Serpentarius kept telling herself this over and over as she rounds the last area she patrols by the park. Between her school work, and now this, she was just not in the mood to do anything. It was the first time, since powering up, that she actually didn't want to be on a patrol. Instead, she wanted to be back in her dorm, sleeping under her warm covers.
"No, just finish then go home." she scolded herself, just like she been doing so as of late. This all came about with her with her talk with the Dark Mirror Senshi, as she was now questioning everything about this side.
Pushing her hands through her brown curls, she leans against the brick wall for a moment as she looks up at the sky. At the moment, she honestly give anything just for a friendly face that she knew. Just to tell her she was out of her mind, or even better tell her to go home. She knew this wasn't going to be the case, and found herself pushing off the wall to continue her track around the area.
Just alittle further, and you can go home.

The Eternal Senshi of Danger was running over some roof tops, glancing back over his shoulder to make sure he had lost his pursuers. It was not often that he ran from a fight, but even he knew when he was in over his head.
Well, no. He would have kept fighting, but the innocent life he was trying to protect forced his hand. He had to get out of there, to make sure the youma he had wanted to bash into dust didn't get a chance to kill before he could stop them.
Sometimes it was difficult being a senshi. All he wanted to do was blow off steam, but this whole saving lives things could be a real drag.
He leaped off a roof and came up short, falling a short distance and landing hard on the pavement below. in that fall he felt the presence of another senshi nearby,and when he landed he looked up to find Serpentarius standing not too far away. He grinned ear to ear, straightening up. He held something against his chest, cradled as carefully as he knew how.
He wasn't exactly well versed in being tender.
"Don't suppose I can interest you in a cat, eh?" he said, bypassing just saying hello like a normal person. He moved his arms to show the small, orange and brown kitten he was holding, and what he had saved from those youma. Even he had a heart. Sometimes.
Serpentarius turns as she hears him land behind her, her eyes taking him in for a moment before she arched a brow "Chaonis? What are you...?" her heart about melts as she see the little cat in his arms. Moving over to him, she takes it from him to hug it close "Aww....so cute...I would love to have this little guy if you don't want him." looking up, she smiles at him as she nods.
"Its been awhile, still up to no good I see?" she teases him as she runs her fingers along the cats forehead. Actually, she been hoping to cross paths with him again, as she did promise the next time she saw him she would be stronger in fighting skills.
So the only way to test that, well was to fight him right?

"You can have it, I was just going to feed it to the dog."
All lies. He had no intention of feeding it to anything, since he worked so hard to keep the thing safe, and the last thing he wanted was to just kill it off. And anyway, his dog would not eat a damn thing that wasn't kibble or people food. Dogby was no hunter, and would likely just snuggle with the kitten forever.
That was the trouble with corgi's.
Well, one of the problems with them.
The kitten was rumbling as the senshi pet it, lifting its head and mewing at Serpentarius helplessly. It was small, a bit dirty, but it had been through a lot. Chaonis let her cuddle it all she wanted, grinning and folding his arms over his chest.
"No good? I'm doing more good than most other folks around here, I'll have you know. What about you? Gotten any better?"
Serpentarius didn't believe for a second that he was planning on feeding the cat to a dog. Why would he have gone out of his way to save it then? With a small chuckle, she nods "Sure you were." holding the cat close to her, she smiles as it starts to purr.
She really was a softy when it came to cats, as she always wanted one of her own.
Looking up, she arches a brow before she smirks at his words "Well, I did just power up. Not bragging, cause that could backfire on me. So I guess the only way to find out, is a sparring session." she pauses as she glance around for a safe place to her new baby.
"Would you be willing to spar with me, no holding back like before?" she glance at him only for a moment. Hoping she wasn't wrong in her assumption that he was stilling willing to help her out. With him being eternal, she kind of looked up to him.

Serpentarius was wise not to believe anything Chaonis said, at least in cases like this. He was just being a jerk for the sake of it, maybe to buffer his ego because he was feeling a little like a sissy for saving a cat. Not because he had saved it, but because he had felt so compelled to.
She didn't need to know about that. He'd just make it seem like an accident.
"Alright, but you're going to have to do something with the kitten. Unless you think you can take me with a cat in one hand." He got a flash of an image in his head, of her punching at him with a kitten boxing glove. That did not seem like a very good idea, but it was certainly funny.
Maybe not for the cat.
"No holding back, eh? Sure. Let's give that a go and see how well it turns out for you." He laughed but grinned eagerly, liking the idea. They could find a place to stow the cat so they could get a good sparring session in.
"I'm not that good, maybe you can fight holding a cat. But even I know I can't do that." with a small chuckle, she glance around before setting the kitten down in a box and giving it one last pet "You stay right here okay?" with a smile, she glance towards Chaonis for a brief second.
Without warning, she lunges at Chaonis fist aiming right for his face. From their last session, and since then she learn not to wait. For the person she was fighting wouldn't either. Because she always waited, she ended up going off the side of a roof.
Not anymore, she wasn't going to allow that to happen. So even in a sparring match, she was going to be the one to get in a the first attack.

