Coda breathed in a deep sigh of relief. It had been a difficult time while she was with foal but now as her children romped around that the pains had been worth it. Her familiar Radiance stood nearby. She sought out Illarion's form and leaned against her mate.
"Our children seem to be a blessing in disguise."
She was tired. Carrying around three foals for a while before giving birth to them and then waiting for the foals to emerge had drained Coda immensely. She nuzzled Illarion with a soft touch before smiling. "Although I am happily becoming used to the idea of being a parent. Thank you Illarion."

Illarion nuzzled Coda as their foals tumbled and giggled within their eyesight. It had been a hard few months, tiring for both of them--filled with worry and fear. But now they were here, and it had all been worth it. "No, thank you Coda." He nuzzled her again and buried his face into her hair.
His mouth moved next to her ear, "Thank you for our family. For carrying them safely, for giving them to us. For letting me have the family, I always wanted." He shut his eyes as he sighed against her. He had never had much of a relationship with his family. He didn't even know where they were at the moment--not for lack of want. But his family had not ever been close.
He had a different hope for this family.

Andromeda's Nocturne toppled over heavily with a sigh. Her tail was quite cumbersome, far from being agile like her brothers or graceful like her mom she had the cumbersome grace of...a crab. She huffed a little, as she got back to her feet. Would she ever really grow into this tail?
Well, she did know one thing though--if she and her brothers had a play fight it was easier to knock them down. So that was kind of an advantage. Plus, dad said she'd be able to swim better and deeper. She'd be able to hold her breath longer.
But as is often the case, it wasn't what Nocturne wanted. Her eyes drifted towards the heavens, and she watched as a mighty bird flapped by. The ease and grace of it's wings. It got to soar closer the stars that her pelt resembled.
Often, at night, she would trace the constellations on her side and look up to the heavens. If ever she saw a wishing star, she knew what she would wish for--wings.

The foal romped around with his siblings for a bit before his mind began to wander and he grew silent. Charon's Allemande was an interesting fellow that some saw as odd. He didn't care in the least what the thought and went in his merry way. Well some might not see him as merry, the foal was usually found quietly contemplating something by himself. He liked to listen and gather all the information possible before making any decisions.
As he heard wings flap over head he smiled and broke out if his own revieire and galloped loudly and awkwardly over to his sister. Gently he lipped her mane as he teased her out of her own thoughts to come and play some more.

Draco's Rhapsody looked around for his siblings. Both had seemingly wandered off after their little impromptu game. He sighed before glancing towards the area that his mother and father occupied. He trotted towards them on unsteady legs before catching sight of the strange green creature that his mother had called a familiar. She had given each of her children a firm warning to leave the creature be. Draco was hesitant in his actions but he wanted to chase the green animal around a little.
Silently he advanced on Charon from behind. If he couldn't chase the familiar than perhaps startling his brother would be a little more fun. He took a couple of steps before tripping over his own feet and landed with an audible thud. Why did that happen to him? His sister seemed to be the one that had all the trouble so why couldn't he be the sneaky one?
He caught Charon's action as he lay sprawled on the ground. "C'mon you guys. Quit staring at the sky and let's play."

Nocturne shook her thoughts out of her head as her brother Charon pulled on her hair. She pushed him hard giggling. "What do you want to play Draco?" She giggled at him laying in the dirt. Maybe her clumsiness wasn't ALL from her tail after all.
"We could play tag or make-believe. Or maybe we could go swimming? Or..." She paused to think. "I'm out of ideas. What do you guys think?"
She loved having brothers, not that she wouldn't love to have a sister. But it was nice to get to rough house with the boys. She would certainly know how to take care of herself that's for sure and she was quite proud of it.

Charon giggled as Andromeda gave him a shove. Luckily he stayed in his feet, he turned quietly to make sure his brother was ok and to help him up if he wanted.
"Hmmm tag would be fun...or we could go exploring." The end of his suggestion ended up sounding wistful. Charon wandered off mentally again as he thought of the things he could discover and learn about. He wanted to learn as much as possible.
The foal stopped paying attention as he quietly pondered things....hearing his siblings discussing the plan behind him he snapped back to attention.
"Well what's the plan?"

Draco stuck out his tongue at his sister as she giggled at him for falling down. His sides heaved as he righted himself and stared at both Charon and Andromeda. He wore a conspiratorial smile as he took in his sister's tail and his brother's bright coloring. His gaze flickered again to his mother's familiar. "We could play tag or go exploring ... but I have something better in mind. I know mama told us to leave her familiar alone but would it be so bad if we involved it in a game of tag ... or chase?"
Draco's grin grew wider as he finished speaking; if his siblings didn't want to follow his idea that was fine. "I know my idea would get us into trouble but I want to know why we can't do something."
The colt gave an absent shrug of impatience. He would most likely be on his own if his siblings didn't agree with his idea.

Andromeda flicked her heavy tail, "I don't see why we can't either. I mean, we'll just be playing right?" She raised her eyes at her brothers. "That should be fine, shouldn't it? I mean..." She thought about it, she didn't want to be picked on as the girl or for being a tattle-tail. "Let's do it," she said more resolutely than she felt.

"Welll......I dunno you guys." Charon shuffled a hoove on the ground for a moment as he thought about Draco's idea. They were undoubtedly going to get into some sort of trouble if they bothered their mothers familiar. Buuuut Charon was now leaning towards tag, especially if it meant more people. Plus....seeing what trouble they would get into was sort of like exploring right? Right? "OK!" He shouted and tried to look all grown up and stallion like as he announced his decision. "I say tag it is! It's always more fun with more players." Charon beamed at his siblings. "But I'm pretty sure than Andromeda should be it first!!" He leaned in swiftly and touched his nose to his sisters should and then bolted off laughing like a maniac.
