Update on the histology. May not want to look if you're squeemish..
picked up the mass yesterday. Got a crazed look from a client when I told the receptionist I was picking up a mass.

Ok, here it is. Bout half the length of my finger. So almost 2inches.

After taking these shots, I used a scalpel blade and cut 1/4 into sections and then left it in the safe fix. It gets dehydrated on Tuesday. Then I embed it in wax, freeze it, sometimes if I'm lucky that's done at the beginning of class and I can cut it the same day. We use a special machine to cut the embeded tissues all of 5 micro meters. Then we float the strip of wax in water and pick it up with a microscope slide. Then the staining takes almost 2hrs.... So yea, it's a long a** process. Hopefully I will be able to look at it under the microscope next week. If it's nice enough I'll send it to the pathologist to confirm whatever I think I see.
