A Chance to Help Winter has come to Watership Down and it is a tough time, indeed.
Flay is scarce. What flay that can be found is poor at best and there is a rush to nourish the does who were silly or young enough to think kitting in the cold months was wise. Snow and frost covers the down and even bark is scarce. Many are having to venture further and further from the safety and warmth of their burrows to find a bite to eat and only those who were keen enough to pack away food stores for the winter in their own burrows, but even they are running low and having to ration their dried flay.
Much of the down is miserable and squabbling between members isn't unusual. Many aren't sure just how they will make it through this rough winter and whispers of the Black Rabbit are drifting about the runs. Equally, there are rumors of strangers - but you know the truth.

Welcome!
For this particular contest, you will be entering for a doe who was born and raised in Watership Down - she is a turncoat, a spy, and she most likely isn't the only one. You are one of the first few rabbits who have met with the hlessi and you are swayed. They have enough food and water to support themselves and Watership Down does not. Instead of heading immediately to their warren, you have taken on a large and risky task.
You are remaining on the down. You are spreading the word. You are going to try and help out as many of your former warren mates as you can, but whether that is because you genuinely want to help or because you want the glory it will bring you in your new home is up to you.
PLEASE READ ALL THE BACKSTORY AND INFO ON THIS NEW WARREN BEFORE PARTICIPATING!

o1. Yes - you were born and raised in Watership Down.
o2. This doe is a rehome and her original name was Misty. You can keep it or change it.
o3. You can create whatever sort of backstory you fancy for her, so long as you stick to the very first rule.
o4. You may edit your entry up until the closing date.
o5. Be aware that this doe CAN DIE. If she is found out a fight might break out. There also may be unforseen dangers. The meta will become more dangerous in it's later stages and a large warning will be posted before then.
o6. PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE NEW WARREN. There's a lot, and it's very different from Watership.

Rabbit's name: Quicksilver
Personality:
Quick is a quiet one, always keeping to herself in the warren. And in her quietness, she tends to brood. She has few friends since she hardly ever speaks. Some chalk it up to being shy, others see her as a snob. She especially shies away from the bucks of the warren, and has turned away any advances with quiet mutterings. Needless to say, many rabbits find her a bit odd, and simply leave her alone. About the only time she's seen around others is during silflay. Other than that, she'll spend a lot of time hiding in her burrow or wandering around on the down by herself when its relatively safe.
Backstory:
Born in the Watership Down warren, Quicksilver didn't have the best start. Her father was a strict brute who valued sons over daughters. She was the only doe born in a litter of bucks. She was often snubbed by her father and brothers, and could only look to her mother for comfort and support. Despite it all, she tried to win their favor. When she and her brothers were outskirters, they were playing on the Down and wandered away from the burrows. She followed them, pleading to join in on their play, which they refused. They pushed her away, and sadly she began to leave. However, a stray dog happened to catch their scent and attacked. She could only watch in horror from the protection of a thicket as her brothers went tharn and were slaughtered before her eyes. Once the dog was gone, she quickly ran back to the warren to tell of what happened. Her father, in despair and anger, blamed her for what happened and was about to beat her when her mother stepped between them. She took the brunt of her father's anger, but Quicksilver would never forget what had happened. Its since then that she has held a resentment towards bucks, especially big brutes like her father.
How your rabbit view her original warren and the task she has taken on?:
Quicksilver doesn't hate her warren, but she doesn't like the Owsla, nor it's captain. She doesn't exactly know the chief very well, but being a buck, she steers clear of him as well along with any other male. The idea of a warren run by does greatly appeals to her, and she desperately wants to join and take as many does that feel the same along with her. Its for a better life, since the bucks in charge of her current warren aren't capable enough to provide for them.

Rabbit's name: Silver Homba
Personality: Homba is relatively cunning and deceptively sweet. A mistress of tricks and well aware of how to use her feminine charm; she can put on a number of masks, whichever one suits her current needs. Her true personality seems to be lost amongst all these different masks; though there are times when she seems to be almost playful and a caustic streak and bit of a realist nature. She never seems to use this one as a mask so perhaps this is who she really is? Regardless she fits in well with the other does, seemingly enjoying gossip and kitten rearing as much as the next nameless faceless doe in the warren.
Backstory: Homba was born to a marli who worked her whole life to be something in the warren. A marli that wanted to be seen as something more than just another doe, her parli seemed content to plod along after her and go along with whatever scheme she thought up next. As such their kittens suffered some ridicule and a touch of neglect not that you would ever know that now. It was because of this that Homba found her place in blending in. She didn’t want to stand out, or bring attention to herself. To be put on stage for everyone to see and judge, she was pleased to be just another doe. She grew up perfecting this, being so painfully normal and boring that it helped her to get what she wanted. Till it became a ‘oh it’s just Homba’ sort of mindset when she was around. No one noticed her and it left her to come and go as she pleased.
How your rabbit view her original warren and the task she has taken on?:
Homba likes Watership, though she finds it to be a bit boring, she knows all the gossip and there is no challenge anymore. While she likes being invisible she doesn’t like simply plodding along in life doing nothing. That aside Homba has a strong sense of self preservation. This new warren has food, shelter, what isn’t to love about it? Why not move over? She is amused and enjoying the task set out before her, she is aware of the danger in it and its part of what excites her about it. This is her main drive she is doing this just to see if she can just to challenge herself. Gaining mild reputation and helping out her former warren mates are just a bonus.

Personality: It's not about pride. It's not about changing the world. It's all about survival. All the world is their enemy, including each other. And she's sick and tired of all the petty infighting. Their world is crashing down and what is Downs doing about it? Bickering like kittens over a game of bobstones and who gets the best silflay!
Most of all, Liadon is practical. One could almost call her heartless, for the way she so systematically keeps her emotions under check. She seems to have sacrificed all emotions for sheer pragmatism. In truth, she's quite passionate. She loves her home. She simply refrains from expressing too many emotions, since she believes they cloud judgment. What use is pride if you're dead, after all? She has absolutely no compunctions about doing what is best for the warren, or at least what she sees as best.
'Honor' is probably not in her vocabulary except as 'something idiots use to make themselves feel better when they get someone killed'. She's certainly not afraid to get her paws dirty in her mission.

She was not born to be special. Her father was not an owsla officer, nor her mother anything of note. Liadon was just another kitten in a very long line of kits. It wasn't that her parents favored their sons over their daughters; they seemingly didn't care about any of their kittens at all beyond giving them a kick every now and then to make sure the babies were still alive.
Liadon learned early on that, if she wanted to survive, she'd have to do everything herself. She grew up to be independent and a bit distant. She learned to compartmentalize her emotions because, if a doe kicked up a fuss about anything, it was passed off as 'being in season' or some nonsense. Keeping things to herself became natural to her.
How your rabbit view her original warren and the task she has taken on?: In all honesty, she loves her warren. Yes, it has its problems, but so does everything. Mostly, she wants to keep as many of her friends and family alive as possible. That's why she's become a turncoat; she can tell that Down's method simply isn't working. There's less and less flay to go around and, look, those other rabbits are doing awfully well for themselves. They must be doing something right.
Joining them seems to be the best course of action. She really doesn't want there to be a fight over such things, not when peace is so clearly possible. When the Black Rabbit comes to the burrows, she certainly won't be there and she wants to drag out as many of her warren-mates as possible.
