Remember I told you guys about Katelin, and how I'd never gotten pictures of her or anything? Well I just got off the phone with the adoption facilitator I'm working with for Ryan, and her boss had called the other agency today, and they're putting a package of pictures and letters in the mail tomorrow! The agency from last time said they didn't have my permanent address, that's why I hadn't gotten anything....so I'll actually have pictures of my daughter soon. heart

I am sure if you speak with the adoption facilitators again, they may be able to try to contact the parents back to request something a little more about your daughter.
Are you not meant to get annual information about your child and letters? That is the case in the UK, but I don't want to presume.
She is gorgeous by the way, beautiful eyes.
Hope you are feeling ok, can understand if this is all be a bit overwhelming. Again, you will always find support here if you need it *hugs* and lots of hugs too.

It's not required in Oklahoma, even in the case of an open adoption. sad

Wow, adoption in the UK is way different then adoptions in the States.
It's nice they sent the pictures, even if they are old. I suppose it must be hard for them too. I hope they'll be a bit kinder when you contact them about her brother and let them know that he exists. And maybe they'll send a newer photo.

yup, one of the things they even stress in court is the fact that the adoptive parents are not required to send pictures or letters. Although some agencies do require it, such as the one I went through this time: Quote: Ongoing correspondence is definitely an option for you as a birth mother. We require that the adoptive family be open to sending pictures and letters at least once a year until the baby reaches the age of eighteen (1 cool . You are also able to send the adoptive family letters and pictures. The exchange of letters, pictures and gifts is through our agency. This maintains the confidentiality of the adoptive parents' last name and address.
