The teen Pupinaw known as Aggro was nervously wondering the streets of Meteorite's Cradle. He was here to visit his love, Carwyn, but had arrived rather early, so he was now just killing time. He was looking at all the architecture, primarily the figures that were carved into the sides of the older buildings. He loved statuary and stone work of any kind. He'd been practicing and had a few things to show the shiny Drapion. He hoped that he'd be willing to put some of the things in one of his clubs. He felt his cheeks flush a little as he thought of his friend and all the ambitions and desires the successful teen had. He hoped he could be as successful someday. But that's why he was here, to hopefully get his works in the public's eye; can't work in sales without publicity.
He pulled the pictures of his work out of his pocket and went through them. They weren't the best of photos, but he didn't have a great camera. He hoped they'd be okay; he didn't want to have to lug some of the pieces from home to here, it'd be a long trip. After going through them, though, he sighed and put them away, only to remove a fist-sized rock from his other pocket.
Staring at the rock, he tried to find a shape he could make out of it, but wasn't really seeing anything, so just took a bite out of it like it were an apple. He pondered how long he'd been wandering the city today and decided that it'd be best to find someplace with a clock. He thought he saw one on one of the city buildings... but where was that? He shrugged and started off in search of a clock of some sort.

Mariette could not understand why Carwyn had kicked her out of his clubs that morning. She had no sooner crawled into the nearly finished front club of 'I Choose You' than she had been nearly pushed out and Carwyn had given her a small money pouch and muttered something about coming into town to get something. The little Spinerak had been unable to catch just what it was to pick up because Carwyn had been muttering to himself. He had been so flustered and a bit flushed that it had the little spider like Pokemon worried. She had never seen him like that and she could not fathom why the cool and confident Drapion would behave so.
He had not even had time to fasten on her mistletoe band. He had gotten such a fancy clasp that her little pointed legs could not get the intricate heart clasp to close. As she wandered down one of the streets of Meteorite's Cradle she fumbled with her to front legs trying to clasp her band on the mistletoe dragging along the ground and the money pouch falling hear and there. Each time the money bag dropped Mariette would startle and go to grab it, her front legs letting go of the band and all her work would slide off her neck and to the ground. So far this morning was not going well for her. The dark face across her back looked to be crying as she tried to pull the money bag and the band over to the side. She gave a sad little hiss as someone stepped on her mistletoe without notice, tearing the leaves and popping the harder berries.

With as little as Aggro spoke, his attention was usually devoted to more important things, like what was going on around him. That being said, he watched as a little spider-like Pokemon crawled along the sidewalk. It seemed to be having a problem carrying a bag and trying to affix a little headband at the same time. It was amusing until the headband had fallen and some inconsiderate person, not watching where they were going, had walked all over it. It looked completely ruined.
An anger welled up inside of Aggro and he stomped over to the person, spinning them around by the shoulder. He pointed at the sad little Spinarak as it fawned over the crushed decoration. A low growl erupted from Aggro as he glared at the person.
"Uh, whoa, jeez, sorry!" the person stammered, intimidated by the fierce looking teen. As soon as Aggro let go of the person, though, they ran off.
Aggro sighed and turned around, bending low to see if there was anything he could do to help the little creature. He smiled, trying to show he meant her no harm.

Mariette jumped as she heard the loud sound of heavy feet she looked up in time not to be startled as the huge teen growled and pointed at her. If she were capable of blushing she should have as the human stammered an apology and ran off.
She did not know why there was a fluttering deep inside her little carapace as the large teen bent over her with such a gentle smile. She looked up at him her black eyes shining with a mixture of a sad little puppy and a love struck fan. "T...thank you." she stammered out softly before lifting up the head bad to see just how much damaged had been caused. the straps of the little band flared out along the sidewalk one side of it showing a rather fancy "C" as part of the clasp. As the band was raised however most of the mistletoe bunch fell off and what was left were a few white berries and three torn leaves. "I...I can't talk to anyone with it torn line things." she said softly to herself her voice hardly more than a whisper as she tried to gather up some of the good leaves and reattach them to the band. Looking up at the large teen her mandibles moved as it about to talk but she turned away from him turning her back to him before she could find her words. The face on the back of her abdomen clearly showing the embarrassment her real face could not by displaying a o/////o face. "C...could you p..please help m...me find another...sprig?"

