Leonora knew that one good thing about moving into a new town was that there was a lot of new things to see, a lot of new things to explore. Her first few days she had spent most of her time either at work or at the park, but she ventured off a little further this time. She had used her phone to find places to see one day and it told her about a museum! That was something she hadn't gone to for a long time, so Leonora thought it would be a good place to explore!
She had taken a bus that stopped nearby the museum. When she got off, Leonora thanked the bus driver and made her way to the steps of the museum. The entrance was grand and it gave a sample of what was to be inside. Leonora started to smile as she started to wonder what things she'd see in there.
Slowly, she made her way through the main entrance. The entrance to the museum was free, but she had brought some change in order to add to the donation box. Leonora was happy to see places like this still existing in town, and well, she hoped it would stay that way with the whacky roller coaster called the economy.
Leonora looked around as she stepped into a larger hall. There were different signs for different parts of the museum. She was in awe and stood there, not really knowing which direction she should head in.

It was the first day off of studying he'd had in a good long while and Jakome was determined to enjoy it. He'd heard of of new exhibit at the museum and had set off early in the morning on a long excursion to reach it. Determined to keep it a surprise from himself Jakome had managed to avoid researching into it, though was certain he'd enjoy it. It was one of his favorite places to be after all.
Panting lightly from the long walk he entered into the building, waving to the ladies at the Information Desk and flashing a smile their way. He'd nearly learned all of their names and could here them giggling as he moved into the main hallway. Without fail he craned his head to stare at some of the hanging exhibits above his head.
Turning to get a better look at the large set of whale bones overhead he managed to back into somebody with quite a bit of force, sending himself to the ground, staring back up at a girl he had seemed to trip over. With a smile he rubbed an elbow, sitting up to look at her. "Sorry about that!" He called. "Hope I didn't hurt you." He sat nursing his elbow with a smile of embarrassment on his face.
What else could he do? It had been his own fault.

Leonora's staring and wonder ended when she was bumped into. She could feel herself being shoved to the side, but when she looked back to see who it was, Leonora saw a young man on the floor, rubbing his elbow. "Oh dear," she said as she hurried and then kneeled on the ground next to him. "I'm not the one that landed on the floor! Are you alright? It seems like there's something wrong with your elbow?"
She was no physical therapist, but Leonora knew that she could relieve the pain just a little bit. "Here, let me help you." Leonora gently took his arm, and her fingers gently worked the area that the guy was nursing. Slowly, she looked for the point that would relieve some of the pain and gently pressed on that area. When she felt like she had done enough, Leonora looked up and smiled. "Well, how does that feel now?"
"If it hurts later, it would be better for you to ice it. That only helps with the pain for a little while!" Leonora then stood up and then helped the guy up onto his feet. She wasn't sure if she was just standing in the way or had the guy just not have seen her, but either way, Leonora felt a little bit better that she managed to help him.

"Oh no I'm fine.." Before he could continue he felt her drop near him and place her hands on him. Jakome blinked, but smiled and nodded to her. "That's a lot better, thank you." He said politely, finally looking her in the eyes. She seemed so caring, unlike most he had run into or been run into by. In the museum he was always so distracted from people it had a habit of happening.
With her help he was picked up from the cold floor and managed to dust off his pants before looking at her again. "Thanks. Sorry about nearly running you over though. I kind of... well." Jakome glanced upward before shaking his head. "Anyways, I hope I didn't ruin your thoughts on the museum. Not everywhere here is as distracted as I am, I swear it."
She was a lot nicer than anyone else he'd bumped into accidentally, it was rather strange, but Jakome appreciated it. "So what brings you here today? Here to see the new exhibit too?" He said shifting his messenger bag back around to behind him. It was of course wishful thinking. Not many shared his love of the museum, but he was always hopeful that he'd meet someone who did someday.
Even if she wasn't, he did owe it to her since her methods had made the pain dull and tolerable.

"It's okay, really! Don't worry about it! I'm just glad that you're feeling better!" Leonora glanced around at the museum, once again perplexed on where to even begin. Everything just seemed so grand. It made Leonora want to see it all, but she didn't even know if it was possible in a day! Sure, she could skim over everything and just keep walking, but Leonora definitely felt like that defeated the purpose of a museum! "No thoughts ruined! I actually wasn't sure where to begin!"
Leonora laughed just slightly, not wanting to disrupt the crowds anymore than they both had already with the guy's fall. She could tell that some people were annoyed as is with just the bump and fall, so it would be better if they moved along and be forgotten within the crowds.
"Well, I just moved here not too long ago, so I wanted to explore the city! This was one of the places that popped up on my list!" Leonora's arms motioned to the rooms around them. "I have no idea what to look at here, really. I just came for the sake of coming! It seems like you're a regular here! Do you know what I should check out?"

