[[ ** Note: Any mention of "Geostigma" is just a delusion in his head. There is no real Geostigma in the Soquili Universe.
Also, any mention of "Mother" or "Jenova" is not in terms of the Soquili that is already made. That is just another delusion of his. ]]

He felt lost. His world was going in a spiral, and nothing could stop it. Nothing was turning out as planned, and everything that could go wrong was doing so.

Yazoo was dizzy, his mind going in every which direction except the one he wished for it to go. He had been walking for days without rest; his drive to find Mother and the cure for Geostigma was drawing him to a point of sheer exhaustion. He paused by a tree, resting against it for a few quiet moments, before shaking his head slowly, trying to get his mind caught up to the moment of his life that was happening here and now. He hadn't truly focused on his own life in what felt like months; though it was probably more than that even. Breathing out a soft sigh, his breath visible on the cool night air, the stallion pushed himself away from the tree carefully, before continuing onward. His ears laid back slowly against his head, and his eyes skimmed the snow covered ground quietly. He paused for a moment, letting his hoof dig into the snow, eyes narrowing in an almost dangerous manner.

"When did the snow form..." He murmured to himself. Had he been that oblivious lately? That out of it? Shaking his head once more, causing the soft silver locks to shift along his neck, Yazoo lifted his eyes, letting them take in every sight around him. He saw the birds in the trees, chirping and brushing water off their wings from the melting snow. He saw the start of new life forming on the branches of the trees; buds starting to slowly form. So it was finally getting warmer as well? He could see the sun shining through the clouds and tree coverage, though he was certain it was going to be nightfall soon. Shaking his head slowly, the stallion sighed, before moving forward once more, heading toward a clearing up ahead. He paused once more, his eyes falling down to stare at the small lion that trotted at his side. She paused as well, peering up at him through her mask, before letting out a low growl, and surged forward, bounding as fast as she could.

The stallion frowned, his eyebrows pulling together, ears pinning. What was she getting excited about? Shaking his head slightly, Yazoo moved forward, following his feline companion. She generally didn't get excited about anything unless it had something to do with food... Yazoo started a small trot, eventually breaking through the treeline and into a small clearing. He glanced around, eyes flickering, before he spotted the lion, crouched low, ears pinned back, and tail tip twitching.

What in the world was she hunting?

The cool air caused steam to puff from the mare's nostrils as she made her way through a wooded area, searching for shelter for the night. Hisses of discontentment came from where the cobra lay, unhappy with the cold and movement. The snake had wrapped itself around its host, its body encircling hers and its head resting on her shoulder with its hood down. Gogol craned her neck to nose at the cobra, and sighed. "I know, Vir, but we can't just stay out here all night. We've got to at least find some place hidden. Remember that time the flutter saw you and feared for my life and proceeded to try to stomp on you?" The mare let out a light giggle at the hissed reaction from her comrade. "Oh, shush, you. You're fine, and the startle we gave that oaf was worth it."

Cat-like ears swiveled suddenly and the mare looked to her snake only to see it already untangling itself from her body. Gogol sniffed the air and allowed her ears to swivel more, able to hear something pouncing through the woods. How odd, she thought. Vir, as if able to hear her, hissed in agreement. The obvious feline presence caused curiosity to rise in the mare, and she examined the clearing carefully. "Very odd indeed," she murmured.

Vir's chest expanded to reveal a cream-laced hood, and he swayed in the direction of the familiar. He spat as a warning, knowing his host's distaste for him killing without it being necessary. "Oh, hello, little lion. What might you be trying to catch?" She looked at the snake and laughed a bit at him, able to feel his angst for a kill.

Shadow growled lowly, her ears pinning back slightly as she walked quietly through the grass. Her paws barely seemed to disturb the grass around her as she moved. She smelled something different, something she needed to figure out. Yazoo watched her for several moments, before shaking his head and allowing the lioness to move without disturbance. She liked to hunt, and it wasn’t his place to stop her from doing so. Shadow growled softly, before stopping herself from making noise. Right as she was about to pounce out at the odd smell that spiked her interest, she heard the voice, and was startled. She scrambled backwards slightly, snarling and slashing out with sharp claws when the mare was closer than she thought ( even though she was way out of reach of the sharp claws ). She stared up at the mare for several moments, ears pinning back slightly, tail flicking, before she let out a slight growling noise, and turned to bound back into the grasses.

The larger stallion walked forward easily. He had heard the growl, and got concerned for his only companion. No, no one could hurt Shadow Creeper. She was all the stallion had. He stepped over some of the taller grasses, weaving his way slightly, before standing still at the sight of the mare before him. Sea green eyes locked on her form, and Yazoo observed her for several moments. She was unique, to say the least. From her bright pink coloration, to the larger ears and bat like head wings ( which was odder than the angelic like wings he had seen on some four winged horses ); down to the… hissing…. Tail? Was that…? Yazoo let his eyes linger down toward the hooded snake that was attached to her body. It was..

It was a snake.

Shadow Creeper hissed slightly, before she moved quickly over to Yazoo and let her body weave along his legs, keeping herself interlocked so that she was, in a way, staking her claim on her friend. Yazoo tilted his head curiously toward the mare, who was questioning his friend. Shadow Creeper generally hunted whatever she wished. Yazoo didn’t question it or seem to really mind. After all, she always seemed satisfied when she fed off a rabbit or rat. And he was satisfied to have a few moments alone so that he could graze and think about what his life was going toward. He needed to find his family… or some real purpose; but, this wasn’t the time. There was a mare very close to him, and Yazoo wasn’t used to this. ”More than likely, miss, she smelled your quite unique scent. She tends to hunt anything that isn’t in the norm.” He stated matter-of-factly. His eyes lingered at the tail again, before he looked up toward the mares eyes easily. ”My name is Yazoo, and that is Shadow Creeper. And you are?” He asked, voice curious.