Aggro tilted his head and listened carefully to the little spider's quiet words. She was a rather cute little thing, but he did feel bad for her since her tiny headband was currently on a state of ruin. That being said, Aggro couldn't just leave her alone. What if someone stepped on her next time instead? He shook the thought from his mind as soon as he'd thought about it. No, he'd help her find another sprig; it's not like he had anywhere to be for a bit later anyway.
The little face on her back amused him too, he'd never seen anything quite like it. It seemed to show how she was feeling before she even said anything. But why was it blushing? He shrugged, thinking nothing more of it.
He nodded to her question about helping her. Without any further questioning, he gently scooped her up along with her headband and pouch and carefully placed her on his shoulder. He detached what was left of the sprig and examined it carefully. He'd seen this plant quite a bit before the Christmas season, but didn't really remember seeing it anywhere recently. He turned his head so he could see the Spinarak on his shoulder and held up the sprig as if asking where they could find some more.

Mariette gasped a bit as the large hands scooped her up. Normally when a person's hands tried to grab her or hold her she would feel very shaky and sure that she would be dropped but these rough hand held her so securely she did not even shake a bit and he gathered up all of her things as well. The blushing face on her back only created more lines of blushing.
Once placed on the broad should she gasped he was so tall she had never been up so high wail walking along in town. It was amazing. She made an sound mixed between a coo and a purr. She had completely, for a moment, forgotten what had happened to her head band and the sprig. All she knew was that she was so tall and felt so very safe. She held easily to his shirt and shoulder as she glanced around.
When a dull green something waved in front of her. Her the face on her back blinked since her large black eyes could not and it smiled gently, "Oh um…maybe there is some more in the garden? I think that is where we got the last one." she said softly. "T…thank you…for helping sir."

A smile spread across Aggro's face at the sound Mariette made. It was so adorable! He almost chuckled even. He'd have to show this cute little thing to Carwyn later! He knew his love Drapion would think she was just as cute.
Still smiling, he nodded to her "thank you" and looked off in all directions. Where had he seen the garden? He did see it today, didn't he? He thought for a while and remembered passing by a large public garden a few hours ago. He hoped that's where she'd meant by "the garden," but realized there were probably hundreds of gardens in this big city. Well, he'd just head that way and if he was heading in the wrong direction, surely she'd let him know. So, off they went.

The world looks so very different from the large broad shoulder of the Pupinaw. Though she her self was not any larger she felt so strong and large atop his shoulder. It was really amazing just how many things she missed being so short and small. The tips of her little legs held gently to his shirt as he walked. She was not looking at where they were going instead her large black eyes darted around looking at all she could. As she saw new things or the same things at a different angle she would give a gentle gasp and a happy little noise.
As they neared the public garden her eyes smiled as best they could and she shifted to nuzzle her cold little cheek against his large warm one. "Oh we got here so fast! Y... you are..a... amzing." she said softly and nods her back displaying a bright smiling face. "I k.. now they will have some here.. and I am sure you can reach the.. .best spring." She wonder if he would go home with her. She knew that Carwyn was waiting for someone but this big guy did help her so much and she knew that Carwyn would gladly give him a pass to one of his clubs or at the very least a free lunch.

Aggro hadn't really thought they'd gotten there that quickly, but he realized she probably took far smaller steps than he did. Another smile sneaked on his face without him realizing. She was so polite too, all this flattery! He sure wasn't used to it in most situations, especially having just met this little Pokemon.
He wandered around a little until he found the section for the Christmas plants. He noticed it'd been a larger area for the season, but had since been downsized. He was happy to see they still had a few mistletoe plants left though; even if they didn't look the best. He crouched down and began looking over the leaves and berries critically. He wanted to find the best sprig he could for the cute Spinarak. Eventually he found what he was looking for and carefully plucked it from the plant. He held it up and craned his neck as much as he could to see Mariette's approval or decline.

Even if she had been kicked out for the day she had to admit that it was a wonderful day. She made a new large friend who was really nice and helping her out. Maybe it was worth it having her spring broken if she would get to have so much fun with this new friend. He even had a super cute smile too that seemed like he had a hard time showing it. And that made the small smiles even more special.
As he found the Christmas section of the garden she gasp a bit. "Oh no...there is...there is not much left." her face turned into a shocked sad look. "W..what if there is no more after this?" She asked him her voice going very soft with worry and her mandibles shaking slightly.
When he knelt down she shifted over his shoulder to keep her balance. His large hands worked so nimbly threw the bush until he found a beautiful spring. Her large black eyes stayed wide and the face along her back with into a awestruck look, "Oh...it is beautiful!" she said moving to reach out and tap a leaf with one sharp leg. "T..that you." Her mandible moved into the closest thing to a smile she could. This large man was her hero!

