Personality: Rin is probably one of the most optimistic, bubbly and clumsiest person you will ever meet. She is not the brightest crayon in the bunch. She is always hard working and tries her best, no matter how dumb or dense she may seem. It is rare to see her without a smile on, even if she is faking it. She is blunt and tends to speak whatever is on her mind. She isn't very quick to notice obvious things because she is so dense, so unless she is told directly/specifically about things, she is clueless. Although she seems rather thoughtless, she is well focused on missions or tasks given to her at hand.
Rin may be friendly most of the times, but she does not trust people 100%. Most people cannot tell her fake smiles from her genuine ones. For the people that she truly treasures, she would risk her life for them.

Rin was always alone since she was five. Born and raised in America during the modern era by an orphanage; the only family she had were the nuns and other orphans who lived with her. Before she was pawned off at the orphanage, she had lost her parents during a robbery. She was sound asleep, safely hidden in a secret room in the basement while her parents were shot by loan sharks.
Eventually when she became of age, she had to leave the orphanage and had to attend a regular high school in South Korea. Bullying was very extreme there, especially if you were the prime target of the school's jjang (#1 top dog), which Rin became due to her disadvantageous background. Rin was generally a nice person and was very popular amongst her classmates, making friends everywhere she went, but the school's jjang didn't like this very much.
One day, Rin would go to school to find a red skull pasted onto her locker, which was basically the jjang's way of saying "you're dead". All her "friends" turned on her, bullying her by pouring water over her head, hiding her books and beating her up because they were afraid of being bullied themselves. Her only friend, Yuki would stand up for her and be bullied along with her. Yuki eventually went to the school's roof and jumped. With the guilt and burden that overcame Rin, she jumped to her death too because all she had was Yuki. If he was gone, she had no one left in the world.
Upon her arrival in Soul Society, she lost all memories of her human life and lived as a thief with no home stealing things just to get by. She eventually found herself at the academy for shinigami, eventually joining the 13 squads.

Shikai Ability:
1. Devil's Sycophant: With the ability to control and manipulate shadows, Rin condenses her reiatsu with shadow. Attacks are propelled from the blade in large crescents, waves or even in "walls" of shadow, depending on the motion of the Zanpakutou (how it is swung, etc.) This can be used both offensively and defensively.
2. Chaos Expulse: Rin is able to manipulate and alter the interdimensional space within Shuichi's world/dimension. This allows Rin to multiply, divide, and manipulate any form of shadow within a 50 yard radius. (Take for example: using shadow to create a form of a girl or a shield etc).
3. Obscure Discharge: If an enemy's attack manages to hit one of her shadow manipulated clones or matter, it not only takes the hit for Rin, but the attack is sent to Shuichi's dimension where Rin may release back the attack at any given point in time, with her own reiatsu melded into it. The longer the attack stays in zanpakutou's dimension, the stronger it becomes.(Can be used only once every three posts.)
4. Archangel's Execution: Rin's blade becomes coated with a dark aura. This allows her blade to dissipate and reform at any given time into different forms of weapons (example: gun/throwing knife/axe/staff). For weapons that are projectiles (like guns), the bullets are her own spiritual

Bankai Incantation: "Consume the light into the depths of hell, Kurogane Shuichi"
Bankai Description: [Picture] Rin's weapon disetegrates into complete shadow, and instead becomes armor. The armor wraps all along her body, leaving only her face bare. Two black blades appear to wrap around her wrists.
Bankai Ability:
1.-Sovereign of Darkness: Lucifer's Shadow Gate
The black blades upon contact, will momentarily transport the part of the body to Kurogane's dimension and will disallow use of that part. (Ex: The blades make contact with the opponent's right leg-- The leg will be "sent" to a different dimension for a limited amount of time.) The duration depends on how powerful the opponent is. After the body part exits Kurogane's dimension, it will be marked with a black arrow. The second time that body part is hit again, it will completely disintegrate into black dust, permanently transporting that part to the Kurogane's dimension for the remainder of the fight or when she cancels the ability. (Think --Soi Fong's shikai!)
2.Primary Curse:The black lotus tattoo on Rin's body spreads, until she is completely black, and the epitome of shadow itself. This allows her to freely move around as shadow and change herself into any shape or form. (e.g.: slipping through a door through a crack). As her body is shadow, her weapons are no longer in use as her body itself is her weapon. (e.g.: kicking someone's chest with her knee will have the same effect as a blade aimed towards the opponent's chest).

• 1. Shō (衝, Clash) Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. Byakurai (白雷, Pale Lightning) The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger.
11. Tsuzuri Raiden (綴雷電, Bound Lightning) Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.
12. Fushibi (伏火, Lain Fire) Momo Hinamori uses this spell in conjunction with Shakkahō and a Kidō net that has entangled her opponents resulting in a large explosion around them all.

8. Seki (斥, Repulsion) Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it.
9. Geki (撃, Strike) Engulfs the target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
10. Hōrin (崩輪, Disintegrating Circle) Causes an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to erupt from the users hand and attempt to trap a target. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together.
21. Sekienton (赤煙遁, Red Smoke Flight) Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.
26. Kyokkō (曲光, Bent Light) Hides the target from sight, by bending light. The spell has the ability to totally hide the presence and reiatsu of the user or specified object.

30. Shitotsu Sansen (嘴突三閃, Beak-Thrust Tri-Flash) Forming a golden triangle with one's finger, it shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in a shape of an equilateral triangle.
37. Tsuriboshi (吊星, Hanging Star) Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
39. Enkōsen (円閘扇, Round Lock Fan) Summons a shield of condensed reiatsu to block opponents' attacks.
58. Kakushitsuijaku (摑趾追雀, Trace-Catching Pursuit Sparrows) Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on.
61. Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six-Staff Light Prison) Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.
