Name: Tidwain
Age: 18
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Craft: Tanner
Rank: Senior Apprentice
Location: Monaco Weyr

Physical Description: There isn't very much remarkable about the young man at this point in his age being slightly below average in height (5'11") and a slight weight problem on his oval frame. His face is oblong with high cheekbones, a roman nose, and blonde hair that has been lightened with the sun and his work. His eyes are probably the most startling of all his features simply because of how light of a blue they are with his darkly tanned skin.

Personality: Tidwain is a very solidarity young man. He prefers it that way; prefers burying himself in his craft. It's not that he is shy around others, it's that he is more introverted and chooses his company selectively. And those few have earned a strong loyalty from him. But due to his solitary ways, he doesn't converse much, or even very well, towards others. He tends to come off rather coarse or even cold since he passes judgement after first impression.

He also has trouble expressing his own emotions because he fears revealing too much of himself and appearing vulnerable. He is mildly insecure about himself and often worries about being a disappointment to those he cherishes. Those select few are privy to the off chance of his expressed feelings through simple gestures. But it also means that he won't be driven by his feelings alone and puts thought behind most of his actions. Nothing he says or does is without a reason.

Strengths: Loyal to few, hardworking, observant, reliable, dedicated, realistic, helpful
Weaknesses: Crowds, lacks self-expression, uncivil, critical, judgmental, reserved, introverted

History: Tidwain is the first born and only son out of six siblings sired by his father at Monaco Weyr. Being the only boy was a bit difficult since the way he was raised was different from his five sisters. There was so much expectation for him from his father and mothers to impress a bronze or reach Mastercraft. With so much resting on his shoulders, he rarely spoke up about his own wishes, not that he had any, and feelings. And having five other siblings made him appreciate his solitude more, even though he loves his family and would protect them from anything, so he had very few friends.

There was one girl who stood out from all the rest. This girl, Drema, was very persistent on gaining Tidwain's friendship. It was exasperating to him. He couldn't understand what it was about him that made her want to talk with him. But her constant companionship as they were grew eroded away his resistance and he considered her to be his most cherished friend.

When he was old enough to take up a craft, he decided to help his home by picking the Tannercraft. He enjoyed working on dragon harnesses the most, but was content to work on just about any order his master gave him from boots to clothes to small journals.

At 14 turns, Yansanth took her maiden flight while his dear friend Drema had been home for a visit. Like any gold flight, his emotions leaked through with action and he found himself entangled with her. His feelings for her had grown since her absence with her craft and spilled forth unhindered. At the sight of her embarrassment, he asked straight-forth for their relationship to continue on the more serious route since she was treasured so much by him.

Two turns later, Thread fell from the skies once again. He made sure his siblings and parents were secure in their father's home. And so they waited out as it devoured the unlucky. The fear of its return settled in his heart and he put more effort into his work than ever before. Dragons would need to fight thread and they would need gear to carry their riders into the fray.
So when the rogues invaded the weyr, he took it as the blessing his sister, Tidria, called it to be. While she might be a bit naive about others most of the time, if they knew how to flame, it was more than enough to make him be one of their supporters so long as it kept his family safe. But he kept his neutrality about them, giving no opinion either way in their conduct.
But thread didn't fall again for two complete turns and still their queen and weyrwoman remained under close scrutiny and lock-down. He did not approve of the method. Nope, not at all. And it certainly seemed a bit dodgy to keep a gold by over-medicating her rider. Those that patrolled outside of the weyrwoman's chamber, he instantly disliked--though he made sure not to openly express it. But he didn't hold this grudge towards all rogues and judged them individually.

Personality: Tidwain is a very solidarity young man. He prefers it that way; prefers burying himself in his craft and interacting with few. And those few have earned a strong loyalty from him. But due to his solitary ways, he doesn't converse much, or even very well, towards others. He tends to come off rather coarse or even cold since he is inadequate at picking up those common, well-known, social cues.
He also has trouble expressing his own emotions because he fears revealing too much of himself and appearing vulnerable. Those select few are privy to the off chance of his expressed feelings through simple gestures. But it also means that he won't be driven by his feelings alone and puts thought behind most of his actions.
Strengths: Loyal to few, little emotional entanglement, reserved
Weaknesses: Crowds, lacks self-expression, uncivil