It was a nice afternoon with the little Spinarak, even if it hadn't begun as such. He was just glad he could help the little thing out. Speaking of, now that they'd found a sprig for replacing the one that had been destroyed, where to next? He still had some time to kill, and judging by the bag she'd been carrying earlier, she had been on her way somewhere. He hoped that because of the little incident, she wouldn't be late to wherever she'd been heading. But, first thing's first!
Aggro carefully stood, making sure Mariette wouldn't fall off, and walked over to a bench to have a seat, sprig still in hand. He held his hand out for Mariette to climb on to, then gently placed her in his lap while he took her headband. He worked delicately, yet quickly; undoing the original piece of mistletoe and fastening the new one on. He held the tiny thing up, making sure it was secure before slowly placing it a top the Spinarak's head. He smiled, seeing how well it fit her. Whomever made that headband for her definitely cared for the little one.

Mariette was full ready to some how carry her new spirg and her old one home to have her guardian or one of his workers fix it for her. She shifted her body as he moved to stand. He was so large that it was pretty easy to sense his movements and shift to keep balanced on him as well as the fact that he moved nice and slow. It was so very nice! He was amazing.
As he sat down and held his hand she blushed and crawled down his arm shocked that he made her feel so light. Her back smiled up at him as she situated herself on his lap. His large hands were so very nimble! She gasped and her smile turned into a large beaming one. "Oh wow! Y..your hands are so quick!" She giggled softly as he placed it on her head. She gave a bob of her head to test it and nods, "It is perfect! T..Thank you so much!" He bit of a shy stutter seemed to clear up a bit. She so would have to introduce him to Carwyn and tell the love Drapion what this wonderful gentleman had done for her. Surely they could find a way to repay him.

Aggro smirked and nodded, telling Mariette "you're welcome" without speaking. He patted her on the head and offer his hand to move her back on to his shoulder whenever she was ready. Judging by the position of the sun, he didn't have much more time to spend with the cute little spider Pokemon; but he didn't want to rush her at all either. He'd take her where she needed to go, and then escort her home. He didn't want another incident like the one earlier. He internally shuddered at the thought; it could've been far worse. He hoped Carwyn wouldn't mind if he was a little late.
When she was back on his shoulder, he made a motion with his head and pointed to the various exits. He was trying to communicate he'd take her wherever she needed to go next. Getting an idea, he fished the little coin purse she'd been carrying, out of his shirt pocket and held it up for her to see, then pointed again. Surely she'd been out shopping and hadn't purchased anything yet. He hoped she wouldn't misunderstand his gestures... people did that from time to time.

A soft giggled happily escaped the young pokemon's mandibles as Aggro carefully patted her head with his rough hands. It was so strange to have such large rough hands be so gentle. She would have though surly tat he would crush her with the strength and power his body held in it.
It was not hard for Mariette to get comfortable on his shoulder again and she leaned forward up there now, with the mistletoe bobbing between then she lifted up and gave a gave his cheek a soft little n** that was the closest thing to a kiss she could give. "Thank you for all this!"
When he pulled out the coin pouch she sighed a bit and looked at it. "He said he had a meeting with a close friend and I should go and find something to do until they are done. Do y..you know something I can do to stay busy for a f...few hours?" She asked. "M..maybe I can come wi..with you?" She asked gently looking down at the money pouch again with her dark eyes. Though of course she might have still been looking at him though the angel of her head hinted she was looking away from him. Surely Carwyn would not mind her spending her time with her new friend.

A little embarrassed about getting kissed, Aggro rubbed the back of his head absently with a hand. He was a bit overwhelmed by the sweetness of the little spider. Were all Bug-type Pokemon so affectionate? Truly, Mariette reminded him a lot of Carwyn, his love. He wasn't sure entirely why and also wasn't sure if this was a good or bad thing. ...but how could it be bad?
Seeing as she was just needing to kill time, Aggro saw no harm in her joining him. Carwyn wouldn't mind either, he was positive. So, he nodded to Mariette's question about going with him and started off in the direction of Carwyn's club. He was going to be meeting him at I Choose You, to go over plans for the garden area and what kind of statues the love Drapion was looking for. He had a feeling that Mariette wouldn't mind looking at the place either. It wouldn't take them much time to get there. Thankfully, Aggro knew the way.
