Shang was rather happy to have the night off from training, even if he still had to patrol. It was taking some getting use to, getting back into the swing of things now that he was spending his days and nights at the hospital again. He was back in the E.R. dealing with kids with crazy stories that he now knew many were actual fact.
Sighing he ran his hand down his face feeling a bit fatigued despite having rested in the day. Things just seemed to piling up and he was beginning to think he needed to cut the extra night time activities short. It wasn't as if he ran into much troube. Frankly the most trouble he recieved was from his own sister and the occasional youma, but they were to difficult to deal with in most situations.
"I have to many duties and not enough time," she mumbled aloud to himself, "this is a problem that needs to be fixed." He straightened his vest and continued, trying to work out a more workable schedule for himself and feeling as though he was simply going in circles.

The General was on a roll. Sure, not an entirely successful roll, but she was getting bolder. She was getting stronger. She was building a reputation.
Everyone would fear her, or at least the idea of her.
She knew her power was being wasted. Why be given such incredible strength and not use it? No, she would show the city, every Senshi and do gooder, as well as some of her own kind, just what it meant to be powerful, and how to use that to accomplish their goals. She meant to control, through fear and strength.
She felt an aura nearby and she looked around, grinning. It felt like a knight. Her favorite kind of starseed. She moved toward it, not calling her weapon yet. She teleported when she saw him, appearing in front of him and smiling less than pleasantly.
"Out for a little walkie poo?"

Shang hadn't been really paying attention to energy signature, but it was a bit harder when the party in question possessed the ability to teleport. A tidbit that, after jumping in fright and stumbling to catch himself, Shang noted was rather unfair. He very much disliked the odd advantage the woman possessed.
He rolled his eyes at her, "I'm not 3, I don't take walkie poos. Really who speaks to another adult in such a manner." The irritation was thick in his voice, not for the comment, so much as the fright, but it was there.
Shang looked at the woman, blinking at her in slightly confusion before speaking without thinking, "You look like a knight. You don't feel like one obviously, but you look like a knight sort of like me."
Her colors were different, darker, and she lacked the symbols most knights possessed, but Shang couldn't help but think that she very much resembled a knight. He'd never met a negaverser before and so he had no idea what any of them looked like. It was very intriguing, something he was momentarily fancinated by.

Painite almost preened as he looked her over, posing a bit for him to take it all in. She was not shy, that much was clear, and she held herself with all the confidence of a woman without a worry in the world. She had accepted a long time ago that her looks, while not perfect, were as good as they were going to get and she loved herself.
And her outfit was pretty awesome, though it wasn't her own design.
She grinned and waved her hand dismissively.
"Sorry. You feel like a baby, your little power level is so low. I thought I might come out to say hello and make sure you weren't getting into any trouble. But you should know." Her expression grew darker, much more serious and she snarled a bit when she spoke. "I am nothing close to a knight."
Because she hated them.

Shang hardly noticed the posing or the air of confidence Painite exuded and he hardly cared either, he was simply noting that she looked a lot like him in dress and that was really it.
He nodded at the apology, but blanched at the very rude words that followed it. It didn't take note of the tone or the snarl when she spoke about being nothing like a knight. Really social cues, or really any cues from anyone he barely knew weren't exactly on Shangri-La's radar. He could be a bit, or a lot dense.
He frowned crosses his arms over his chest, "I was just making an observation. You're obviously not a knight, you feel like chaos, very strongly, but that doesn't stop you from looking like a knight. You my fair madame look very much like one."
He was being a bit cocky without really meaning to, most of what he said was without attitude, but that didn't change the fact that despite there dry delivery the words had a cockiness to them. "And power levels aren't everything. I train nearly every night, low power lever or not. I doubt it matters that much."

"I don't think I like you," she decided, as he insisted she looked like a knight. She very much loved her attire and did not think herself anything close to the Knights. In her mind, she was the epitome of what a Negaverse soldier should look like. Dark, authoritative, cute but useful.
Also, she had a spear that agreed with her.
She imagined he needed a reminder of his place in the world. A knight was like a dirt mat, good for not much else but being stepped on. A Page was even worse: the lowest quality of dirt mat. They fell apart all too easily.
"You doubt it matters, eh? Alright, mister trains every night. Come at me. Give me your best shot. And after that, it will be my turn to give you mine. Does that sound fair to you? I don't train every night, so clearly our strengths should be quite similar."
First, she was lying her face off. She trained more than most, and especially recently. Her civilian life had fallen apart, and she spent her time powered up to avoid it. Second, she knew full well that the difference between them would be devastating to the Page. But that just made it more fun.

Shang blinked slightly at the declaration not entirely sure how to feel or really react. He wasn't exactly use to someone outright telling him they didn't like him. He honest couldn't remember anytime in the past few years. "That's unfortunate, " was what came out of his mouth after a moment, "I thought we were getting along rather well, but I'm not exactly the most amazing socialite."
The statement lacked all humor, it was obvious he wasn't joking and was in fact totally serious. She continued on and his look of confusion was replaced with one of shock. He was really beginning to become wary of girl's who wanted to fight, it usually ended in him getting his butt whipped. "I don't think that's a good idea. I have learned the energy thing, I can feel you're stronger."
He briefly contemplated running, but the image of her popping into existence was still fresh in his mind. He took on a defense pose eyeing her warily, wondering what he had gotten himself into. "I'm a gentleman. I'm not going to start a fight ..." The words hung in the air the, but I'll finish it, failing to exit his mouth.

