It was time. Time for a change. Something within him was calling for travel. He looked over to his sleeping mate next to him, her body soft and warm as she dreamed. He nuzzled closer and blew out a happy sigh, it was wonderful to be with the one you loved. He didn't need to worry about whether Star loved him just as much as he did or jealousy or fears of her being unhappy with him because their constant traveling. He was jolted out of his thoughts but the voice of his mate.
" I can hear you thinking," Starga'e mumbled with closed eyes and huddled closer enjoying the warmth of her mates body. " What's wrong?" "Oh sorry Star," He smiled down at her sleepy inquisitive expression. "Just... something is pushing me to get up and go." He watched her yawn and shuffle her body move. "It's like this gut feeling to move towards water. I find...myself wanting more you know? A pride...a place of friends and where we can settle down." He noticed a flash of emotion cross her face at the mention of 'pride'.Starga'e moved around so facing Lan'tis was easier as he was such a tall male. "A... pride?" A jumble of emotions hit her at once. To be among a unit again... to live, breath and work for a common goal of happiness as well as growth. She knew Lan'tis wanted the same as ironically he had come from the same pride as her but he had left months before she was adult and in turn never had met him til the rogue lands. "I...would have to agree with you there Lan. I think it is time for a change as well. The rogue lands are not for us, on that I would agree." She could tell her words pleased him. Silly male, he need not doubt my loyality to him no matter where life takes us. "Then let us make our journey now!" Lan'tis spoke with enthusiasm. "Gather what belongs you have and I shall do the same!"

 Wake up.
It had been a demand, not a request.
That which had plagued him in his sleep pressed upon him the importance of opening his eyes. It was the one and only time in which an individual such as he was 'obedient' and thus, the lion opened his eyes. One at first, then the other, before gazing upwards towards the starlit sky. It was unusual for him to be interrupted during such times, but the lion deemed it unwise to question what he had identified as a voice of wisdom and when he was sufficiently 'awake' he rose to his paws.
He had been asleep on a rocky outcropping, one that overlooked the ocean and gave him the peace and quiet he had come to love. This evening would have been no exception had it not been for the warning call within his mind...
Visitors. They had been passing through in drips and drabs as of late and rather than have them disrespect the ocean he had often been nudged to offer them greetings in advance. Apparently he was to receive more and with a small sigh he proceeded down the outcropping, noting the high tide and the possibility that he might have to swim in certain parts if it was too deep.
There was no indication that there were others nearby and he could only assume they were near the borders...for this reason, it was sensible that he chose to head in that direction!

They had been keeping good pace for most of the morning only stopping now and then for breaks as well as food. Lan'tis could smell it now. There was a scent of fish in the air that usually came when one was around water. They were close. He dodged a branch and looked behind to make sure Star was keeping up with him. "It seems we were headed in the right direction afterall." Starga'e was enjoying herself, it was pleasant to walk in weather that was perfect and the scenery was lovely to look at as well. She hummed a tune every now and then knowing Lan loved her soft voice as he had often told her that it had calmed him. " You think so?" She spoke once she was head to shoulder with her tall mate. "This place called to you?" She eyed the sand and interesting trees that were ahead. Cyan eyes narrowed. "Indeed," He felt himself relaxing as faint sounds of the water hit the land. "It would appear this is the place. Maybe if we are lucky enough we could run into a local?" He nudged Star's head with a rumble and a n** of her ear. "In fact I wonder if there is anyone here at all. It is so quiet and peaceful." He pawed at the ground enjoying the feel between his fur once again. It had been a long time since his paws had touch sand.

He wasn't usually one to lie in wait, but as he had travelled a much shorter distance than they had, it had given him the opportunity to find a vantage point and relax. He had been rewarded for his patience soon enough, as the pair of lions passed through the unseen borders and wandered further into Bahari lands. He could see their lips moving in the dim light, yet at that distance he had been unable to discern their topic of conversation... or he hadn't until he'd caught the tail end of it and the rhetorical question it finished with.
"There is life in everything, just because we not always be heard or seen does not mean we are figments of imagination," he pointed out gently, his head tilting to the side as he regarded the approaching pair. They seemed to lack any hint of threatening behaviour and more importantly, one of them seemed like she was incapable of lifting a paw to begin with.
"Suffice to say," Euphrates pulled himself to his paws again and snaked down from his perch, striding towards the pair with ease. "We are a pride who prefer the simple things in life. Peace and quiet tend to come in paw with such a desire," he concluded. He then drew to a halt, his rugged and curled fur apparent in the low light and short distance between the pair. Alas, their smooth fur would soon find itself a touch 'warped' if they settled here!
He was silent for a time and then, as he observed the pair, he lifted a brow at the sight of Starga'e's adornments.
"A neighbour," he observed thoughtfully. "Not many of your pride have explored these lands," he murmured.

Star knew they weren't alone the moment a rusling of earth and white eyes narrowed with caution when an unknown blue male appeared before them. She maybe small but she certainly knew how to defend herself as well as her mate. She was a warrior at heart and observer preferring to sit back to allow her husband to speak for the both of them. "Very true," He nodded in agreement to the words of wisdom. Lantis watched the other move with grace as he moved towards them. He didn't move nor did Starga'e as sometimes pride members disliked have unknowns in their lands. One had to be careful."Yes," Star eyed him as he had done to her. "I have never been here before as I never really ventured out of dawnwalker lands. I heard few words in passing of this place which is a shame as it is so lovely." Thinking of it now if the dawnwalkers had reached out to their neighbours their home would not have been so lost to them. "My mate was also apart of my pride but had shed his jewelry long when he had left." She flickered her tail to swat at a passing bug. "Have we trespass-" He interrupted his mate and ignored her ticked off expression as well as sigh of amused exasperation, "What do you call this place and how does one join?" This place felt right to him. He curiously looked at the males features and noted the curliness as well as fluffiness. He tried to picture himself in such a way and had to fight down a smile. His scowly mug with poofy hair. Some were cut out for certain looks and some were not.

