Staring at the sky had become a bit of a past time for Nickeline mostly due to her habit of laying on rooftops and waiting for power signals to appear. Her time had not be wasted tonight, but when was it ever wasted in Destiny City? Never! Destiny City probably had the largest crime rate in the United States simply because of all the property damage. However, there was something different about the power signal this time. She couldn't quite place it. What she could place was the location though, if only because she could see them... in the sky.
Her her face immediately twisted into something of confusion, something definitely matching how she felt at the moment. It took but a moment for the click of her heels to be heard on the concrete of the roof as she went from laying on the roof to running across it after the power signal in the sky. This was quite curious, and if it was a knight then Nickeline wanted to feed them her boot.

"You know... if you were trying to catch my attention, you coulda just said something."
The figure Nickeline had been chasing after had vanished out of thin air, leaving a small flare of butter-colored light in his wake. Just a second later there was another flash, and then a voice, right behind her. Kurma sat cross-legged in the chill air a couple of feet above the rooftop, a small breeze teasing at his sash and his long hair -- other than that, he was completely still. With crossed arms, stern eyes, and yet a light, playful smile, he took a good look at the corrupted senshi. He hadn't failed to catch her notice. She hadn't failed to catch his notice, either.

It was probably not a good way to start any sort of friendly approach by vanishing and then reappearing behind someone. She took it as a threat, turning around with her fists raised and a rather upset expression on her face. She couldn't do that, how come she couldn't do that? She made a minor expression that looked like she was going to s**t her fuku as if she wanted to will herself to disappear and reappear before finally just looking even more unimpressed.
"Yo," she greeted, feeling rather bitter to even consider saying the whole proper greeting. She was just rather unappeased with the whole situation.
She didn't remain still though, her arm releasing its fist to wind up her balls before stepping a bit closer to investigate. Her guard was up as her eyes checked Kurma's gear out, just wondering what the ********>

Kurma did not move. His demeanor did not change a single iota, either. If Nickeline was taking on a reactive stance, then the stranger a few feet away was clearly treading the path of least resistance. For him, there was nothing to fear. He could be injured, or even killed by this senshi, but in the grand scheme of things anything she could do to him would always be merely temporary. She was no threat to his well-being.
Fear for her own safety, however, was a different story entirely.
"Hi," he answered, with a friendly nod of the head. "You don't gotta be scared of me, I can't hurt you."

Nickeline would never understand why he'd fear for her safety if he didn't plan to hurt her! That simply would not make any sense within the corrupt senshi and she'd bet her balls on it. Just a few. She'd still have more than him in the end if she did lose that bet, so it was okay. However, she wasn't convinced. She stared at him with major suspicion, something she reserved for the likes of Sassolite and perverted men. Maybe he fell into both categories? Her suspicion rose even more.
"Prove to Nickeline," she stated rather flatly.

Prove it? How could he do that? Granted, this was not the first time Kurma had had this request levied towards him. It was still one of those frequently asked questions he got that, to him, were just plain silly. However, the way she phrased the question made him perk up a bit in attention. Just a few short words, just enough to get her message across... but one of them was telling.
"Well..." he started, reaching a hand up to stroke at his chin. "...if I can, then why didn't I push you off this here little building just now? Would've been easy to do." His smirk brightened briefly, then faded again as he re-crossed his arms. "I'm Kurma. And you said your name is... Nickeline?"

Nickeline had been stumped, although only just a little. She still sort of stood by the fact he hadn't pushed her off this roof because she'd turned around in time but the fact he hadn't seemed to try was enough for now. Enough but not satisfactory. She definitely mumbled something unpleasant about his face in Greek before simply nodding her head to him.
"Nickeline," she said, drawing her hands to her body as if she were pointing to herself to clarify. Yep yep, she was this Nickeline thing. Part of her wanted to tuck it away and pretend it didn't exist. It wasn't so bad being Theodora, was it? Sure, she didn't have the same power as Nickeline but she wasn't weak either! There wasn't anything she could do about this now though, and this was her life in America now.
"Kurma," she repeated, pausing for a moment after.
"Knight?" There was a definite hint of disgust at the last syllable of that one word.
