Eternal Sailor Pasiphae considered the distance between the roof on which she currently stood and the roof to which she wanted to leap. If she was still in the boots she was used to doing so would not have been difficult. However... she was not as she once was. Her fingers nervously traced the curve of her new mask, the gray-gloved hands another aspect to which she needed to become accustomed. Could she make it? With the lone signature of Order energy that she was seeking... could she afford to stop?

TThe answer was no, and with a deep breath she made the leap. Her wings required a balancing act on their own, but the thigh-high boots only added to that difficulty. She might have had greater power, greater sttrength, but that apparently did not come with greater balance! The Shame Senshi landed solidly enough, but when she tried to take her first step she felt her footing give way. In a tumble of puffed skirts from her new dress, Pasiphae promptly slipped on the icy rooftoop.

She just hoped the ally she was seeking out didn't see it. Hard enough for her to embark on her own to greet newcomers; harder still to try and do it when she flopped around like a flamingo.

Lucky for the senshi of shame that Delphi didn't see this act of...clumsiness. In fact the knight of Polaris was walking some back alley ways. She knew it wasn't smart, not considering the General who had been hidden in an alley and grabbed her those weeks ago. But she also didn't want to be seen like this by normal people.

For a moment she considered pulling her hood up, keep anyone who might glance down an alleyway from seeing her as she passed by. But would someone notice her given the distance? Not wanting to risk it she tucked her hair under the hood as it came up and over her head neatly. The tip of her long hair peeking out and resting on her shoulder.

Someone was headed her way, and she was headed their way. Would they be able to tell her more than what Tsui had? She hoped they could. She felt she would always have questions though so this...this gig; as Tsui called it, would be forever for Delphi. It would be a quest for answers and knowledge. She had no intentions of fighting and causing damage to property in the city or possibly hurting other people. She wanted to be as out of this as she could be.

Sorry for my slowness, Sleet!

The Eternal Senshi noted that the energy signature was coming closer to her as well, and for a brief moment she worried that her ally was rushing for help. But the movement was too meticulous, too slow to be fleeing. Not to mention that she could feel no Chaos energy. No, it just seemed that they would be crossing paths--but she still did not hesitate. After meeting Vanadis and Aventine, it seemed apparent that there were people now who needed questions answered. Better her than no one at all, and at least they would know they were not alone.

When she heard someone walking beneath her, she jumped down from the roof. Pasiphae landed in the alleyway with a clack of heels, but this time she managed to maintain her footing. She straightened up to look over at the hooded figure, quickly taking a step back in an attempt to look unthreatening. Gloved hands rose in the universal sign of peace as she spoke, hastening to get introductions out of the way "Hello. I'm Pasiphae."

Then, feeling awkward, she added as explanation, "I felt that you were out here alone, and... that can be dangerous."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 11, 2013 2:09 am

She knew it was dangerous to be alone, considering that night she'd become a knight, she knew all too well how that it could be dangerous. She didn't say this though as she was surprised by the others leap down from the roof top. She shouldn't be surprised though, really she shouldn't be. That knight she'd met, the darkly dressed one with the cap on his head, had done similar enough really. But this wasn't a knight. It seemed that many liked to travel via roof top. Was it to avoid civilians? Or just because they could do it?

Reaching up with gloved hands she lowered her hood and nodded her head once to the other. The girl was trying to reassure her? Or just let her know that she was safe? Not having felt that darkness she associated with the Negaverse and the dark mirror, she didn't feel threatened; surprised though. "Delphi, and good evening." Something of a small smile crossed her features.

"I know, trust me I do. But I also don't know enough to go out with." Not that she was sure she would. She wasn't much of a people person, or rather she didn't trust people and didn't have much for close or even really good friends.

"I've had luck since the night I became a knight." That night hadn't been so lucky. That meeting with the dark mirror senshi was lucky and had gone well, better than she supposed it could have gone. "If it's dangerous though why are you out alone? Is it not dangerous for you as well"

The Shame Senshi looked as the page removed her hood, keeping a comfortable distance. She did not want to seem invasive or exert any pressure on her ally, not knowing her personality. The page--Delphi, as she identified herself--seemed well suited for the chilly night with her pants and long coat. Pasiphae was slightly envious, as her own attire had become... flimsier with the most recent upgrade. As a result, she rubbed at her arms as introductions were made.

