casually strolled out the door past him. Once outside, his arms stretched up, keeping mindful of the tiny kitten roosting on his shoulder, who simply snuggled closer to his neck. Giving the sweet darling a few strokes once his arms lowered back down, Yusri looked back to wait for Calvin, as the rest of his cats came padding out the home. " ah, ah, ah my dear Calvin. I cannot tell you of such things, for it is most certainly for the case of business." backtracking, he sauntered to the other man, the cats around their feet easily avoided or moving out of the way naturally. "And it would be such a shame to spill that pretty blood of yours~ as much fun as I'm sure it would be, I do so enjoy your company when you're alive~" he crooned, leaning close to the taller man to give a small kiss to his chin.
Almote watched the pair of humans with amusement, though you wouldn't be able to see it on his face. But Yusri was getting a good amount of it in his mind from the wry buck. Grinning, the foreign man gently took the writer's hands and pulled himself right up against him, his head canting, exposing the resting kitten some, who remained in a restful state. His voice kept soft, low, as he flirted shamelessly in the safety of the secluded property, "and, I plan to see how you handle yourself in the public arena~ I feel that it will be a show very worth while." lacing his fingers with the larger ones, he gave the big hands a squeeze, before a small nuzzle was given to Calvin's jaw, pulling away fluidly to turn on his heel's and start for the path to the road that would eventually lead them to town. His cats all trotted after, Almote following suit. Though the buck gave a glance to his fellow kinsman, as if making sure he was coming along too, a playful glint similar to his Chosen's flickering in his eyes.

Dear god . . . the thought of the cats still at his home. He will be afraid to leave them there and returning home to see everything a complete massacre. It made him shiver just on the very image that’s painted in his mind. But that is quickly changed, examining the man’s graceful sauntering towards him from his body up to his brightly hued eyes as he looked in slight disdain. It irks the man terribly that his life is now in the man’s hand to do as he pleases as he is just remembered about it of how ‘fun’ Yusri could have. “Well, I am glad that you do enjoy my company rather than the company of my cold corpse.” He said with a pleasant smile on his face, his voice thick in sarcasm as his slender brow twitched slightly from the kiss on his chin. How . . . kind, but he kept his gaze on the man who is standing by his side.
Suddenly, his hands were grabbed as Yusri pulled himself up to him as the action surprised the author to be such a flirtatious manner. It did, however, made the man smirked softly in hearing that the assassin would be enjoying watching him which didn’t surprised him at all. The smirk grew into a smile from the soft nuzzle against his jaw and watched him leaving; walking away to the direction at the market. But Calvin won’t let him slip away like that as his bright chartreuse eyes stared at the lithe figure and quickly stepped up to him. An arm slinked its way around his waist to pull the assassin to rest against his chest as he leaned his head down to whisper to his ear; the other side of the slumbering kitten for he doesn’t want to disturbed the cute little darling. “It had better be in the shadows dear Yusri where I do hope you’ll stay . . . no matter what.” He teased, chuckling under his breath as he gave a small n** of his tanned cheek before he slipped his arm away and stepped around him as well as the other felines too as he straighten out his coat before leaving the property.
Iapetus was standing off to one side in staring at the two the entire time, seeing how close his chosen has become with this new arrival. It was . . . odd to see Calvin like this and honestly he doesn’t want to see more of this. It was too much to comprehend his hermit of a chosen becoming lively. His gaze turned to see Almote who sport the same glint in his glowing eyes which is the same as of Yusri. His ears pricked up and became suddenly nervous. However, he couldn’t leave Calvin alone and followed behind . . . a little far behind of him.
Upon the market place, he saw how bustling everyone has become now and business has progressed from left to right. Iapetus was strapped on with saddle bags to help carry the purchased goods while the strawberry blonde haired male looked around with the thought of Yusri on the back of his mind. He wondered where the feline has scamper off to but now he couldn’t be bothered with him as a lovely young woman with bright blue eyes and chestnut brown hair has set her eyes on the author with a charming smile on her face. Calvin smiled in response to her as he took a closer examination of the fresh loaves of bread that are in display. “Good day miss, and what are you selling as of today?” The author’s smile was bright, warm, and comforting to the eye that certainly made the young woman hide her bashful smile in seeing her new customer. “Good day . . . w-well . . . my father has baked fresh bread early in the morning today . . . if . . . if you are interested.” Her words trailed off to silence in sheepishness which made Calvin chuckled at her response while picking up one of the crusty loaves of bread. “I can tell they must be exceptionally well and delicious.” He continued with the small talk, even after the purchase of bread, for he wanted to enjoy it the time conversing with others before sealing himself away in his study later on.

