Akiko walked alone in the forest. At least she liked to think she was alone. She knew her "brother" Yi was somewhere behind her. It wasn't that she had seen him, just that he had a habit of following her around when she went this deep into the forest. It was uncanny, this bond, for that is what she felt it was rather than her senses. She knew where he was when he was trying to be stealthy, but never really acknowledged it. She shook her head as she touched the plants growing along her unknown path. She loved being here, and would not allow her brother to dampen her mood.
Yi grunted in displeasure. Aki was going into the deep forest again. He was frequently from home, but their guardian had told him about these journeys into the forest since she was little, and he didn't like her going alone. True, no harm had come to her, but he was always worried about her since it was just Aki and their guardian till she decided her class and went away for training. She was his little sister, and would forever be precious to him. Yi sighed inwardly. He had shaken off Felix, his familiar since birth, and now tracked Aki. It was rather hard since she seemed to blend in well with the colors here.

Kekapa yawned lazily as he rested on the high branch of a tree, his leg dangling down. As of right now, there wasn't much for him to do. He hadn't heard a word from Ferren so he had decided to take a breather. Recruiting for his side sure was a drain at times. Seemed like there weren't as many willing participants as they had hoped for. Of course, that made Ferren one upset God. And that meant that he'd taken his anger out on Kekapa. Never mind that it wasn't actually his fault. Kekapa grimaced as he ran his hand over the gash on his left arm.
"Oh well." Kekapa shrugged as he swished his tail back and forth. In order to gain the power he so craved, Kekapa would do anything and take anything that Ferren threw at him. An evil smile crossed his face just as he heard noise down below where he was perched. He pulled himself up into a crouching position and held his breath, careful not to make a sound as he watched the being emerge from some nearby brush.
Well well... He mused to himself. Now this was going to be interesting. A female Kyresue who seemed to be alone in the woods. His smile increased as he kept his eye on her movements. Maybe today wouldn't be so boring after all.

Akiko stopped her wondering and bent down to admire a flowering plant. It was late for this particular flower to be in bloom, yet she could tell already it was beginning to die. She sniffed at it to catch it's fragrance. When she did, something inside her made her stiffen. Though she barely could smell it, another Kyresue was nearby, and it was not Yi. She stood up and looked around. Nothing seemed out of place, yet she breathed deeply in the sent of the forest. The sent was still there, yet so faint it could be an after thought. She smiled as she looked around. Someone had eather been here, or was still around. Though she did not feel frightened, she felt somewhat amused: Now she would see how her brother would react.
Yi had smelt the presence of another in the woods before he knew Akiko did. He frowned hard, and the hairs on his neck raised as he saw the other above Aki in the trees. He stood as still as he could. "Fool little girl!" he thought as he weighed his options. It seemed that the other was only interested in Aki, so he would stay still and watch. He knew Aki could take care of herself, but he'd be damned if any physical harm would come to her. When it came to the ways of the world, he knew more than her, and what he knew now was that this whole thing was wrong.

Kekapa's ears twitched at a slight sound farther back in the forest. He knew another was around but would not show that he knew of this. It was time to have a little fun. Maybe he could even work on recruiting one or two more followers for Ferren. A smirk flitted across his face as he jumped down to the ground, behind the female Kyresue, quitely. "Why hello beautiful." He whispered as he leaned in close to the female's ear.

Letting out a little gasp and turning around sharply, Akiko blinked, for that was all she could do. There stood a rather handsome Kyresue. She felt herself blush at the term 'Beautiful'. She knew she was no such thing. Quickly she regained her composure (or at least she thought she had) and stuck her nose up saying, "You must be blind. I am no such thing." but then she turned back to the newcomer smiling, "However, I'll take what I can get." She looked to where she was sure Yi was. She smiled brightly in that direction.
Yi growled a little, still keeping a distance. "Big brother mode, activate...." he thought.

