(Open to any in the Dragon herd, primary purpose to have Tiamat and Tanith spend some time together. :3) To be a mother was a blessing, sometimes it was also a curse. She had enjoyed mothering Parvati, just the one to give her entire attention to unfortunately her wilful little daughter had no such interest in spending time with her mother. It saddened Tiamat but she knew it showed an independence that she should be proud of, and as she had grew she felt less and less needed. Parvati was now an adult, running her own life and Tia had been thankful when Tanith had foaled 5 little drakklings. Such bundles of joy! But most certainly a handful, Tanith was a great mother, and Kinael a wonderful father but the Elder had found herself drawn to helping out. Whenever she could to spend time with the family or to talk with the foals.
Now the foals where teens and time was freeing up once again, giving the two female dragons time to themselves... But Tia wasn't fond of spending time by herself, it lead to thinking of Marek and dwelling on her feelings for him. Not productive. She had to stay stable for him, for the herd there was no time to be spend thinking of the what-ifs and past!
It was on this day, mid morning that she found herself within the flights territory, a huge secluded cavern tucked in a mountain by a good length of tunnels. The yearlings come and went, as did most of the herd as she sat sharing the company of Tanith, not entirely feeling the need to be productive but knowing they would have to find food for the midday feast at some point. Letting out a sigh she smiled as Oribelle beat her wings to take a practise flight around the vast space around them "They grow ever so fast don't they?" she'd turned her scaled head to address the other female.

Tanith watched her daughter as she worked on flying in the area, smiling softly as she remembered her own beginning to flying. It had been such an incredible feeling for the dragon and she would always remember it. A small sadness came into her eyes as she knew her little ones were growing, but she also was happy that her and Kinael had five wonderful children. When the queen's voice reached her hearing, she turned to her and nodded her head in reply. " Yes, they certainly seem to sprout like little weeds. It feels like just yesterday that I had my little ones and they were clinging to me and their father for protection. Now they are learning things and starting to really explore the world around us. Part of me is sad because they will need us less, but part is happy because they really are amazing,"Tanith replied, the pride in her voice unmistakable.

Tia nodded her head "They grow more and more every day and gain their independence, it should make us proud and as such it does. But we also know with every passing day they need us less." Sighing she flicked her wings then lay them to her back, curling her tail around her. "If I am honest... It was very difficult to accept Parvati's independence and acknowledge her becoming a very competent Darastrixi. Leaves a void of time, tell me what are your plans as they require less of your time?"
She asked out of curiosity, as the idea of more growing up and her time returning worried her. How long would these short distracted work? Was it far fetched to wish the herd to have drakklings all moon cycle round? Yes... she knew this, but what else could she immerse herself in, the flight did need new members.. there was hunting... she felt like sighing she needed a hobby but nothing came to mind.

Tanith was glad the other understood her mixed emotions, ones she could not seem to help. It just seemed like she was proud, but also felt like she didn't know where her life was heading now. She stretched her wings, watching Kieran practicing with his own wings, like he did not wish for his sister to outdo him. When Tia asked her question, she had to admit, she did not have any idea what she was going to do.
"I am not really sure what we will do with all of this extra time. I assume my mate will get to fill his time helping his cousin, when he is not with me. While he is doing that, I haven't really thought of what I am going to be doing,"Tanith confessed.

It was almost a relief to hear she wasn't the only one at a loss with what to do now. Before Parvati and this world she seemed to always be immersed in some task or another but here things where calm and nothing compared to being a mother. Looking at the two teens she nodded, enough of this dwelling and feeling sorry for themselves when they should be enjoying the emotions! They had wings now the teens where beginning to use theirs what better time to exercise theirs?
"I think perhaps today is a fine day to flex our wings, let the wind slide off our scales" Also flight had always served as good therapy for Tiamat, clear minds in clear skies. "Whilst the males discuss Flight agenda, I propose enjoying the very thing, perhaps we shall even come across new recruits and your teens are welcome to join."
Oribelle was taking a few trots before extending her wings, the slight breeze in the cavern buffering but not entirely enough to help the yearling take flight. Her ears perked as she overheard the adults discuss flight, very eager at the idea she looked to Kieran with a grin, with a good gust of wind she knew she'd take off before him.

Tanith listened to the suggestion of the other, before a small smile started to form. She thought of flying in the beauty and she nodded her head excitedly, thinking it was a wonderful idea.
"Yes, let us go out flying, get some exercise and excitement. We certainly cannot stay here all day and mope, doesn't do us any good. Also, something tells me the kids would not mind a trip, might give them some practice,"Tanith agreed.
Kieran saw the look in his sister's eyes and he shook his head, he was certainly not going to let her beat him. He was going to fly before her, he just had to, to impress his parents. He flexed his wings and judged the area, thinking of what would help him achieve his goal.

