This is an AIM rp between Izefiah, Neela, and Zachary.
PostPosted: Sat Jan 26, 2013 12:18 am

Kaitaia: It had been a long time. So so long. Izefiah was ashamed of himself, really. He'd just up and disappeared without telling anyone, without telling her. Of all the people, he should've told her. She was his best friend, no she was more than that. He'd begun to see it now. All this time he'd been so concerned about doing what his father wished, he'd pushed his feelings for her aside. It was time now to admit them. She deserved to know.
He searched for her for days, and still couldn't find her. It'd been so long, so of course it wasn't strange that she no longer hung out in her regular haunts. She'd probably long since moved on with her life. Still though, he had to see her. He missed her so much.

vollyballrocks91: Neela was trying to make the best of the freezing weather lately. She'd hoped for snow but alas all she got was fog and.. More cold. Zachary was out looking for some decent food to eat and she'd gone in search in the opposite direction. She tried to stay positive but there really wasn't much that survived in this cold. Steam streaming out from her nostrils filled the air as she surveyed the area. Pouting at not finding anything, she dived into ripping up grass for the meal of the day.

Kaitaia: Izefiah had just about given up. He'd never find her now. Cursing himself for ever listening to his stupid pig-headed father, he wandered down a path, kicking stones as he went. He was such an idiot, such a god damn idiot. He never should have left.

vollyballrocks91: She could hear some hooves shuffling and kicking not too far away and figured Zach had found something delicious and came to find her. Hardly able to contain her excitement about eating something other than grass, she bounded like a deer toward the sound and around some trees. "I hope you found apples because I'm starv-" She skidded to a halt and her jaw dropped at who stood in front of her. She had to be dreaming. Hallucinating.

Kaitaia: Izefiah heard someone coming toward him, and he slowed to a halt, lifting his dejected head. When he saw who it was however, a look of absolute joy crossed his face. "Neela!"

vollyballrocks91: For the longest time she thought her tongue had frozen or her mouth broke. She couldn't speak and didn't know what to say to the person standing before her. All that came out was a whisper, "Izzy.."

Kaitaia: "Oh, Neela, I've missed you!" Iz pranced over to her in a foal like manner, nosing at her and rubbing against her affectionately.

vollyballrocks91: She still didn't move. "You're here.. Why are you here? I don't understand."

Kaitaia: "I've been looking for you. God, Neela, you're hard to find these days." Iz grinned, not catching on that she didn't seem happy to see him quite yet.

vollyballrocks91: "Why? I thought you were gone.. For good. I mean you just left I didn't know what happened. I really didn't think I'd ever see you again. But here you are like nothing's changed." She paused to look and study his face. "Where did you go, Izzy? Why didn't you tell me?"

Kaitaia: He paused his prancing then, ducking his head as his shame came back to him. "I should have told you... Father made me leave. I didn't want to, Neela. I didn't think I'd be gone as long as I was. I'm so sorry."

vollyballrocks91: "Ah yes your loving father who has every best interest for you," her voice practically oozed sarcasm. She'd gotten a little more spunky in the time he'd been gone. "When are you gonna stand up to him? I'd personally like to give him a piece of my mind. And a hoof while I'm at it."

Kaitaia: He smiled a bit at that. "I have, Neela. I told him I was going to be with whomever I wanted to be with." He nudged her gently. "I told him I didn't care about his stupid elitist ways. I'm tired of him making me feel bad for the people I care about."

vollyballrocks91: She snorted and would most definitely have her hands on her hips if she could. "We'll I guess that's something then. Better late than never. Did you get a picture of his face? I'd enjoy that"

Kaitaia: He grinned. "I wish I could have," he said, nipping her ears affectionately. "I wish you had seen. It was quite a sight."

vollyballrocks91: "I bet." She leaned lightly on his shoulder, letting herself believe for just a little bit that he was back. He was real and here and just the same as he had been. "I wish I had known.. Maybe I could have found you."

Kaitaia: Iz let her, quite enjoying her familiar weight. He was so glad he'd found her. Immeasurably happy.
"I should have told you. I'm sorry. Oh Neela, there's so many things I should have told you!" He straightened up and turned so he could see her better. "So I'm going to tell you now. Neela, I love you. I never should have let my father get in the way of that."

vollyballrocks91: And again Neela found herself stunned to silence. She cleared her throat hopefully to get her voice to work again. "What do you mean exactly? Like.. I mean I love you too cause you've been my best friend since I was little.."

Kaitaia: Iz danced around her, an expression of delight on his face. It felt so good to finally get this out and say it out loud. "I love you! Oh, I've loved you for a long time, but thought I would never be able to admit it. I don't want to be with anyone else. I don't care if you don't have wings. It means nothing to me."

vollyballrocks91: Neela had to back away from him and it broke her heart to hear him like this. She'd waited so long to hear and now all of it just hurt. "Izzy.. I can't. I can't .. Be with you like that."

Kaitaia: He stopped dancing about and turned to look at her, a confused expression on his face. "You...you don't feel the same?" He was certain when he thought about it, that she returned his feelings. His ears slumped and he looked crestfallen.

vollyballrocks91: "Izzy." She moved closer to him. "I did, of course I did. But you disappeared. I thought for sure you had taken me out of your life. Your father had gotten to you again or that you just didn't want to see me anymore. I waited for you to come back, Izzy, and you didn't. I was so upset I'd lost my best friend, but I found someone who made me smile again. I found someone who accepted me and I've already made a promise to him."