Kekapa chuckled softly. He had meant the compliment. Even if it had been a way to get under her skin and into her head. A smile smile played across his lips. He would have fun with this one, that was for sure. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and shrugged his shoulders. "If you say so love." He said as he turned to the side and acted as if he wasn't paying her any attention. "What's a beautiful lady like yourself doing so deep in the forest all by your lonesome?" Of course, Kekapa knew that she wasn't alone. There was no way he could ignore the energy that was radiating off of the other Kyresue.

Akiko looked back. She smiled slightly, shrugging, and said, "Just walking. I come here regularly to be alone." She noticed the gash on his arm and said with wide eyes, "Oh your arm...." She was a sucker for hurt things. Her mother finally gave up on fixing the cuts and scrapes on the wounded animals Akiko had brought home, and taught her some ways plants can help heal from there in the forest, "If you wish, I can help with that."

Kekapa raised an eyebrow and looked down at his arm. He had almost forgotten about the gash. The sharp pain he'd been feeling before had gone to a dull ache. He looked back up at the female and shrugged. "I hadn't even noticed it as of late." However, he knew that he needed to have it treated soon before it got infected. "If you must." He said as he held his injured arm out in front of her.

Akiko rolled her eyes. Men. She had to hand it to him though, he was a lot better about it than her brother. She took his hand and led him to the small stream nearby, stopping to gather the plants she would need. She stopped by the stream, and said, "It will be cold." and made him put his arm down into the water to wash it out. As she did so she said, "So, how did you end up in this forest?" It was a deep forest, and there was places she wouldn't even go in it. Her worrywart brother didn't have to be so worried about her.
Yi Glared after Akiko and moved after them.

Kekap gritted his teeth as she submerged his arm in the cold water. It wasn't so much the cold that made him do so but the sting that came from the deep gash. He must have just gotten use to the pain it had been causing him. He turned his attention away from his arm and back at the female and her question. "Oh, just walking." He smiled as he repeated her earlier words. He came to the forest often, in his down time. Though he tended not to venture near the parts that were frequented. He usually liked to keep to himself. This time, however, he had been weak, though he didn't like to admit so, and had needed to rest before going further into the forest.

Akiko lifted his arm out of the water and then started to make the ointment to treat the wound. "This forest is really nice, I come here often." She looked up at the Kyresue and smiled scrunching up her nose, "My brother really hates it when I come here alone." She applied the poultice and placed a large leaf over it as a bandage. "There! Just make sure to wash it off when it dries completely and that you keep it clean." She then placed the rest of the herbal ointment into another big leaf and said, "After you wash it out, apply it again with some proper bandage and then you should be fine after that treatment."
"Good God, she's actually treating his wound!" Yi thought. "I should get her and drag her home now!" He realized he had torn holes with his fingers into the leaf he was holding back to see them. He didn't really much care.

Kekapa's eyebrows rose at the cool sensation the ointment caused. It was refreshing from the burn of the water. This Kyresue would make a nice addition to Ferren's followers. "Your brother?" He asked as he cocked his head slightly to the side. His eyes fell to where he thought the other Kyresue must be hiding. So maybe the other one was her brother then. That would make recruiting the female that much harder. He had to find a way to get her away from him. Maybe he could get her farther into the forest and lose her nosy brat of a brother in the thicker woods.
"So how far have you been into the forest?" Kekapa asked with feigned interest.

Akiko smile brightly, "I haven't been into the deep woods, but I have been to the places around it." Akiko had heard stories of Ferren's followers being in those woods, doing what only god knows what. Most people around here didn't venture even this far into the woods, but she never had any problems. She shivered, she didn't like the vibes coming from there. Who knew? Perhaps one day she could convince her brother to go with her closer...
Yi saw the unknown male glance his way. He ducked down further glaring as he did. He tried to push past his brotherly concern and still felt as if something was wrong.

Kekapa grinned. Maybe it would be easier to get her to follow him after all. She had a look of longing in her eyes when she talked about the deeper parts of the forest. He had a feeling that if her brother wasn't near by she probably would have gone deeper into the forest than this. "Want to go?" He asked as he looked over to a group of trees that were situated close together, causing it to look much darker than where they were.