In town, Yusri let his sharp eyes trail about, and take in all the sights that were to be seen. My such a busy day today... and somehow his cats were able to avoid being stepped on, either moving out the way, or others making way for them! Almote sniffed at some passing by people, who in turn gave him astonished expressions, or ones of displeasure, their noses wrinkling up, and lips pulling into a scowl. But the buck only seemed amused by this. Especially when he'd nose at a lady with one of those large silly hats with too many accessories than it could hold!
His crimson gaze darted over to watch Ia and Calvin go on about their destined route for what they needed, while he moved elsewhere to scope out the place, and meet with a few useful sources. Even here there was an underworld that was kept out of sight and out of the public's ear. He sauntered about casually, petting the kitten on his shoulder, wearing a wide grin on his tanned face, his jewelry giving soft chimes from time to time. A sparing smile would be given to the young children that worked on the streets with selling papers, or flowers, or produce for their parents. Even those that would try and bring in customers by shouting about what was for sale at a little stall nearby! How precious~ ah, but he stopped near a spot where some men were gathered to do some gambling on the corner of a street and alleyway. They were all hunched over some barrels, placing down cards, tossing die, and putting down other sorts of currency and bets. Looming over one of the mens shoulders, Yusri simply listened in on their mumblings and cursings. Some of it was in code, while others were quite blatantly open of what they were getting across. Eventually, a small scrap of paper was passed onto Yusri, to which he casually stuffed into a pocket, and took his leave.
Deciding to find Calvin again, he didn't have too hard a time, already knowing what the fella was after. And the food sections were all near one another. Some of the cats snuck a few nibbles here and there without anyone noticing, keeping stealthy just like their owner.. even Almote nabbed himself a few grapes from someone's basket that they passed by. Spotting Calvin, his grin grew, as he strolled up behind him, eyeing the female he was conversing with .His eyes narrowed at her, watching her with a rather intense gaze... to which Almote mimicked him.

Calvin was having a rather nice time as he talked with the young woman. He couldn’t help but to socialize with the people despite the obvious social class. She was friendly and kind and he gained another loaf of bread for free from it which was very kind of her. For that moment, he did forgot about his . . . companion who must be lurking around in the market somewhere for the author does hope that Yusri is behaving himself or at least the best that he can do. God only knows what that feline is planning on doing with whatever business he said he has to do and would like to leave it at that for he doesn’t want to know.
He didn’t even notice that the very man was standing behind him. Ia has, for he has developed a heighten sense whenever Almote is nearby. The odd buck was someone that he doesn’t know how to handle well at all and quite possibly never as he moved a little away from him. The author glanced over to see his guardian moving for a brief second and looked back to see the young woman who looked terribly frightful of something. “Are you all right Miss?” Calvin asked, but the young woman said nothing at all. In fact, she looks absolutely pale. “I . . . I ha-have to . . .” And just like that after a few mumbled words, she ran away from her table to the back as she shrieked loudly and leaving the author highly confused on what happen. “What the devil is wrong with her . . .” But when he turned around with the loaf of bread at hand, it all made sense now.
His bright chartreuse eyes glanced down to meet those bright rubies which was the cause to scare the girl away. “Yusri!” He exclaimed as he moved over to practically dump the bread in Ia’s saddle basket before looking over to the assassin. “What on earth are you doing?” But he didn’t wait for his answer as the author seized his wrist and dragged him away from the table to move somewhere in the busy market just in case if the young woman might call for someone for help. They both then stopped right in front of the butcher table and glared at the man with anger at the feline. “Are you sneaking around me and watching my every move? Is that your plans for today?” He assumed that was the case seeing how he frighten the girl away as he continue to shop for food.