Kaitaia: "Oh. Oh." A look of horror crossed Iz's face, but was quickly replaced with one of sadness. That had been the last thing he'd expected her to say, but he honestly couldn't blame her. He had been gone so long...
Tears stung his eyes, but he refused to let her see. Thankful for the mask adorned on his face, he shook his head and looked away. "That's--that's good," he said, his voice cracking a bit. "I'm happy for you."

vollyballrocks91: "No you're not, Izzy, and I'm sorry. Why would I wait for someone I thought hated me? If I had known.." She shook her head. "We can't change the past but I do still care about you and would still like you in my life. But I understand if you don't want to.."

Kaitaia: "No, Neela, I am. I'm glad you're happy. It's just..." He sighed, flicking his tail in agitation. "I wish it were me. I'm such a fool. I never should have let my father come between us."
He huffed, his bangs blowing up out of his face. "I could never hate you, Neela. Never. I left because he told me I had to find a mate, a proper mate. I wanted to make him proud so desperately..."
"Oh, I'm such a damn fool!"

vollyballrocks91: She didn't know what to do, and hated that he was so upset. "What do you want me to do, Iz?"

Kaitaia: He paused and looked at her. "I want you to come away with me," he said honestly. He knew she wouldn't go, but that's all he wanted.
"Just tell me he makes you happy."

vollyballrocks91: Her ears tipped back and she hated herself. For not being able to go with him and make him happy but also for even thinking about going when Zachary was waiting for her. "Of course he does. You did too when you were here."

Kaitaia: He gave her a small little smile and moved close again to nuzzle her gently. "Then I'm happy for you. I missed my chance, I understand. I just want you to be happy."

vollyballrocks91: She nosed at him when he came back to her. "What about you? Are you going to leave again?"

Kaitaia: "No, of course not. I can't live without you in my life." He gave her a sad smile.

vollyballrocks91: She launched into and snuggled her face into his neck. "I don't want you to leave again. You'll always be my best friend, Izzy."

Kaitaia: Even though it hurt, Iz let her. He loved her too much to see her get hurt. "Then I'm not going anywhere," he said firmly.

vollyballrocks91: She looked at him to catch his gaze, "Are you going to be okay with it though? As much as I want you here that's selfish of me if it upsets you."

Kaitaia: "I'm going to be just fine," he told her, nipping her hair and giving it a gentle hug. "Don't worry about me."

vollyballrocks91: "I'll always worry about you. I am proud of you though, for standing up to your father. "

Kaitaia: "Fat lot of good it did me," he chuckled softly. "Too little, too late."
"Still though. I won't let him dictate my life again."

vollyballrocks91: "Stop that, I think it needed to happen anyway. It's like you're a free bird now."

Kaitaia: "A free bird with broken wings." Iz sighed. He hardly knew any one other than Neela. How could he ever find anyone to make him feel like she did?

vollyballrocks91: "Izzy please don't. I feel horrible as it is I don't want you to let this ruin you. Come on let's go for a walk." She gave him a nudge and grabbed a piece of his hair to pull him along.

Kaitaia: He let her pull him, trying his best not to be miserable. He wouldn't let this make him like his father. "I meant my lack of flying skills, Neela."

vollyballrocks91: "Sure you did. I'll headbutt you if I have to"

Kaitaia: He laughed softly at that and let her pull him along.

Thalea: Zachary looked at his pile of berries, and with a nod of his head considered them a sufficient amount. He looked around the small camp, where was Neela? Her hoof prints led off to the south, “Neela?” He called before he set off to find the mare he loved.

Vollyballrocks91: Neela was busy still trying to lead Izzy around and get him to stop being a grump because his mood affected her too. She knew it wasn't an easy thing to ask to just be happy all of a sudden but she didn't know what else to do about him. Then the familiar white shape came into view not too far off and she held herself together not to do a little leap at seeing him. Looking back at her friend, her head tilted. "I assume you'll be nice?"

Kaitaia: Iz slunk along after her. He was trying, really he was. But it was so hard. He'd poured his heart out to her, only to have it broken. Not that it was Neela's fault, it really wasn't. It was his own, and partly his father's. But still, it hurt.

He looked up when she spoke and spotted the stallion. "Of course..."

Thalea: His eyes widened when he saw two figures standing before him, he recognized Neela, but the stallion was not one he knew of. He cocked his head to the side; he does not appear to be her father, so perhaps a friend? A large smile formed on Zachary’s face, “Hello there.”

Vollyballrocks91: Neela returned the smile and nudged at Zachary's nose, but stayed beside Izzy because she knew he was hurting. "Zachary this is Izefiah, my best friend I may have told you about a while back. Izzy, this is Zach."

Thalea: Izafiah, the stallion’s name was familiar to Zach and he remembered the story Neela had told him a while back, from the way she told the story, Izzy seemed to be more than just her best friend. Zachary smiled at the winged stallion, “Hello Izefiah, it is very nice to meet you. I have heard much about you.”

Kaitaia: As the stallion got closer, Izefiah felt as if the world was closing in on him. He didn't want to meet him. He didn't want to think about him being with Neela, his Neela.

No, she wasn't his Neela anymore. She never had been. He did his best to smile at Zachary, and tried not to scowl when Neela went to nuzzle him. He was handsome, very handsome. And normal. So normal. He made Iz feel small and hideous. Of course Neela would choose him over Iz.

"It's nice to meet you too," he said, his voice small and quiet.