Jakome laughed when she did, though it seemed a little odd coming from him. Regardless of how awkward those around them were, the two were getting along just swimmingly. There was a glint in his eyes when she mentioned he might be a regular and his posture seemed to become more rigid as he gave her a wide grin. "I consider it a home away from home." He said, looking towards the little arrows pointing in each direction.
"It's a great place to start with the city, I think anyway." Shaking his head he turned back to her. "WELL.." He said with just the slightest hint of ego behind his words. "The new exhibit just recently opened, I've no idea what it is but I heard it's only here for a short while as it's only being borrowed." He looked at her with a few blinks of his eyes.
A moment of silence passed. "Ah that was... um... Or whatever you like, I know all the shortcuts. Would you like me to show you around?"

Leonora smiled when he mentioned that the museum was his second home. She hoped that she would find somewhere to call that, but she partially knew that once her shop opened, that would be it. Some might not think that was very creative, but Leonora had a passion for her job and would always love it! "I hope to find a place like that too!"
"But for now..." She looked around the museum, but nothing changed. Leonora was still very much overwhelmed. "I think we could check out the new one since you haven't seen it yet? I'm not even sure since everything looks new to me!' She covered her mouth and laughed. "I think we could go see your all time favorite exhibit after that?"
She looked around at one that seemed to be jewelry through the ages that piqued her interest, but Leonora knew that she wouldn't see much of the rest of the museum.
"Oh yeah!" Leonora held out her hand to Jakome. "My name is Leonora, and it's very nice to meet you!"

He felt he was being too forward with his own agenda and rubbed the back of his hair in a sort of nervousness. "I'd like that a lot..." He seemed to blush suddenly. "Ah, my favorite?" Jakome thought for a moment, which one was his favorite?
Torn from his inner thought he smiled. "Nice to meet you Leonora, I'm Jakome." It was polite and he motioned a hand forward as he began to walk. "So you just moved here then?" He asked as they passed back underneath the large hanging whale overhead.
"I'm born and raised here myself so I'm not sure what outside-city life is like, though I enjoy studying about far away cultures I still don't know about it for myself." He commented, walking along at a slower pace than usual with a grin back to her. "We'll have to pass through the dinosaur exhibit to get there, hope you like it." He said.
Jakome entered the large room and stopped, admiring it as he often did. He was certain Leonora would like it - he never forgot his first time. "One of the biggest displays in the world." He commented again, standing up pridefully. This was a world he was used to and he stared on happily.
Turning back to her he nodded further in. "So what's your favorite dinosaur?"

Leonora could tell that for a moment that there was some awkwardness, but she just brushed it off, enjoying the company of a new acquaintance, possibly a new friend! "Jakome! What an interesting name! I like it!"
"Yup! My friend convinced me to start a business here with her. That's why I knew how to reduce your pain when you fell!" Leonora smiled and winked; she was quite proud of her profession and being able to help others feel better, even if it was only temporary. "I'm a massage therapist!"
She was never a bookworm in school, preferring to do things with her hands than stick her head in a book or stare at the computer browsing the internet. Leonora liked the fact that Jakome was learning new things despite not traveling. "I think that's good! Learning about things through books and stuff. It only makes sense since it's cheaper."
"I do hope that eventually you can travel to the places you learn about! That would definitely be exciting." Her words had trailed off a bit as they made her way through the dinosaur exhibit. She saw the different parts of the exhibit and held her breath just a little bit. "It's all so amazing!"
Leonora looked up at the display Jakome was pointing out. "It makes me feel so small... And favorite dinosaur... I'd have to say triceratops, I think!"