"That would depend on your definition of trespassing," Euphrates replied in a mild tone, his expression softening as he regarded the cautious female. He wasn't one to pry, but she seemed to be the more cautious and wary of the pair. He was not about to chastise her for her decision either as it was always a good thing to temper adventure with some form of caution. "In a literal sense, yes," he mused and then shook his head. "If you were to define it as my pride does though, then no," he concluded. He had of course elected to answer the lioness's question so as not to exclude her, even though her mate clearly wished to lead the conversation.
"As to where you are," he finally cast his gaze towards Lantis and tilted his head to the side. "You are on the Bahari'mtoto's lands," he replied and smiled. "We are the lions of the sea, for want of a better explanation," he continued. He refrained from discussing the inner workings of the pride or the other prides that existed nearby. While they may have lived by the ocean, they were not of the ocean.
...There was a difference.
"Joining though," he furrowed his brow and regarded Lantis with a touch of suspicion. "You know nothing of our home and yet you wish to join us." he stated softly.
"Why?"

She eyed Lantis with a look of reproach and wanted to laugh- Ever the alpha- before looking at the Bahari male to listen. "I see and yes I meant your pride rules." She nudged Lantis into walking closer. She maybe small but she knew how to handle her mate. Lan'tis backpettled not wanting to anger a local, "Well, I wish--" Starga'e nudged him again. "-we wish to live among your home and get to know your members as well. As to why...this may sound silly, but I am going to say it anyways. There was this feeling or calling to be around water, it has been sometime since I have lived near the element. When i was younger there was this connection and then... then as I grew I was forced to move with my family into the dawnwalker lands. I wish for that connection once more." He sat ridgedly by habit when dealing with confrontation, it was his upbringing. Militaristic almost.
Star took over answering, "There is also the prospect of being with a pride again and learning new ways of living. A pride has a better chance of survival than one or two on their own." She sensed nothing evil about this lion infront of them, it seemed he generally cared for his home and was protective of it. "I am Starga'e and this is Lan'tis." Feeling comfortable enough to give their names, it wouldn't do to keep such information from the ones they wish to join. Star knew sometimes in order to get information when had to give information first. "We were finding the rogue lands to be tiresome..."

Again?
The manner in which Star spoke indicated that something had happened to one of their neighbours. What had happened remained to be seen, but he filed the information away for later use. He knew that their new leader, or not so new by now, would want to investigate the disappearance of the lions in question, if only because it may indicate an impending threat.
"I see," he replied and he appeared to be satisfied with Star's answer even. However Lantis' did give him pause for thought, it might have been momentary but it wasn't often that creatures were "called" to the Bahari. Is this why he had been nudged awake, was he to welcome someone the ocean recognised as a child?
It was a possibility, the transient and ever changing waters held affection for some.
"Well, if you are set upon staying in these lands on a more permanent basis you would need to speak with our leader, if only to discuss your intentions," he murmured. He refrained from mentioning the rites at this time, it would be something they could pursue when they were read. "He isn't hostile to new blood if their intentions are good," he smiled at this and glanced over his shoulder, motioning with a half nod.
"The shore is just ahead, but if you wish to speak with our leader then you will find him on the cliffs overlooking the pride, I wouldn't be surprised if he saw you coming himself."

Hmmm, Lan'tis thought to himself. It seems like joining is somewhat the same for most prides. Meet leader equals acceptance or denial. He held his paw out for a shake of gratitude, "I hold my hand to you as an offer of friendship as well as thanks for the information you have provided." He had done this numerous times and others had either reacted with distaste, uncertain, or amusement. He wondered how the other would react."Intentions?" Starga'e raised an eyebrow at the word, it seemed normal to want to get to know a stranger but... "We have none other than to settle down and simply live. But as you say that is a talk for another time as we have some cliffs to climb." Come along Lan'tis~ It was nice to meet you..." She ended awkwardly still unsure of what to call other male. "-good bye for now." Epine de Rose You know DW was disbanded right? XD; I just want to make sure <3

Tara de Draiocht Yup, but on an IC level no one knows that in the Bahari. xD Euphrates was not accustomed to Lan'tis's greeting, but ever adaptable he lifted his paw and gave the lion's a shake. He could work some things out, especially when they were as simple as this one. Still, he didn't linger for long and soon set his paw down again, casting his gaze towards Starga'e for a brief moment - perhaps she was overly cautious or had misunderstood him... it hadn't been his intention to cause uncertainty.
"If they are your intentions then you need only state them, it is just that some visitors have other reasons for exploring these parts," he clarified and then shook his head. "If you need reference, just say that Euphrates sent you. Though by now Ram really should be getting used to visitors," he murmured, a small chuckle escaping from his lips.
"Travel safely and if it helps any, there's a battered trail that leads up the cliff, it's steep but safe..." he concluded and with that, turned on his paws and proceeded to pad across the boulders. He had time to reach his previous perch before dawn and in that time, he also hoped to catch a little more sleep!
