Penwakani lazed by the riverbank, enjoying the hot sun on her fur and the gentle breeze that rustled the tree above her. They really did live in a nice area of the savannah, she mused, sad to think that they would move on soon, after Yuuki finished his training. That was where the cheetah was right that second, off training with Rior and possibly Jini. Pen lost interest in watching the boring training, but if Yuuki was to fight, she would be there to watch.
She had to support him, after all, and make sure he didn't die.
She stretched leisurely, and flopped out, spreading her form as far as it's small frame would allow. Ahh, she liked not having a job to do, though she supposed she'd have to hunt eventually.

 Nyota decided to go for a wander, after lazing around in the sun. looking for a shady place to rest her legs and flop around, her eyes veered from tree to tree, looking for a good one.
Then she saw a figure, a figure lazing with her body stretched on the ground. she was ungaurded, odd, but either way she was carefree, and Nyota saw the shad she was under, perfect. she decided to be casual, and not run up to the peaceful lioness, disturbing her relaxation.
she saw a klipspringer near the baobab she was lounging under, so she went for it, hoping the other lioness would want to share a meal.
but she thought twice, Nyota really just wasnt hungry, why should she waste a meal that another coud need? she huffed and plopped her body down near the other lioness, wondering if she would take notice.

Having recently closed her eyes in order to fully soak up the laziness of her actions, one of them slowly opened when she felt someone approaching her. Perhaps Yuuki had decided to take a break from training and come laze with her? No, it certainly wasn't her male cheetah companion, rather it was another female lion.
She hadn't seen another girl in ages! The quest to be a fighter was mostly male dominated and since she was being dragged around after Yuuki, well, she never saw girls any more.
"Hi!" she chirped happily, opening both eyes and watching the female, though still not moving from her extremely lazy sprawl.

"hello!" she replied, this lioness was cheery and welcoming, and Nyota decided to go and see her, and lounge around with her.
"so, what brings you out here?" she plopped her body besides the other lioness, and sprawled her lanky body out on the ground and sighed. "shade..." she whispered to herself, breathing deeply, she could just close her eyes...and sleep. naps were nice. no, she wouldnt, couldnt, it would be silly to just fall asleep so quickly, silly silly silly.

Penwakani smiled at the stranger as she flopped down. Oh goody! Someone who knew how to lounge properly, none of that prim and proper 'shall we sit like ladies' thing. That wasn't relaxing at all.
"My friend and I have a den near here," she explained cheerfully. "He's training to be some strong fighter or something, and it's really boring at times, so I decided to come and laze by the river." She sighed and stared at the water. "It's just so pretty."
She giggled, and glanced back at her new companion. Yay a new friend. "What brings you out here?"

She smiled while her head lie sideways. "me? well, im just wandering mostly..."
she wasnt really sure what she was looking for though, but why did you really need to know what you were looking for to wander? Nyota gave a mental shrug, and thought about something else.
"so, whats your name? Mines Nyota" she smiled and sniffed around, smelling the klipspringer whos life she almost ended minutes ago, but decided the waste wasnt worth it.

"Have you been wandering long?" Penwakani couldn't help but ask. She had wandered as a youth, but since Yuuki wanted to train, they'd pretty much stayed in one place for a while now. Eventually they'd leave, but for now they were pretty stationary. Kinda boring, but oh well.
"Nice to meet you Nyota!" She responded cheerfully. "My name is Penwakani, but you can call me Pen, my name is a bit long..." She loved her name, but even she got tired of saying it a lot. She couldn't' imagine how annoyed other people got trying to refer to her as such every time they wanted her attention.

"im pretty sure i have lived in the rouge lands my whole life. i used to live in a den, but im looking for a place to call home" she sighed. the word home made a knot in her stomach. but she would find a place soon! "well, its nice to meet you too Pen!"
she liked the name, as it had a nice ring to it, and suited the lioness nicely.
"what brings you out here Pen?" she just had ask. she was curious. was she alone? did she have a mate? these questions floated around in her head, but she shook them out and managed to keep her eyes on the birds in the tree. she tried to remember what they were, but she was too lazy.

Penwakani nodded as Nyota spoke, listening to her story with interest. "That's a good thing to try and find!" She agreed cheerfully, and smiled a little bit.
"Me? I'm just relaxing. My friend, Yuuki, is studying near here so we decided we would stay. I wouldn't be alive without Yuuki, he's saved me quite often." Mostly from her own stupidness, but well, her new friend didn't need to know that.
She smiled. "I'm kind of eager to keep walking soon, but for now, this area is pretty nice. Our den isn't too far from here." She should go find Yuuki soon though. He had been fighting for a while, so he probably should rest and she knew he wouldn't stop until someone told him too - and he never listened to his teacher, just her.

Nyota nodded, and looked up at the sky. not because she was in a rush, but she had sensed the sun starting to go down, and she wanted to see if her feeling was right. it was, but she decided she could sleep wherever, considering she wasnt in any sort of rush. "I can see why you would be eager to get going. studying can be hard to sit through i imagine."
Nyota gave a mental sigh, while thinking how lucky Pen was to have a travelling partner. Soon, she reminded herself. soon, she would have a whole pride, a home, a new beginning. smiling slightly at the thought, she rolled over on hre other side and gave a small huff.

Seeing her new friend stretching out, as if eager for sleep, Pen decided to be kind and give up her tree to the lioness. "I'm going to find my friend now," she said, "but all the best for your travels! I hope you find something amazing along the way."
She gave her a bright smile and bounced to her paws, eager and peppy to find the grumpy cheetah who was, quite possibly, her something amazing.
"Bye Nyota!" she called out, as she jogged away from her new friend, towards her old one.