Chaonis nodded, watching her put the cat down. It didn't look inclined to go anywhere, curling up in the box and laying down. It watched them almost lazily, like it, in its short life, somehow saw super powered beings fighting each other all the time, and was utterly bored by it.
Chaonis saw her coming to attack him, and was surprised by her gusto. She was not waiting for anything, which was good. She had learned a lot since he last saw her, that was for sure.
He took some credit there.
The hit landed and he felt his head snap to the side. She could hit hard now, though not as hard as she would when she powered up more. He grinned at her, following through from the hit to roll into his own attack, swinging for her side, near her kidney.
He still hit hard, if not harder as she felt his punch land right at into her side. It caused her to stumble a few paces away from him, only to turn her green eyes on him. Turning back on him, she smirks as she holds her hands up in front of her. They start glowing a bright green as not one, but two snakes form.They grow until they are able to wrap around her body.
As she pulls her hands apart, she sees both snakes rear up to attacking position "Serpent Strike!" throwing her hands out towards Chaonis, the snakes lunge towards him. Fangs ready to sink into any part of his body.
The last time they crossed path, she was scared to use her powers against someone who was suppose to be on the her side. Chaonis showed her not to be scared, cause she beat her pretty hard. Now, she was going to prove that she could take it. Even if it meant playing just a little dirty.

NAME: Serpents Strike ACTION: An upgraded version of Serpents Kiss. Only in this case she actually has two glowing green snakes that attack. But instead they wrap lightly around her body. Then when she calls out Strike, they lunge towards the enemy, attacking one after the other. EFFECT: When the toxin is injected into one part of the opponent body, that place will become paralyzed for thirty to forty-five seconds. NUMBER: She can only use this power twice. STRENGTH: This is great defense skill, as she can stop other from double teaming on a senshi. WEAKNESS: In cold temperatures, or dealing with the cold in general. The powers are render nearly useless, as they seem very lethargic. Its to the point that the snake will seem like its not moving at all.

The Eternal Senshi of Danger watched as the snakes began to glow and form around Serpentarius. He grinned, remembering them from some time a while ago. Had she used them on him before? No, not the same, but he knew that they did... something he should probably have remembered.
He was really terrible at taking notes.
He remembered that this was a step forward, though. She was more bold now, and that was something he could get behind. He was not going to use his attacks, since they did a lot of damage and he didn't want to get either of them killed. There was that vague idea that this was supposed to be a friendly spar, so crashing a building down on her or something probably was not the best idea in the world.
He charged her, imagining the only way to learn what the snakes did was to meet them head on. Because what harm could that do? He pulled his fist back and readied a massive swing that still somehow managed to fit into his well stretched definition of friendly.
Serpentarius was actually caught off guard as she saw Chaonis charge forward towards her snakes as they flew at him. She knew if they sung into his flesh, she would have roughly about forty-five seconds to go after him. Jumping backwards, she narrows her eyes as she chuckles "Charging my snakes, without any knowledge of what they can do? Now I understand why you are the Senshi of Danger."
She held off going after him at this point. If he somehow managed to get pass her snakes, she would worry about it. For now, she kept her fist up, as well as her guard up.

Chaonis lived up to his sphere, almost constantly. He couldn't help himself there. It had ingrained itself in his head, this idea of danger and strength. He was not just a senshi, though. It followed him into his personal life, and had been with him long before he had ever awakened.
Taking risks was just what he did.
Not that it always paid off.
The snakes bit him and he stumbled, feeling their magic and remembering what they did a little too late to do anything about it. He really needed to think some things through before he did them, but that would take half the fun out of it. So he had left her with an opening to attack him, if she so wanted to.
The moment the snake's fangs sunk in, Serpentarius took advantaged as she lunges forward. She didn't think twice about attacking him, not this time. Not after what happen to her and the corrupted senshi. Bringing her leg up, she throws a round house kick to the side of his head before bringing her fist up.
She wasn't playing around this time, she was going to prove she can do this.
With that, she brings her fist up under his jaw "So, wishing you never charged my snakes?" there was an actually smile on her lips.

Chaonis was glad to see she had learned how to fight a bit. At least how to fight him. She was not letting him get the better of her and wasn't giving him the chance to sucker punch her.
Not that he could at the moment, with the snakes.
He was helpless as she tackled him, though he let out a sound of protest. Still, he looked amused and eager, just waiting for his chance to strike back, struggling against the magic as best as he could to try and get a swing of his own in.
Damn it.
"Yeah that probably wasn't the best idea I ever had," he grunted, when she hit him. But he would make up for it, oh he would.
Throwing a few more punches to his sides, she watch as the snakes started to fade, which meant she only had a few seconds more before he would be able to attacked. She chuckles before she jumps back bringing her fist up "Probably not, but now you know not to mess with my bite." she winks as she attempts to kick him right in the stomach.
"Come on Chaonis, I know you know how to fight. Your the one who made me want to fight harder, so show me what you can do." throwing another punch towards his face, she didn't seem to be backing down.
She actually found herself eager to fight him, maybe to prove she could be better. Or was it because she actually like beating up on someone?
