Underground Passages

[Apathetic Writer]

These are the underground passages of the Seireitei, not to be mistaken for sewers. Though there is rushing water, it is believed to actually be from an a river that runs under the Seireitei, it also supplies the Seireitei with water. There are also several stone passages that run their way completely under the Seireitei.

Thoughts: I.. Can't believe this happened.. Now I have Aki caught up in all of it.. I'm so sorry..
With: Aki, Hikari, Kurayami, and Kyōkai
Physical Health: Full Health

〖There was a light down one of the stone passage ways that were under the Seireitei, the source of the light was a weakly flickering flame, with a completely white girl except for her bright blue eyes putting her hands to the fire as it suddenly grew, burning brighter now.. Then the girl just sighed quietly and rested back, her hands holding her up.. It was strange to see Hikari in a down mood, she was always so upbeat and perky. Kurayami wasn't in too great of shape either, he leaned back against a wall, staring up at the ceiling.. His piercing crimson eyes were just glaring. "This is total bullshit.. How could it end up like this?" The black haired male asked himself quietly while Hikari shrugged.. She strangely had nothing say to her companion that she would often come back with a witty insult for anything he said, she had nothing.. Then there was Kyokai, who sat away from the group.. In the darkness of the tunnel, the only thing that showed she was there was the misty breath as it escaped her lips and her glowing yellow eyes..

Then there was a green haired male, sitting with his arm around a brown haired female.. Tsukiya and Aki, trying to stay warm with the fire while they were underground.. Tsukiya's clothes were torn from everything that he had to go through, and he didn't look to be in too great of shape either.. Though that wasn't the worse for him, the expression on his face showed guilt and sadness.. Sighing quietly, but it wasn't about the Kido Cannon.. He didn't do it, he swore and swore again that he didn't do it, he didn't know what happened.. What he really felt guilty about was that he dragged Aki down here with him, while he was at a dangerous low she was forced to go through it with him.. 'I'm so sorry.. So sorry..' It was something he said in his head over and over again, he felt horrible.. He didn't even know how many times he actually apologized to Aki.. Just.. Why did this have to happen? 〗

『 The light from the fire that Hikari made was one of the few comforting things about being underneath the Seireitei. Even since Tsukiya had been accused of stealing something called the Kido Cannon, they had been on the run, and it was starting to wear Aki down. Her clothes had some rips in them, her face had smudges of dirt, and she leaned against her green haired companion with her knees pressed up against her chest. Closing her eyes, the petite brunette tried to relax, but it was hard. She never really knew when they would be safe, and the constant feeling of stress and danger was exhausting. What she felt worse about was the fact that Tsukiya blamed himself for everything, and kept apologizing to her for dragging her into this. She wasn't upset that sh had to go through with him like this though. If she hadn't been with him, then she would have worried herself sick and would probably be in an even worse condition.

It was hard to understand why all of this was happening, and why Raine hadn't done anything to help them yet. He was a Captain, right? Didn't he have some kind of special jurisdiction in what was said? Shaking her head a little, the girl looked up at Tsukiya and offered him a small smile. "Don't be s-so hard on yourself.. Tsukiya-kun.." she said, her stuttering more or less disappearing over time. 』

〖Tsukiya opened his eyes a little as he looked down at Aki, holding her in his arms.. Her smile.. And trying to stop him from blaming himself, he tried to smile a bit back in response, but it was so hard with everything that was happening.. But her smile did help him, even if it was just a bit.. It's one of the only things that did. "S..Sorry.. Aki-chan.. I'll try not to be.. But.." He just slowly started to shake his head, he just wish everything would get better for them, for her.. One thing he wasn't understanding among everything else was where had his father been all this time, from his trip to the Nest of Maggots to here he hasn't heard one thing about or from his father.. He tightened his arm around Aki a bit and sighed quietly.