When Delphi took control of the conversation, Pasiphae smiled sheepishly, moving to coil her hair around her fingers reflexively. Her fingers hit metal and recoiled. She was still getting used to this new, larger mask with its Valkyrian wings. She answered the very fair question asked of her, "Um... yes, it's dangerous for me too. But... I'm willing to take the risk. I don't want anyone else getting hurt."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2013 8:55 am

"Why? Why take the risk? Would you at least, if your going out to help others, go out with someone else?" She couldn't help but ask as she approached slowly. The other seemed nervous and perhaps covering some distance, bringing them closer, would help in some manner? She may not trust people but she also didn't like people being nervous about her - and that seemed like a nervous gesture to her.

"If, like you say, your looking to help people. It wouldn't be good if you went out alone and got hurt." It would keep her from helping people. Though was she out to help people, relly? As far as she'd been concerned up till now everyone seemed a terrorist in her mind. And why shouldn't they? From the blond who had attacked her in the alley to Tsui she'd seen fighting, talk of it, and been involved in some very light training (which she would be returning to if only for her own safety). This one was more calm and quite than the others, sort of like the long blond haired senshi who had saved her, even though she'd been involved in that fight as well. There was still that calmness. That knight had also ben calm, even though he'd ben telling her that she was stuck in this mess more or less, but he'd been calm as well. She needed that right now - calm people. She was still new to this and this certainly wasn't something she wanted to be part of, but was slowly accepting - little by little, and pushing would just cause her to lash out like a harsh winter storm bearing down on a small city.

"Don't you all go out in groups? Pairs at the very least? " Up till now she'd not seen any two, or more, together. The blond haired senshi and the green clad knight didn't count. They hadn't started out together.

It was natural for a newly awakened page to have questions. Pasiphae had certainly had questions--still had questions--about many aspects to her powered life. Vanadis and Aventine had somewhat prepared her to act as a reference resource. However, neither encounter had prepared her to be examined in this manner! If the winged adornments at her waist could move on their own, they'd definitely be fluttering, even as Delphi took a step closer.

The Shame Senshi only wanted to come across as friendly and open, particularly since the page seemed concerned for her well-being, despite being relative strangers. She licked her made-up lips and explained, "I'm sorry, you're right, of course. It's just... I'd rather get hurt myself, then ask anyone else to be hurt." Pasiphae had never been one to shy away from the truth, no matter how unpleasant. Her own insecurities were further fueled by her memories of seeing others in pain, and her voice dropped as she confessed, "It just seems... better me than no one? I have been helped so much that I wanted... to help, too. Even if only a little."

She smoothed the skirt of her dress, forcing heself to put a bit more volume to her tone. She couldn't afford to look weak--even if she was, had always felt she was--whenever she was meant to be the reassuring one. "Some people go out in pairs and groups; I normally go out with my team, for example. But... I'll go to any Knight or Senshi that needs help. I think it'd be better if everyone worked together but... some people just seem to prefer working alone."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 25, 2013 7:13 pm

"If they are friends and allies they should feel concern over you going out alone, over possibly being hurt, and go out with you - even if it's a risk for them. They could be what helps, or even saves you, one night." She spoke. The idea of death was not a pleasant one. Death was something to be run away from, to try and avoid at all cost. It wasn't something you risked so easily, at least not for her. And here this one was so easily risking her own life for others, others who she wouldn't let risk themself for her life. Was she that giving and freely so? That she wouldn't ask another to go out with her on the chance they may get hurt helping her?

Faltering in her approach she stood staring at the other as she spoke so softly, she nearly had to strain her hearing to hear those next words spoken. "Everyone has a value - a worth. You sound like you don't value yourself as highly as you should, I apologize if it's not true or it's hurtful but it's how it sounds to me." She spoke, not wanting to hurt the other. It seemed something might already be bothering her. And Delphi might be as cold as her name sounded but she couldn't be so cold here and now.

