Today was his day. Today he was going to climb his first tree! The tree that he had played by so many years was going to go down. He had tried many time before, failing every time, either him falling to the ground or his mother stopping him before he had a chance to even grabbed a branch.
But this was a new year and with a new year came new things! So he had begged his mother to stop worrying and final she gave in. So this was his chance. He was going to climb this tree and show that he could overcome anything if he put his mind to it. It was a test to see if he could become a better superhero and great practice for upper strength, which he needed in battles against the bad guys.
He looked back to his mother and gave a big smile and thumbs up. He was going to do in front her. She was going to watch him accomplish a big goal of his and this was just going to be great, all of it!
He looked to the treed and gently but steadily place both of his feet sturdily on the ground. He grabbed a hold of the tree with his right hand and placed his left hand on the closest branch. He quickly pushed himself up and grabbed a hold of the tree using his whole body. There! He had done it. He had taken the first steps of climbing a tree and it was totally awesome, now all he had to do was keep it up and he would make it in no time.
He grabbed another branch and placed his left foot on the branch he grabbed before then. He use upper body strength and pushed himself up and moved up towards the other branch. He kept doing this until he made it half way up the tree. He was doing it! Actually doing it and it was loads of fun. He could see why people enjoyed climbing trees because not only was it fun and helped with upper body strength it had an awesome view. He looked down and out to see his mother who was glued to the window and smiled. She worried too much and Winston knew that. He gave her a small smile and continued his way up the tree. It took sometime but finally he was there. In the middle of all the branches but he was there! He threw up his hands and let out a proud, “Yehaw!” I finally did it! I climbed a tree! The tree that I’ve always wanted to climb!”
He was excited. He had accomplished one of his goals! He was getting closer and closer to becoming the real superhero that he sought to be. Even though he was a senshi, it didn’t mean that he was a real superhero. He had a set of rules follow and when he master those then he could finally say that he was a real superhero and a grand man.
After awhile of looking out and playing in the tree, he knew it was time to come down. It took him sometime he just as he got up there he was able to get down. He smiled and ran to his worried mother and gave her a big hugged. He looked up to her with the biggest smile, knowing that he was growing up to be a super awesome superhero.