"Massage therapist?" Jakome looked at her with intrigue. Sure he'd heard of the profession and his mother went to one a few times, but it wasn't something he knew very much about. Looking at his elbow and back to her. "That's an admirable career I think, to want to heal people." He said it with a moment of calmness.
And then that moment was over.
"Triceratops it is then!" He said, happily marching away down the long hallway of dinosaurs. Stopping in front of a large display he smiled at her. "Here you go, I think this is the one you'd like." He leaned over the railing, staring at the large, complete skeleton. "They do make you feel pretty small, huh."
For the next while he spent walking around the dinosaur exhibit with her, stopping at each one and admiring. It felt like the first day in the museum all over again. Happily he stopped again, noticing a small sign near the exit of the room. There was a glint in his eyes and he smiled back at his museum buddy.
"Looks like the new exhibit is a space exhibit!" He said happily, wandering in the direction. "I've always wanted to see one here, I wonder if they have any spacecraft." He smiled back to her. "Is that something that interests you?" It was great to have someone to talk to as normally he came to these parts alone. He had almost forgotten what it was like to be enjoying something with someone else to have a conversation with.

Leonora couldn't help but flush a little bit with Jakome's compliment at her profession. "Well, I help make feel better, not heal. Most things are temporary, kind of like chiropractors: they make you feel better, but don't teach. Physical therapists are supposed to do that!" She nodded at her own words, making sure that her memory was correct.
When Jakome led her around, she gasped a little bit at the triceratops that was in front of them. "That is so amazing! There's so many pictures of how these guys looked back then... It would be pretty cool if we could actually see them alive and kicking huh? But then again, they would crush us like bugs, even on accident!"
She wanted to laugh, but held it back, not wanting to disturb others. Her amusement was distracted by the other exhibits and eventually she was calm, just enjoying the exhibits. Leonora was so glad that someone was here to show her around and enjoy it with her! She was pretty sure it wouldn't have been as much fun if she was alone.
"That sounds like an exciting exhibit! But wait... I just realized, I don't think you've mentioned your favorite? Unless it was the dinosaurs!"
Her mind couldn't help but wander back to the idea of space. It caused her to think of Meru and powering up... And how she was a Page of Cosmos. It made her wonder if she could learn anything about all of that.
Leonora couldn't help but wonder how much Jakome. "I'm curious... Since you said you were born and raised here... How much do you know about those people running around at night? It would be interesting to see an exhibit on them... At least, it would teach someone like me about them and what to avoid!"

Jakome nodded happily as they went along and stopped walking for a moment to think. "My favorite? Oh right." His chest puffed out a little and a grin went from ear to ear. "I'd have to say my favorite is the ancient cultures wing!" There was nothing prouder, and he had reasons to like it aside from his own aspirations. It called to him in a way he was certain other people wouldn't understand.
"I do love all the exhibits here, but that one always seems to amaze me." The subject of space was something else entirely, he was hopeful for so many things, maybe even to learn more.
His eyes wandered to her at the question and he lifted an eyebrow. "Oh that?" Jakome pondered as his stride seemed to slow down. "Well I hear a lot of rumors, some think it's gang wars, others something paranormal..." There was a shrug. "I'm not sure which to believe or really what to think about it."
They passed under the entryway and into an entire room full of space exhibits. A brightness entered his face and his eyes as he gazed up at a recreation of the solar system hanging overhead and spinning at a slow pace. "Wow." He said with a happy sigh, turning back to the previous question. "I just know to be careful, some of those people won't hurt anything and just wander around, but some are dangerous..." He trailed off, then caught himself.
"Or so I've heard."

"That does sound amazing! It's interesting to see how our cultures came to be, huh?" There was a sense of uniqueness that Leonora knew existed in all of them; knowing that they were all in one place in this museum was pretty cool. Hopefully today's visit wouldn't be her last and she'd find a chance to explore and enjoy every inch of it.
Leonora still didn't know how to feel about her move to Destiny City. There were so many wonderful places and people to be met, but she was still very intimidated by the unknown. "Is it bad that I'm an adult and I'm afraid of what can happen at night here?"
She laughed just a little, but her amusement at herself was short-lived. "Doesn't it make you wonder if all these things could get destroyed?" Leonora motioned to the things around her. "I mean, I don't really know how big this war is or what people are affected by it, but the whole city is at risk, right?"
"Maybe I chose the wrong city to move to..."
Glancing at a large clock in the museum, Leonora noted what time it was. Although she was enjoying her time at the museum, there were other places she had planned to go. "I'm sorry, Jakome! I haven't spent much time here, but today seemed to be for more scouting than spending at one place..." She went into her bag, pulling out a pen and a scrap piece of paper. Then, she handed that to Jakome.
"That's my phone number! Call me and we can arrange another day to fully explore here!" There was no guarantee he'd ever call her, but she didn't mind giving her phone number out to new friends. Leonora smiled and waved at Jakome as she headed for the exit. She enjoyed making new friends, no matter how odd the processes were.