"You shouldn't feel bad about being helped or like you owe everyone. At least not enough that you would risk your life so easily. Wouldn't it be wrong, an insult even, if you got hurt trying to repay the help others have given you? You really should hold yourself higher." And she really felt like she may have over stepped some bounds but she also was going with what she felt the need to say, where her words were being pulled and guided.

Biting her lip she fell silent for a moment. "If I've over stepped I apologize, again. And we should go out one night to walk around. I need to know more about all of this. I'm sure anything I ask now and get answered will only lead to more questions.

"Oh, they would come, if I asked!" It was all going wrong! Pasiphae could feel herself coloring under Delphi's words, despite how kind they were. The Eternal was messing it all up. She was making it seem like no one else cared, when they most certainly did. It would give the new page the wrong impression!

The truth was that, yes. She was that giving. If it meant keeping another safe, the Shame Senshi would gladly take the blow or lay down her life. It was her duty to protect the innocent, to support her allies--no matter the cost to herself. "I don't mean to make it seem like they don't care--they do, they care very much! They're... more than just allies. They're my friends, and I know they would do anything for me."

Which was precisely what the selfless girl could not allow. Kallicore covered in blood. Chaonis throwing himself into the fight as a distraction. Ganymede splattered with tar. Valhalla tossing his compass at the Great Youma. Tallulah and Harper burnt by terrorist flame. She could continue the list forever, describe the injuries she had seen inflicted upon those who fought beside her. The injuries of those who fought against her were equally terrible, of course, but nothing tore at her heart more than seeing her friends harmed. Delphi was much more take charge, in Pasiphae's view, prompting her desire to allow the page to assume command of the conversation.

All the same... she wanted to make sure she didn't lead her astray. "So, it's not that I feel endebted as such." Nodding, she started to be reassuring on a different track, "I don't take any offense. I'll gladly answer any questions you have, either tonight or another time. I can also ask others to come... if you'd rather talk to them." She would certainly understand that; the other Senshi were more capable. "Whatever works best for you!"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 10, 2013 8:39 pm

Oh, she might not like the sound of the allies. But the senshi before her upset her in a way. Someone who seemed, at least on the outside, that self sacrificing and looking for nothing in return for her loyalty, which went so deep. It bothered her. It just seemed like she didn't value her life as much as she should, why would someone feel that way?

While she was new to this whole thing, and completely uncomfortable and disagreeable to it, she was certainly a alpha sort of person with an opinion, and lack of trust in others, who stood up on her own. She valued herself and didn't care to get herself in over her head, or even potentially so. This whole war thing was over her head as far as she was concerned and she also had never been a fighter, she really was working to learn to defend herself though.

"I think...for now I'd prefer talking to you. You are, on the surface, unlike many people. I want to know about this war. It's best I understand it as much as I can. I want to know why? I've already had a run in with more than one who I've been told are dangerous, and would like to know what started this all and what has happened. I need to understand what I've been dragged into."

Terribly sorry for making you wait, dearheart. I'm going crazy with my comps next week, but I think after that I'll be able to RP more quickly!

I also adore Delphi. Just so you know. <3

Also sorry that long post is long. @_@

On some level, Pasiphae would have felt more comfortable referring the page to another. Kallichore, maybe, or Ganymede or Valhalla... someone who knew so much more, had been doing this longer. Still, there was some comfort to be had in Delphi's willingness to interact with her. The Eternal was ever eager to please.

Her garnet gaze stayed on the page as she thought of how best to answer. 'Why' was a very difficult question, not the least of which because the answer depended on who was asked. Pasiphae had never wondered too deeply the 'why' beyond 'why me?' The enemy, and the war, existed before her. There was certainly history, more than even she knew, but she had dedicated herself to the present. Whatever the cause of the war, she would work to end it now. Whatever the sins, or virtues, of her moon, she was of the Earth and dedicated to protecting its citizens.