Hikari looked up a bit, concern when he finally heard more talking.. From Tsukiya and Aki, though her light, glowing blue eyes darkened a bit.. It was nothing different, just the same talk that they've heard since they've ran.. She poked the fire a bit, letting it grow and shrink.. Which made the light brighter and darker off an on in the tunnel. "Stop before someone sees.. Baka.." Kyokai said quietly in response to the different lights, the light actually bugging her.. Giving her a headache how it got bright and dark so frequently, but she hid it behind the excuse of possibly giving them away in the chance that someone was down here with them, but the odds of that were so slim.. Maybe Kyokai just wanted to give them a fright, she was good for that.. 〗

『 Sighing quietly, Aki leaned her head up to lightly kiss Tsukiya on the cheek. "Why don't you try to get some sleep?" she asked softly, knowing the boy had to be tired. She was tired herself, but she wanted Tsukiya to get some rest before she did. At least for the most part they were relatively safe under ground. Apparently people didn't come down here a lot, but despite that the pathways weren't too dirty. The only problem was that it was rather cold, but Hikari had fixed that with the fire. Well, she was also hungry, but she wasn't going to complain. Who knew when their next meal would be anyway? 』

〖As he sat there.. He suddenly felt Aki's soft, warm lips press against his cheek.. It made his face light up just a bit as he gazed into her eyes.. Though her question, it was something he really wanted to disagree with. "But.. I don't want anything else to happen.. And.. And.." He couldn't think of anything else to honestly say, he was so tired he was partly out of it. And that was very clear, he couldn't help but let out a bit of a yawn as he sighed quietly. "Y.. You'll wake me up.. If anything happens.. Right? " He asked while snuggling himself closer to her, knowing that himself falling asleep was inevitable.. Waiting for her answer, he then quietly asked. "And.. I wont have to let go of you.. To sleep.. Right..?" He wanted to keep her in his arms.. That way he knew she was safe.. And it would help him sleep more than anything else. 〗

『 Smiling faintly, Aki nodded a little. "I promise I'll wake you up if something happens, okay? Get some rest." The girl brought up her small, slender hand, and ran it through Tsukiya's green hair gently. His hair had always been kind of strange. Obviously, the color was different, but the way it felt was also unique. It was somewhat fluffy, but it was also soft and silky to the touch. Well, Tsukiya had never been normal, and that's what Aki liked about him. She nodded once more to show that he wouldn't have to let go of her, and she would prefer if he didn't anyway. It was comforting to be curled up against him, and she was scared that she might fall asleep as well. At least the Zanpakuto spirits could keep watch for a bit. 』

〖Tsukiya nodded a little as she said that she would wake him if anything was to happen, of course that was if she didn't fall asleep too.. Though they had three other sets of watchful eyes in that case.. "Alright.. Thank you.. " He said as he felt her start to run her fingers through his hair, it felt kind of nice.. He closed his eyes for a moment before he tilted his head a bit and softly kissed her cheek before resting his head against her.. Letting her keep running her fingers gently through his hair.. It was helping him drift off.. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep with his arms around her.

Kyokai had passed a look over at them when Tsukiya fell asleep, only frowning a bit. They wouldn't leave each other alone, everywhere they went they always held eachother close like that.. She didn't want it.. With a sigh she shook her head as she stood up and started to walk down the tunnel they were in further just to get away from them.. Though once she was far enough away, she let out another quiet sigh as she pressed herself against the wall. 'Why did she have to come along in the first place.. She asked herself mentally while Hikari poked at the fire again.. Letting it flare up before curling up against it. Her body didn't burn in the fire, so it didn't matter to her. Her being in the fire also turned it into a unique white flame, rather than a common red and orange flame. It felt warmer, and more comforting that the regular flame too. 〗

〖 With the explosion, the underground passages were a horrible place to be in. Rocking violently back and forth as Tsukiya held onto Aki tightly, not wanting anything to happen to her. It was so bad that the roofs along the passages began to crack and split apart despite how deep they were, letting in thin rays of darkened light, since the sun was blocked out by the glowing dark blue clouds. With tese tremors, waters along the underground canals began to splash up, trying to flood the passage ways only for Kyokai to suddenly spring up and activate her frigid powers, freezing the water as it came, creating a barrier of ice around the five only for it to crack and shatter into millions of pieces, falling flat to the ground as the tremors finally died down.. When Tsukiya was sure of it, he looked at the girl that he held tightly in his arms, more concerned for her than anyone else. Tightening his arms a little, sighing in a bit of relief now that it was over, he asked her quietly. "Aki.. Are you okay..?" When those words echoed softly, Kyokai instantly frowned, grunting.. 'Not even a thank you, Kyokai, you kept us from getting washed away. You instantly ask her. Why is she so important?!' Her thoughts screamed in her head as she started to walk off quickly, wanting to distance herself away from them a bit, she needed a moment to herself, but as she turned around the corner, her eyes instantly shot open in pain as a glowing, vibrating blade pierced her abdomen. Her icy powers tried to activate and freeze over the blade, but the weapon was a Seele Schnieder.. That clearly wouldn't work. She wealky gazed up into softly glowing yellow eyes, the man only smirked a bit as he suddenly sliced outwards towards her right side, then knocked her away with her forearm. 'No..' Leaving her to stagger as she fell off the passage into the rushing water, as she splashed into the water, another thought softly echoed. 'Where did he come from..? Then.. As the rushing water started to sweep her away, pulling her under the as oxygen suddenly became restricted, blood filling the water. 'Don't hurt them..

