The hippogryph sighed, her ears flicking slightly. She shook out her mane of feathers and long hair, eyes narrowing a bit as she wandered the woods. She was growing bored around the area; bored of everything that was going on. There was nothing to do, and no one to interact with. She paused for a moment, breathing in the crisp winter air, before shaking her head, claws scraping at the ground and the leaves. "What am I doing..." Murmurs to herself, before she breaths out a soft growl, ears flicking a bit.
Hephaestion made his way through the forest, avoiding trees and limbs at Jeffrey's direction. He knew he'd be completely lost without his little clock friend. Right now, the floating timepiece was helping him find the stream of water he knew to be close by, not only for the water, but for the small batch of blackberries growing on the banks. "Nearly there, Jeffrey. I can smell the berries."
The mare shifted slowly, moving carefully. She paused, ears perked. What was that? Letting her eyes drift slowly, she wasn't sure what was going on. Whow as out there? Moving forward slowly, she paused when she saw something shifting ahead of her. It only took her a few seconds, before she realized what it was she saw. In front of her was a stallion, wandering around with a flying...clock? Tilting her head, she moved forward at a good paced trot, before stopping near by, tilting her head to the side. "What... is that?" Her voice was soft, curious, unlike the usual tone she held when speaking to strangers.
The stallion froze, tilting his head as if listening. "A mare? With feathers? Are you sure." He looked up at the clock. Were it not for his face mask, there would be an incredulous look on his face. "Well, I'll take your word for it. Where is she? Oh, yes." He looked in the direction of the mare, obviously not seeing her. "Hello, there. Was I intruding?"
Dragoona blinked, staring forward. What? He was talking to it? The mare shook her head lightly, before she shifted and tilted her head, half walking a circle around him, before walking back to where she was, realizing that he couldn't see her. "Who are you talking too, dear?" Once more, she was curious, and wasn't sure what was going on with the stallion, but, she was seriously curious about what this stallion was doing.
"Well, you at the moment, dear unnamed mare," Hephaestion answered, smiling slightly. "My name is Hephaestion, and this is Jeffrey." He gestured to the clock with a slight incline of his head. He is my companion and, in a way, my eyes."
The hippogryph blinked, her eyes flickering along the body of the stallion for a moment, before she tilted her head the other way. She took a half step forward, and breathed in his smell, staring at him curiously. "Hephaestion... What an interesting name, darling." She said, grinning at him some. "My name is Dragoona. And... Jeffrey...?" She peered at the clock curiously.
"Dragoona," Hephaestion repeated, listening again to the clock. "Jeffrey says that's fitting. You have the appearance of a dragon. I'll take his word for it." He moved a little, walking a wide arc around her. "I was going to the stream for water and blackberries. Would you like to come along?"
She blinked, tilting her head to the side, before pacing a bit. Fitting? She glanced down at the claws, her markings, before the dragon like mare half smiled. "Hm.. Okay." Nods her head a bit, before the mare moved to stand along side him once more, tail feathers flickering. "Lead the way... or shall I... or... Jeffrey?" she eyed the clock curiously.
"I know the general direction. Jeffrey helps me from running into things or walking into dangers," the stallion answered. "I wouldn't be able to follow anyone, anyway, without him guiding me."
Dragoona stared toward him curiously, before nodding her head. She half smiled, eyes growing almost devious. "I could guide you, if you like." He said, her voice almost like a chirping bird.
Hephaestion considered this, but shook his head. "It would be odd for me. I'm so used to my little clock friend, it's almost second nature."
The mare almost pouted. She wasn't getting her way. It seemed that she would have to work a bit harder to acheive Hephaestion. Nodding her head curtly, she started forward. "All right. Then have him lead you, pet."
The stallion chuckled a bit, blushing slightly behind his face mask. It had been some time since a mare had doted on him. He was almost unused to the attention. "We could lead you to the berry bushes. I understand it's a great view." He started to head off, letting her see said view.
Dragoona nodded her head some, before moving forward, following at an easy pace. She glanced toward him, before shifting to weave around a tree. "Oh? And what view would that include?" She asked curiously.
"Jeffrey says the sunlight through the trees is nice and..." He looked toward the clock. "I'm not telling her that, Jeffrey. I don't care how long it has been, I'm not going to point out my backside to a stranger. I don't need you playing cupid." The stallion huffed and glanced back over his shoulder. "I'm sorry about him."
Dragoona blinked, her ears perking. She watched him for several moments, before tilting her head. Lifting her ears as high as they could, she stared, curious as to what it was he said. "What did he say, pet? I'm curious." he said, smiling toward him.
Hephaestion lowered his head, blushing more, and plodded ahead. "It really doesn't bear repeating." He lifted his head slightly. "The berry bushes are right up ahead."
The mare surged forward, moving unti she was in front of the stallion. She stopped only to stand in front of him, blocking his path. Her tail flicked slightly, before she turned to face him, her eyes locked, a grin on her features. "But I wish to know, Hephaestion."
Hephaestion blunded right into the mare, muttering an apology, and backed up a few steps. "I don't wish to tell you. Please, don't push it." He looked toward the clock, glaring at it behind his mask. "Thanks, Jeffrey."
She pouted, moving to lightly press herself against him. And, very cat like, moved around his body, before stopping beside him on the other side. "Please?" She asked, her voice half coy, half soft. She was a curious creature by nature.
The stallion sighed, making a mental note to maybe dismantle Jeffrey sometime in the short future. "He said you might enjoy the view of my backside since mares like looking at stallions." He was blushing even more now, the pink of it peeking out beneath his face mask.
The hippogryph blinked, staring at him with curious eyes. After a moment, she laughed, very lightly, before shaking her head some,. "Oh.. That is funny." She laugehd for a little bit longer, before shaking her head, and trotted to his side. "that's all right though. You do look rather well." She grinned, before moving forward slowly.
"Thank you," Hephaestion replied quietly, clearly at a loss of how to be around females. "Jeffrey tells me you are very pleasing to look at as well." He nudged her shoulder with his nose, but actualy poked her side instead, not realizing she was so tall. "Let's go get some berries. I've been craving them all day." He trotted forward, easily but precariously avoiding the obstacles in his path.
The stallion shifted before her, and Dragoona grinned. She moved forward and followed, her tail flicking easily. After a few seconds, she found herself once more at his side, and carefully moved to step forward toward the water. She paused only for a moment, looking at the water of the streem, before her eyes locked on the berries not too far from her. "The berries over there, correct?" She asked, pointing with her nose. She was enjoying the male. He was adorable.
Hephaestion nodded. "Yes. Blackberries. They're delicious. I don't know of anywhere else they grow besides here. Granted, I don't really travel much out of the area. Hard to, you know." He smiled a bit and made his way to the bushes to lip a few berries off.
Dragoona followed suit, lowering her head and lightly let her lips pull at the berries, eating them easily. "I know of a few, darling... Icould take you tehre, if you are willing to travel and trust me." She said, voice soft, before looking at him with bright eyes.
"I would like to travel more, learn more of these lands," the stallion replied after swallowing some berries. "I would need a good guide, I suppose."
Dragoona nodded her head some, pacing a bit, before she paused in her pacing, and lipped more berries. "I will gladly take you." She said, smiling and moved over, lightly letting her nose nuzzle against his throat. "I can take you anywhere, Heph..." Her voice almost became seductive, eyes half open.
Hephaestion looked in her direction, ears perking forward. "How do you propose being able to do that? You don't seem large enough to carry me and you have no wings. I think you mean to guide me, though, and that you can do."