Another part of the page's speech made her hesitate as well. Pasiphae had never felt 'dragged' into being a Senshi. She had been chosen, and she had accepted it as her duty. Even if she doubted her own value, she could not abandon her responsibilities. The time that she had avoided donning her mask had been hard and, ultimately, proven this fact to her. How, then, could she explain to Delphi, who did not feel the same?

The Senshi smoothed the front of her dress, unpursing her lips from their thoughtful position. Just because the page's questions were hard to answer did not make them unworthy of an answer--it just meant that she had to try hard to explain. "As far as I know... Chaos and Order have always fought. Something happened between the Moon Princess and whomever headed the Negaverse and... we have been fighting ever since." A short, and perhaps unsatisfactory history, but the ancient past of the Senshi and Knights was not Pasiphae's area of expertise. "I'm sorry I don't know more... but perhaps other Senshi do. I can try and find out! Or... or bring you to the moon?"

Then, wondering if she had perhaps misinterpreted the question, Pasiphae hastened to add, "But I don't fight because of that. I don't know anyone on our side who does."

The rest was a little easier for her to explain because it was the present, and the Senshi tried not to fidget over much as she continued. "There are two groups who are dangerous... both forces of Chaos. One is the Negaverse; they have weapons, sort of like Knights do. They also have Corrupted Senshi who... you'll know because they have holes in their heads and at their hearts." The rememberance of her first glimpse of one such dark void made her breath catch in her throat, but she could not... concentrate on Carnelian now. "And then... there are Dark Mirror Senshi, who used to be like us, on the side of Order until Ares betrayed them."

Pasiphae's mouth was dry after speaking for so long in the chilled air. She took this opportunity to swallow and to give Delphi a chance to ask anything else or to seek clarification. Or to walk away because everything sounded rather frightening, but the Eternal rather hoped she wouldn't do that.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 31, 2013 11:15 pm

"This sounds like a fight that's gone on far longer than what's been happening here - in Destiny city." There was just something about that 'fighting ever since' that had her thinking this had gone on for a very long time, too long if you asked her. It was...an unsavory idea and not one which she liked. She didn't like the idea of fighting, war, and people suffering because two sides simply had to fight. Again she felt like she was some terrorist, like everyone involved was really. But for now the thought was pushed aside, she could analyze that later. There was more to hear, and she would hear everything this senshi had to say, she didn't want to miss a thing. And it was good she hadn't focused on her previous thoughts; or she'd have missed that bit about the moon.

"Wait - we can go to the moon? No space ship or space suits? I mean I heard about wonders. But how is it all possible? It shouldn't be - science..." But no. None of this followed science so why should this? It all went against science and the basic lessons everyone was taught in school. And while this went through her mind, how the rules of science were being torn asunder, a new thought came into her mind. She could go to space! She could be closer to the stars and look down on Earth! The very notion was...fascinating and somewhat romantic as well, in the same way that being with a loved one and star/moon gazing was.

"I'd like to meet others..." Absentmindedly the words passed her lips. "I'd like to know everything I can. But for now I am enjoying this conversation and your answers. Everyone will answer me differently and so your answers are just as important." It was a simple point of view and opinion thing. And for someone who wanted to know everything she possible could, to have her need for answers and curiosity quenched, it all mattered to her. "But your saying that those you know aren't fighting because of this...original fight? I mean I'm assuming there has been a lull of sorts?" She hesitated with her words here. She didn't want to assume too much but it sounded this way to her. With how it sounded like this had been going on for so long, and yet it was all new here, she was assuming it had taken an intermission of sorts.

"I met a dark mirror senshi. He was kind...and stuck in a tree. I had to help him from the tree, as he'd gotten his foot stuck in it's branches. He did feel dark - nothing like that General. But he didn't behave as such." Not like the blond General had. It seemed like she imagined all wars were - without a clearly defined line. Meeting someone on this 'dark' side and having them be as kind as that dark mirror senshi had been told her as much. She didn't like that; not one bit. She'd prefer it if the lines were as clear as possible without any blurring. She'd also like there to be no fighting but it seemed impossible.

