Tecciztecatl sighed.
He wasn’t having fun anymore. He missed the times when he could have fun… Honestly, the days that he was a foal. Sighing, the stallion shook his head slowly, causing his hair to shift in front of his mane. He was going nuts… His mother and father didn’t understand, no one in the herd did. He watched them quietly as they seemed to sleep. He wasn’t… He wasn’t happy right now. He needed a purpose, a reason. The shadow figure shifted along his leg, before lifting slowly until his head was next to Tecciztecatl’s ear. Quetzalli smirked lightly, nearly pressing his lips to Tecciztecatl’s ear. ”Don’t worry, Tecciztecatl. I’ll always be your friend.” The shadow figure whispered, his voice a soft hiss. Tecciztecatl blinked, his ears perking a bit, before he tilted his head to stare toward the shadow figure. He tilted his head some, shaking it toward the figure, before starting forward. Quetzalli shifted, forming back along Tecciztecatl’s leg, but left his head out, humming a bit, chuckling every now and then.
The small pixiecorn shifted easily through the woods. He had left his herdlands. And he wasn’t sure what he was doing. He was just walking, his hooves practically dragging. His ears pinned slightly, the small pixie wings on his rump and head fluttered a bit, trying to settle, before they stood upright. He needed to figure out what he was doing. Where he was going… The stallion blinked, his eyes flickering, before he paused, looking around for several moments, before he moved forward again, tail giving a half flick. He sighed, glancing around for several moments before he took a deep breath.
Tecciztecatl lifted his eyes, staring toward the darkening sky. He frowned for a moment, before frowning. The stallion surged forward, his head ducked down, long horn cutting through the air easily. He easily wove his way around and between trees, his heart beating quickly in his chest. His eyes were closed, his body moving in a way h wasn’t sure he had possible. He ducked under a bush, his horn catching on a tree for a moment, before he shook it lose and weaved his way through the trees. It wasn’t until he was out of breath did the stallions slow, before starting at a trot, and then finally just walked, his breath coming out quickly, his body aching.
What was he running from?
Tecciztecatl frowned, his ear flicking up some. It took him a moment, before he heard the familiar whisper in his ear. ”From them. They can’t make you happy. You know they can’t. What are they but a bunch of horses, gathered in an area, trying to form a family that will never work.” The small male frowned, his head snapping to the side to send a small glare at his shadow companion, before he sighed, and trudged forward, head hanging lowly.