The man could only smirk as he kept walking, turning around the corner as he said very directly, yet the words seem to have a twist that sounded ominous.. As if they were in a nightmare situation with the full confrontation with the wicked killer."I finally found you.. Shall we get started?" 〗

〖 Tsukiya never got the chance to respond as Einsicht walked up from the direction Kyokai left in. As the barrier formed around the two, he instantly spoke his first thought towards the odd, scientist like man. "Where.. Where is Kyokai?" As his words reached the man, he only smirked as he pushed his glasses up from the tip of his nose, still holding the glowing weapon in his hand. "The one with a frigid heart of jealousy? Mm.. I believe the current is wisking her away to the southern point of the Seireitei. Unless the current, with her wound, rips her in half.. Then she could go in two directions. Clearly, the man admits instantly to attacking Kyokai, but may have very well left her with a fatal wound.. Tsukiya's eyes slowly widened at the horror of the thought while Hikari and Kurayami instantly jumped up for action. "What did you do to my sister!?" She shouted as her arms ignited into flames, throwing them forward while sending a surge of flames at the mysterious scientist while Kurayami, in an absence of words held his fingers out, dragging them along the air as electricity sparked, then lashed them forward, sending bolts of lightning at the scientist.. Only for him to let out a faint chuckle as the flames and lightning instantly vanished for a brief moment when they were about to hit him. "I believe I already answered that, now run along." With a flick of his wrist, the bolts of lightning suddenly erupted from his hand at Hikari, while then spinning on his heel, dragging his hand around the flames from her attack sparked up before being launched towards Kurayami, both being taken by surprise, and taking the attack head on.. Hikari slammed against the wall as the electricity surged through her body, and Kurayami was left severely burnt, almost falling into the water but managed to cling to the ledge.

In this courseof action, Tsukiya started to move himself in front of Aki, while drawing out his Zanpakuto, though the barrier was still up. "Leave us alon-!" His eyes widened in pain as Einsicht suddenly appeared right before the barrier, the Seele Schnieder stabbed right through the crystal barrier, into the shoulder that he was started to grasp one of the blades with. "Calm down, before I severe your arms." 〗

〖"Indeed, the boy is the carrier." He was with a smirk, before.. Something happened.. This was actually something.. Unaccounted for, and truly unexpected with the ice barrier suddenly formed around them. Einsicht started to retract his Seele Schnieder before he suddenly lost all feeling in his hand, replaced with a horrible pain at his wrist as blood splashed on part of the eyes, leaving him shocked for a moment. However.. It wasn't something tragic, merely a hand lost. He would suddenly pull back to avoid any further damage to himself, the one thing he couldn't afford to lose down here was his own life with the Relic so close. Kyokai suddenly grabbed Einsicht's hand and the Seele Schnieder and pulled it out of Tsukiya, tossing it aside as it stabbed into the wall, then wrapped her arms around both of them and used flashstep to push them a bit away, trying to get them away from the Observers as she left behind a barrier of frozen spikes. "Hikari! Kurayami! Help the Captain!" She shouted, while Tsukiya's eyes just widened as he was pushed back with Aki by Kyokai. "K-Kyokai.. You're.." The pain was too great in his shoulder to continue, but he was so happy she was okay.. He was about to go apeshit, if he could have gotten past that Seele Schnieder.

Upon the call for help, Hikari twitched a little as she nodded.. Same with Kurayami. Flames suddenly formed around Hikari as she disappeared, and reappeared standing up, Kurayami doing the same thing but with static around him and they conjoined hands as they stood behind Einsicht and Greed. "Eat this!"KABOOM!" They shouted together as they threw their conjoined hand towards them flames and electricity rotating around it rapidly before releasing a burst, spiraling fusion attack of fire and lightning right towards them. 〗