Watching as the senshi seemed to be suffering from talking a lot; she too was feeling similar, the dark haired knight tilted her head a bit. "Perhaps we should find a safe place and power down. If we can find a place open this late I'll treat you to a drink and we can talk in a warm, secluded, place. If you don't mind of course." She just thought it might be better than standing out here and suffering a dry mouth; from talking. Plus they could be comfortable while they spoke.

The Eternal Senshi shook her head, apology clear in her voice, "I don't know if there was ever a lull. I was chosen to be a Senshi, to use whatever power I had to protect people from Chaos. That's all I've ever fought for--to protect people. Even those corrupted... but I can't let my guard down anymore." Under the responsibility, and the memory, of the battles in which she had fought, Pasiphae seemed to half-wilt, "I have to always be willing to fight because... they can attack anytime, even when unprovoked. But still... I am trying, to save them." Trying and failing, but she wasn't sure she could bear to tell the page any more negative news.

Pasiphae couldn't help but smile as topic shifted to space travel. Like Delphi, she had a difficult time wrapping her mind around the basic "facts" of life being turned upside down. No, planets and moons should not have gravity or a breathable atmosphere. One should not be able to teleport to the moon--much less the moon of another planet! Yet, she had been herself, to both locations. "I know it seems fantastical, but... it's very beautiful, too. Especially Earth's moon. It's... ancient and safe. No Chaos forces can reach you there."

At the suggestion of powering down, the Shame Senshi immediately obliged. In her mind, their continued ability to communicate uninterupted was proof enough of their safety. She wanted to show Delphi that she had full trust in the page, and revealing her civilian identity was the ultimate sign of that trust. Pasiphae breathed a sigh of relief as her finery melted away. As always, ornate mask revealed the comparatively plain girl underneath. Revealing herself always brought to mind Chaonis, but the Shame Senshi knew--as she had known then, however instintively--that her allies should be trusted. Could be trusted. Penelope Seneca was as safe as Sailor Pasiphae could ever be.

The teen brushed some hair behind her ears, uninhibited this time as she made the second introduction, "I'm Penelope Seneca, and... and I'd definitely like a cup of cocoa."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 04, 2013 1:09 am

"Never a lull..." But it hadn't seemed like a war had been going on while she'd been growing up. Had she been unaware of something - something this big? She didn't think so, and she certainly hoped not. The idea was somewhat troubling really, and disconcerting. Her attention divided between her thoughts and what was being side she nodded her head, the words registering but not fully. When the words did fully register she stared for a moment. They can be saved? You mean like talked into joining us." She couldn't picture trying to talk to the blond who'd first attacked her, she was fairly sure there would be no convincing there. "I'll just have to learn to avoid those on the other side in this war." Since she didn't care for the idea of fighting, not to mention she was simply no good at it. "But it sounds like you have bad experiences with being attacked by them..." And that shouldn't be. This whole thing was a mess and wrong; so very wrong.

When she herself powered down she was left in normal clothing. A dark blue top, a darker coat and equally dark pants, her long hair held up with some ornate clip, and chandelier earrings. She wasn't plain looking but also she wasn't anything too special, in her mind anyway.

Looking the other over she nodded to her self as she committed the others face, and senshi identity, to memory. She wouldn't forget her any time soon.

"Winterlynn Leshcheva." Offering her hand to the other as she flashed her a smile. "Drinks are on me, so we should get going...." Biting her bottom lip she hesitated before speaking again. "And I'd like to go out more nights with you, powered up, to get used to this and see what more I can learn."

That sounds like a good plan!

The girl nodded as Delphi became her civilian self, and there was no hint of her normal reservedness as she baldly stated, "They can be saved. Some of them are good and just... misguided." But that could wait for another time.

"Anytime you call, Winterlynn... I'll come," Penelope reassured her new friend as she wrapped her coat tighter around herself. "I'll be sure to give you my number while we get that drink." And maybe next time... she'd bring a few friends along for Winterlynn to meet.
