Appearance:
Keren is somewhat plain in most of her looks, and no real feminine curves of any sort to speak of as yet. She as eyes that appear to be a dark grey, and pale skin, with a face that is still round and childish in appearance. Her hair is her one feature of note; she has a head of thick, dark brown hair that falls nearly to her waist, and is fairly curly. Its usually braided down her back, or woven tightly into a bun to keep out of her way during chores, but she loves to let it hang loose and show it off whenever she can.

**Due to circumstances at High Reaches Weyr, Keren's personality underwent massive changes after Impression, due to other humans, not her dragon. **
Both are written in present, because the pre impression looked stupid in past tense. And its not that that personality is gone. Its just smooshed under pressure and angst.

Pre Impression:
Keren is a bubbly, happy young lady, who loves bright colors and wildflowers. She's a little on the chatty side, and not one to 'sweat the small stuff'. She's nearly always in a good mood, and always willing to help out with chores, or favors that are asked of her.
Twisted ankles and stubbed toes are a bit more common with her than the average for her age, Her clumsy side tends to show most when she's nervous, or running somewhere.
She can be rather insecure at times, and she tries to put up a good front, and can usually hide her nerves, until someone asks her to speak, or do something more complicated than walk in a straight line.

Post Impression:
When it comes to drills and wingrider training, she always goes out of her way to please her superiors. Between that, and the general desire to prove herself, she generally winds up her nerves before practices, and ends up not knowing the answers to simple questions- making herself looking like a stuttering dimglow, or tangles herself in her harness. Her clumsiness is exacerbated by her inferiority complex her instructors and superiors have given her.
Keren is a knotted mess of wound- too- tightly nerves, the majority of her stress being caused by her environment at High Reaches. In the nearly two turns since she Impressed Hesseth, she's gone from a bright, cheery young woman to an emotional trainwreck.
She's too unsure of herself or stepping on someone's toes, or attracting a disapproving frown to be herself.



History:
Keren was born into a well-to-do family of Nabol, and enjoyed an easy and happy childhood, more than a little doted on by her parents.
At 13, a gold egg was laid at High Reaches, and she was Searched as a Queenrider Candidate.
During the Touching, while the majority of the girls seemed only interested with the Gold, and some of the smaller eggs that might hold greens, Keren made a point to visit with each egg.
When the eggs hatched, Keren stood with the rest of the girls near the Gold egg. Midway through, it hatched, and slowly tumbled out of its shell and headed towards the girls. After only a few wobbly steps, a large blue exploded out of its shell, and charged towards the girls as well, tackling the little queen as he did, and tearing through the thin membrane of her wings before Impressing to Keren.
The Queen didn't go between, but her left wing was very badly damaged, and never healed quite properly. Though it wasn't truly the pairs fault, Keren and Hesseth were treated poorly by many in the weyr as a result. It was decided after about a year that they would be sent to another weyr as soon as Hesseth reached maturity- for everyone's sake.
