Say whatever. Do whatever. Free to speak stuff. For instance, I learned how to do that handcuff thing cops do. You know, where the cuffs are closed, and they snap the cuff onto your wrist? I've learned how to do that. It's extremely difficult and painful with these cheap ones, but I'm sure real handcuffs wouldn't be as hard.

Damn. Someone is busy.

I always thought they were slapped against the perp's wrists, and the locking mechanism and the cuff itself is pushed through the locks, around his wrist, and then locked in place again. Is it something else? Because it certainly looks cool.

I recently learned that "all mountains needs hugs."

Naw, that is how it happens. I just learned that you need enough force for just the first level to lock into place, and where to slap the thing on. I also learned that slapping it in the wrong area causes it to go around, then pinch a nice fold of shin between the locking mechanism and the cuff.

Ah. Nice. And that sounds horribly painful. But it would be funny to see a guy's reaction as he's being arrested, and it just pinches the s**t out of him.

I submitted yet another map to the SRB2 Official Level Design Contest. If any of you are familiar with the game, I'd encourage you to give the maps a try and possibly even vote.

Hey, um, I'm having a bit of Writer's/Artist's Block. Anyone know how to cure that?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 02, 2013 7:43 pm

Sadly, I don't. I get it quite often as well. It just takes a while to get past it and find more inspiration. Sorry I can't help. Try walking away from whatever you are writing for a period of time, a few hours or even days, then go back. New ideas should form.

Draw three circles. Erase one half of each circle. Draw thee lines coming out of the ends of the circles. form that into something. Make up a reason for its existence. Then try to connect it to whatever you're doing. Did you do all of those things?

Ok thanks.

Huh. Never heard of that one. Interesting.

Actually, that doesn't help anything... Or, at least i think it doesn't. I was just telling her to do stuff.

Ah. Well then. You never know, it may help? Doubt it, but there are stranger things.

When I write, I usually work backwards. From the end to the beginning. Because sometimes I make a beginning that is too far away from the end, or too difficult to mold into a final product. So I work backwards until I find a good place to start the story. Then I go back and add in details.

I work out with a beginning and an end first. Those are the only things that people will strongly remember, so if I do end up flawing anything, it's one of the middle parts nobody cares about.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 04, 2013 3:30 am

Eh. Not always. I've read some books in which the middle segments were far more memorable than the beginning. Like Halo: Fall of Reach. Remember the middle and ending perfectly, don't remember how it starts. I think it starts with the recruitment of John. Maybe. Meh. Imma reread it anyway.

Well... That certainly didn't help... But, uh... Thanks, Draid... and you too, Justin... -Sigh-

I write stories by first planning out all the main events, then writing in all the details.