Rising up onto her feet Tia nodded "We shall walk the tunnels to allow them to follow." With a look at the teens she smiled before turning to start up towards the base of the mountain where the tunnels would loose many unwanted guests but for them was a well memorised route.
Space, yes! As the adults made the decision Oribelle contained her excitement as she waiting a brief moment to give her brother another quick grin then she followed.

Tanith got back to her own feet and then followed behind Tia, looking back to see if her children were following. She caught the looks in their eyes and she couldn't help but give a soft chuckle.
"It seems my young are having a competition, at least a silent one. They both seem to have that spark in their eyes, one I am sure you remember,"Tanith chuckled.
Kieran followed after his mother and the queen, looking over to his sister with a grin of his own. If his sister thought she was going to beat him with flight, she had another thing coming. He would be the first one to fly, even if he was the youngest.

Smiling Tia looked back briefly as the entered the tunnels before looking straight back ahead, she remembered the look all right. Though her own experience had been from the other dragons of the flight, she was a litter of one not uncommon for the home world. She had been an only child, but there had been a number of others around her age, as was the size of the flight back then.
"I would not wish to take such wagers as to which will take flight first, that is certain." Looking to Tanith she chuckled, her having five had been wonderful and a new experience, until then she hadn't even known it possible to carry and deliver so many! For that she had respect for the other dragoness, regardless of placement in the herd perhaps that was another reason she found herself 'helping out' so often? No it really wasn't a reflection on Taniths mothering skills, definitely on Tia having her own grown up.

Tanith laughed lightly at Tia's words, nodding her own head in agreement about that.
"No, I do not wish to bet on which of them will fly first. I have a feeling I am going to have to console one of them soon, considering when I was their age, I was the last one to learn to fly of the ones my own age. I felt it was a very bad thing and felt so embarrassed. My mother gave me such wonderful advice, that I did not realize how wise those words were until later. She told me not to give up, sometimes those who are late are the best at what they wanted to do, in my case, flying,"Tanith recalled with a bright smile.

"That is a very wise story, one I have no doubt you'll be sharing with your litter before the sun sets." She smiled to Tanith "And you fly strong and fast now? A beautiful example for the young." Tia had a feeling this was a good point to share something of her past but beyond the flight and Marek her memories where hazy. An elephant may never forget but a dragon lives for so long...
"I don't recall being first... or last, simply that it was a race for so many. I was content to do things as I was intended, Oh and Mishaelion was most definitely flying before I." She chuckled, she'd always looked up to him despite their vastly different ranks in the flight they where about the same age weren't they?

Tanith nodded her head, she was a wonderful flyer now, probably one of the best of their herd. She loved being able to fly, see a view of the world that many only dreamed of seeing.
"Yes, I believe I am probably one of the best fliers our herd has, so I am glad I never gave up back then. And somehow it does not surprise me that Mishaelion could fly before many. There is a reason he is our leader, right?"Tanith smiled brightly. She looked back at her children, wondering what was going on in their minds right now.

"Many reasons indeed." She mused, her tone fought to stay neutral and consistent but she had so many feelings for him it was truly becoming difficult to keep them suppressed. However she had to stay professional about him, they led the heard together and though it was no secret they where friends and shared a daughter it would do no good to rouse other suspicions.
"Ahh I am glad to hear it, and I look forward to seeing our best flier in action." She looked to Tanith with a grin, was she baiting? She suppose she was a little, it was a might big claim to say such a thing but she would find out soon enough of her companions skills in flight.
Keeping a respectful distance behind the adults she wasn't exactly trying to hide from them but she wasn't trying to appear too eager and intrusive. Though she hadn't been outside the flights territory many times she knew they where nearing the end of the tunnel system. Looking to her brother she grinned it was almost time, to get out in the big world, and she knew there would be a good breeze perhaps even wind to assist her in beating him to the skies!

Tanith smiled softly at what Tia said, knowing the other was right, there were many reasons their leaders had been chosen. When she heard Tia seeming to be challenging her, the mild-mannered dragoness grinned. She would accept that challenge, itching to spread her wings as she knew they got closer to the end of the tunnels.
"Well, let us hope that I do not disappoint you then, my queen. I suppose I am just going to have to do a wonderful job out there, so I do not look like a fool,"Tanith chuckled.
Kieran was walking quietly behind his mother and the queen, itching to fly. He caught his sister's look and he returned the grin. If Oribelle thought she was going to beat him flying, she had another thing coming.

The queens wings where starting to itch too, she had no desire to prove her own skills more simply just to be up in the skies feeling the breeze on her fact and mental freedom it would hopefully bring. It still seemed like only yesterday she was a normal dragon back in her and Mareks world and now she was a queen indeed, something she could never of even dreamed of!
"As I'm sure you shall, ah." They had come to the tunnels exit, the base of the mountain still a distance to go but it was a small one. Entirely worth it to give the young dragons the space to practise even though the two adults could easily take off and maneuver where they were. "Not long now, ode to feel the wind brush against our scales." She mused, giving voice to her and she was sure the teens desires.
