Artemis had escaped, and she felt great. After her trainer has rather grudgingly let her out, the Areodactyl made a beeline for the mountains and had no intentions of coming back.... well, maybe she might, but really, she needed to hunt. Her mouth salivated a little at the thought of a fresh caught bunneary, its meat tender and warm: juicy. It was enough to send one down the blissful memories of previous kills.

With a mighty, piercing cry, she drifted over the treetops, eyes scanning for her meal.

User ImageVolviing roared as he flew out of the Motterosa gym. He would not bow to the humans who tried to enslave him. He shot a jet of fire as he flew towards the Rinaul mountains, it was frustrating being so close to his home and yet the annoying creatures wanted him to stay in their tiny little city. The Aerodactly snorted at the though, He would show them that they could not keep him couped up even if he had to burn the gym to the ground to prove it.

His head jerked as he heard a familiar sounding cry. Tittling his right wing down, he glided towards the forest. He roared a response to the other cry before diving and snatching up a deerling the deer Pokemon squirmed in his talons. It took only a few flaps of his powerful wings before he was above the trees again searching for the source of the sound he had heard.

The familiar cry reached her ears and Artemis lifted her head from her hunting. She knew that pokemon. Silently, she took higher to the sky, her wings beating in deadly silence. Truly, she was built to be the perfect predator, however her pray had changed this time and now she was scouting the air below her for her next attack.

As soon as she saw Volviing, she gave one final flap before tucking her wings in and diving right down at him. At the last minute she gave another cry, spread her wings, and attacked him with talons spread.

Volviing waited for her to get close before he threw the deerling at her outstretched talons. He was sure that the female would instinctively grab the food even if she was attacking. He folded his wings and dropped like a rock before snapping them open again and beat them a few time before gliding up closer to Artemis.

The male opened his mouth and let out a jet of fire at her, it wasn't a true attack more like a greeting. The fire would warm her skin but it was weak enough that it wouldn't burn or cause any damage.

Artemis, as predicted, grabbed to the meal instead of her fellow Areodactyl. With a vicious rip, she tore into the meat, savoring the fresh taste. She snorted, smoke coming out of her nostrils as the warmth of the flames reached her skin. Taking one last bite, she tossed the remaining carcass to the male, then shot a returned fire jet at him followed with her shouldering herself into him mid-air.

Volviing caught the deerling's carcass as the female returned his greeting. He took a large chunk out of the remains of the deer before the other shouldered him. The male nuzzled her shoulder before finishing of the deerling. He growled softy asking her if she wanted to hunt more food or if she was full from the meal they had shared.

Artemis responded with another growl of her own, indicating that she was full and wouldn't require more hunting. It wasn't like her trainer was starving her and she had to admit the woman was alright; she was respectful. Still, the raw, pre-killed meats was nothing like the succulent, tender meat she could get while hunting.

With a snort, she nuzzled his shoulder back, then bit it to make sure he knew she was angry with him. She hadn't known what had happened after the initial attack on the group that had invaded their mountain home and scared away all the pray in their hunting ground. The humans had turned at attacked back and she had been captured.

He made a soft growl whine, apologizing to her. He had tried to help her fight of the humans but was also caught by the trainers who had invaded there mountains. His tail twitched a bit, not enough to interfere in his flight. He was frustrated with himself. He had failed to protect her and their home.

He honestly didn't know much about the human that had captured him. From what he had seen before he started his rampages there was plenty of food for the others. It would seem that she would feed him as well if she could release him from that monstrous contraption with out him destorying everything. He snorted at that thought, he could feed himself.

With another rumbling growl, she accepted his apology; he wasn't the only one that had failed that day. Now, instead of free open-sky, she had a cramped little townhouse and a pokeball. Not exactly an equal exchange.

In reality, it wouldn't be to bad if the human just let her do as she pleased; hunt in the park for the small fat pokemon that played there, soar high in the skies and rule the open area, stay with her mate.

Perhaps if he ever calmed down enough to not destroy the building that his trainer resided in, he would find that it wasn’t that terrible either, although there wasn’t much room for him to move around in other than the main stadium, the roof would be an excellent spot to sunbath. Plus he could still see the mountain, it was close enough for him to fly their and back easily.

But Volviing was not one to let bygones be bygones, so it would be quite a while before he stopped his rampaging in the gym. The aerodactyl nuzzled his mate before shifting slightly as they flew and glided over to part of the cliff where he landed on the mountain. He was glad that she forgave him.