"Then let's hope you can end them, hm?"
She grinned at the knight and charged. She was not going to waste time, though she did love playing her witty banter with enemies. It was always enjoyable, learning about a target through some quick conversation, though she had a habit of saying too much and that often gave her opponents chances to attack her.
But such was the cost of good villainy.
Painite did not call her weapon right away, instead using her fists for this. So she had lied about that whole 'you hit first' thing. He had declined her offer, as far as she was concerned, and that still made it fair play for her to attack. She was having far too much fun already, and she knew it was just going to get better from here.
She could almost see his starseed in her hand.
She swung her fist for his face, fast and furious, not holding back in the slightest.

Shang frowned, but nodded, seeing he wasn't going to be getting out of the fight in the least. He was already wary of her power level or at least what he felt anyway, and he was wary of her anyway, because his encounters with girl's in the war were less than fun for her and often less than friendly, even those on his own side.
Shang barely dodged the fist aimed for his face, but lost his balance falling into his butt and scrambling backwards away from Painite, his eyes wide with panic. The fight had only just started and he was already on the ground.
He rolled and jumped to his feet, wanting to go for his weapon, but thinking it seemed a bit unfair when she was unarmed and not entirely sure what exactly the weapon would do for him. It was more medical examination than actually hurting someone, he didn't even think it was much good for simple blocking. No instead he balled his fist up and tried to ignore his upbringing which begged him not hit a woman.

"Down already?"
Painite laughed, watching him. Though it had been a good enough tactic for him, since it got him out of the path of her attack and she had not been expecting it. Maybe a few seconds later, after her fist connected, but not as soon as it had happened.
She grinned, imagining he was realizing his mistake in even speaking with her at this point.
When she saw his fist she grinned and moved to catch it if he chose to swing.
"I can kill you, you know," she said conversationally. "If I was so inclined, I could kill you without you being able to do anything about it. I could rip the starseed straight from your chest and you'd die without being able to gasp for help before it was all done. Does that sound nice to you? Sounds brilliant to me."

Shang scowled at Painite, irritated slightly by her taunting. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself before refocusing on the crazy woman in front of him. He watched her move unsure just exactly what he should be doing at the moment.
However, as she spoke, his eyes widened further and further. It was one thing to here that the negaverse did these things, one thing to see the aftermath of such an event, but another entirely to be threatened with it.
A hand went to his chest, while the other took a more guarding position in front of him and he himself took a few steps back. "I've done nothing to you and you've no reason to try to kill me. You're crazy. Is this what they do to you? Taint you and warp your mind."
Really he had no idea what he was talking about, but at the moment he was willing to say anything if he thought it was make her let her guard down a little. Just one good shot at her and he might be able to run.

Painite, quite conversely, enjoyed her taunting immensely. She thought it was clever and fun, and she always liked it when she could banter. Some things never changed, and though she had grown to be a bit more violent, less reliant on traps, she still reveled in her villainous nature.
It used to be a role she played, the bad guy that the senshi expected. Now it was simply who she liked to be.
"my reason to kill you, my boy," she said languidly, as if she were explaining the reason the sky was blue, but had also already been over it before, "is that you are a knight. Nothing else matters. That one little fact is enough to condemn you to a terrible, painful, and hopefully very slow death."
Painite moved toward him then, not yet tired of talking but thinking they could probably multitask pretty well if they wanted to. She lashed out with her fist, swinging for his face.

Shang was becoming more that a little bit annoyed with the woman in front of him, whom his opinion she to display a lack of common sense, but he still really didn't understand who the whole war worked himself and a lot of people didn't understand the vindetta against knight.
"I am not a boy," her said rather point blankly because in his opinion she looked probably close to his age," and your reason for wanting to kil me is very stupid."
He really should be saying the things he was saying but her was feeling a bit insulted at the moment. Her lashing out at him wasn't entirely expected and his shuffle to avoid the punch only resulted in his getting punched very hard in the ear and stumbling off to the side looking at the girl with a dizzied expression.
He shook his head and turned back toward her looking rather irritated fist clenched tighter, sort of studying her.

Painite smirked.
"Girl, then," she said, before attacking, as the knight protested being called a boy. She laughed, and shrugged leisurely at his complaints and rolled her shoulders a bit. There was no harm in letting him whine a little, they all did. Apparently people did not like getting threatened or having those threats followed through with.
Weird.
But follow through she did, and she watched him as he pulled back and got himself struck in a very painful place. Even Painite winced, imagining that getting hit in the ear was not comfortable in the slightest. She didn't feel bad about it, though, she just understood that it hurt. That was a good thing, though, and she laughed.
"Are you going to try to fight me, Page? I'd love to see you try." Because she knew, as a General, she could slaughter him. And that sounded really fun right now.

Shang felt after this little encounter he would have a permanent frown on his face finding himself frowning once more. He was sure he knew he hadn't meant to say he was a girl, but instead a man. He really wasn't about to argue his gender with the crazy knight dressed negaverser that was trying to kill him. Really it wasn't the time, and clearly he was a man.
He was getting rather sick of the taunting and rather sick of the situation in general, with fist clenched he decided to try to knock her off her feet, try to incapacitate her just long enough for him to escape. Shang didn't think he would ever be able to really truly hurt someone, he was a doctor after all.
His fist clench he ran at her, bringing his arms in close, not wanting to be to open. He tried to get as close to her as possible, before ducking down and throwing his right arm around in a curved punch aiming for her kidney. One thing could be said for being a doctor, he knew is anatomy.
