After hearing just exactly what Ohtli had…done…with that stranger lion just caused Otea’s fur to bristle. She shook her head. How could her friend be that…that…stupid. He obviously just wanted one thing, and there was Ohtli, ready to give it to her.
Hopefully she didn’t turn out pregnant. She didn’t know if her friend was of the soundest mine to take care of cubs.
Otea sighed, approaching the waterhole. It seemed her life was beginning to fall apart. Her son left a few days ago, who knew where he was. Her friend…off gallivanting with the strange rogue…and her all by her lonesome here.
Whatever happened to the young Otea she use to know. Otea would have liked to find her.

Knox knew what it was like to be alone. His sister was missing, and he wasn't quite sure if she would be returning. He frowned. He hadn't wanted her gone, even if he hadn't particularly liked her antagonizing him. The male walked closer to the water, lowering his head to lap at the water. It was a pleasant day, but he was too distracted to care. He wondered how safe Illyeria would be, with strangers like that heathen wandering about. If he had hurt her, he would have hell to pay.. But the small, brief visions he had been having.. He had a feeling she was okay.

Well at least she wasn’t by her lonesome now. The lion she had met the other day was approaching. Smiling a bit to herself, the lioness called over to Knox.
“Hello there, stranger.” She mused, smirking.
Otea was fine when it came pride members. She figured if the King accepted them into the pride, or if they were born in, they were okay. Sometimes her logic might not have been the best.

When the voice pierced his thoughts, he was forced to stop his worrying. His eyes met with the pretty friend he had made a few days before. She hadn't liked the stranger anymore than he had, and they had found a common bond in that. He smiled a little. She was pretty, and he had this feeling that he knew who she was. He couldn't remember any of his visions, which was probably why he wrote them off as nightmares or dreams most times. But he had swore he had seen her face outside of their last meeting.
"Why, hello there." He said, voice smooth as he approached. He wasn't a large lion, but he wasn't small either. He had a pretty average frame for most males.
"Why are you out here alone? Where's your friend?" He asked, meaning the darker lioness that had been smitten with the ruffian.

“Ohtli?” Otea questioned.
She was still mad at her friend. She couldn’t be forever, but for now she would be.
The lioness shrugged at his question. Where she was at Otea didn’t know. She knew she wasn’t with the stranger anymore. After their…night together, Ohtli said he had left. It didn’t seem to bother the dark lioness as much as it bothered her pale friend. Otea sighed, hopefully her friend would learn… There was only way to do so sometimes.
“Hopefully not off with scallywags.” She stated grumpily. Knox might get the point of what she was referring too..

"Yes, that's right. My apologies for forgetting." He said with a shake of his head. He knew it was rude to forget names, and manners had always been something his parents had -tried- to instill in him. He had manners when he wanted, but he was also quite capable of forgetting them when he wanted as well.
"How have you been since then?" He asked, looking at her, his eyes shimmering like the sky. He was curious about her, but he wasn't quite sure why.
Knox got what she meant when she said scallywags. He knew exactly of whom she referred, and he had promised himself one thing. If he saw that ruffian again, he would fight him. He may lose, but he would still fight.

“I don’t mind. And I’m sure if she heard you forgot her name, she wouldn’t either. She forgets a lot of things,” wasn’t that the truth.
“Nah, I got here this morning. I had an argument with my son and…it didn’t end well.” She stated, frowning. Who was she to kid, her kids weren’t so little anymore. She couldn’t protect them if they didn’t want to be protected. Another sigh left her maw. She hated the fight her and Soren had, but it happened, and there was no changing the past.
“Look at me, explaining my homelife. I’m sure you don’t want to hear about that,” she chuckled lightly.

"Son?" He asked. He hadn't realized she had children, nor that she was actually old enough to have them. She certainly looked incredibly young. He smiled at her, and shook his head.
"No, no it's fine. I really like learning about others if I'm in the mood for it. Thankfully you caught me on one of those days." He said with a little chuckle himself. Why was he being so friendly? He was never this friendly. It came so naturally right now, he supposed he was just in an amazingly good mood, but it hadn't been like that before seeing her.

She nodded. She had a litter of six healthy cubs, although they were old enough to leave the home, only Soren stayed around. Well, he had. She wasn’t sure if he would return. She too, had a litter with a ‘ruffian’. If Otea knew who exactly Al-hattal was, then maybe her opinion of rogues would change a bit.
Otea smiled a bit at Knox. “If he comes back, you should meet him. His father wasn’t in his life, so having an adult male figure in his life may be good?” If the lion was up to it that was. Otea didn’t find it strange asking such a thing. This was what pride families did.

He had never thought about having cubs. He supposed it was because he was still rather young, and he hadn't needed to have the thought. He wasn't even sure how he was with cubs. He wondered if the litter she had carried were grown now, or if they were new. She didn't look as if she had given birth anytime recently, so he figured they must at least be older.
"I don't do great with new meetings, I'm told." He responded with a grin, looking down at his paws. Before his eyes met hers again.
"But I suppose I could give it a shot." He said, and walked closer to her, taking a seat beside her.

“I don’t know about that! I would say you handled yourself quite well with that rogue!” Otea applauded.
Knox seemed like such a shy guy right now, which was strange; she would never have guessed it after their first meeting.
“Great!” this seemed to perk up her mood a bit. Maybe he could help Soren see her point of view. She hoped he’d come back soon. Who knew, maybe he was there now?
“Maybe he is back home? I was just about to head back to the den, if you want to join me?” She smiled.

He wasn't going to miss out on a chance to have a bit of companionship. Not when it was as pretty as she was. He nodded, and took a few quickened steps to the water. He took a few laps, taking his fill and then looked back at her, water dripping down his chin.
"Looks like I'm done here anyway."
He smiled, and joined her side, ready to follow her back to the den. Wasn't every day he wanted to have someone around so he was going to accept it while it lasted.
