My computers fail the graphics card test every ******** time. If you can, are you able to adjust the graphics settings? What windows version do you have? for me to get good graphics in age of empires i have to right click my task bar, go to processes, right click explorer.exe, end the task then alt+tab back into the game, and bam, it's fixed. Try workarounds before expensive upgrades.

๑I don't really want any expensive super HD stuff. Just a little bump above from what I have. I run on Vista lol ..SP2 I dunno how to adjust graphic settings though D: On the game, there's only options for shadows and stuff :< I've tried making the game run on a lower quality and lower RAM usage, but that only seemed to make a tiny difference. Hardly any :cEDIT: just tried ending explorer.exe, no luck :c

No music players, no programs that run in the background, no messengers. sometimes that makes the difference. It's also difficult to upgrade integrated anything, if not impossible. Another thing you can do is go to your control panel, find your device manager, and find your graphics card, right click, and update drivers.

I know I don't run anything in the background :< My computer has slots for upgrades though: (1/1) PCI-E x16 (2/2) PCI-E x1 (0/1) PCI ^according to the newegg information. (Same comp, nothing's changed.) But even so, would that make a difference? D:

๑That works.. just found a 500w power supply. Would that work? Also how do I go about installing this? Just plug and go? lol EDIT: Also, would I have to get a new motherboard since the one I have has an integrated chip in it? Or will this motherboard work with a plugged-in graphics card?

Should be plug and play. Usually comes with installation disk, you pop the back/side of the computer off, slide the card into the slot that it will fit in, pop the computer back together, run the installation disk and plug your monitor into the new slot, and it should just work like that. I've done it on my old 4gig computer, it had like... 3 different graphics cards >___>

If not, you've got a nice little upgrade anyway, and other games you play could run better, also. But that's the minimum recommended graphics card, so it should.
