So after doing some investigating around I found something that I was curious about. Are there limits for the various levels of characters? I was just wondering because from what I understand, someone of a lower rank can possibly be just as powerful as a captain. All I'm wondering is how this works. By that I mean Bankai/Kido and other shinigami skills. I'm not sure if lower ranks can use Bankai right off the bat or if there is a process that they have to through first before they can obtain bankai in an RP setting. But the same goes with the other shinigami skills.
Thanks!

Well, firstly, you must understand that this is a very loose T1 roleplaying guild. We don't have stats, or anything of the like, and we decide the relative power levels of our opponents based on both their personal writing skill, and their rank in the actual roleplay. Simply put, a well written Vice-Captain would be more powerful than a poorly written captain, and that dude should expect to be threatened.
Nevertheless, it's all based on general ideas of power, and how one would explain their character's strengths and weaknesses in their profile. For instance, a seated officer in the Eleventh Division would have more skill with a blade that a captain of a squad who's specialty is not combat oriented. IT works under both logic, and how you read the profile.
Let's get deeper.
If someone were to spend their entire career working on their Kido, they would be pretty damn good right? Probably the best of the best of the best. But, since you put all of that time into Kido, you didn't go and work on your swordsmanship, or Hakuda. That's known as specialization, and it's how a weaker shinigami might be better in combat than another one. Simply playing on the strengths.
As far as I know, there isn't a sure fire way of attaining bankai in story. I am not the Shinigami moderator; I'm only the crack case profile mod, and the dickhead of an Arrancar Mod.
But, I do have an update thread set up for all species. Said thread is on the main forum.
It runs pretty simply. IF you train, you expect to get somewhere, right? But you can't edit your profile, so what do you do?
You post in the update thread!
There, I can look it over with the help of an assistant who has yet to be decided. At that point, we can decide if the training you put in is worth it, and if you get either an upgrade to physical stats, or to gaining weirdo magical death ray canons. There is even a cool little format for you to fill out.
All of this ,brought by yours truly. You know what, Yoshi is right. I am a badass.

Okay I see. I'm used to stats in most guilds and was just wondering how it worked. Just to clarify though, anyone at any level has access to Bankai?

II Nix ll Okay I see. I'm used to stats in most guilds and was just wondering how it worked. Just to clarify though, anyone at any level has access to Bankai? It's generally only Captains and Vice-captains, but there is no rule stating otherwise.
