In the last two weeks, events continued to unfold that started to place seeds of distrust among the various affiliations.. The Gotei Thirteen, the Quincies, and the Arrancars. The Gotei Thirteen and Quincies however have been most affected by it.
After the betrayal of Kata Hirase, stealing the forbidden blade known as Muramasa and leaving his home.. Taking lives as he left, he was taken up by an organization lost in time.. They can only be known as the Observers, because they have always been watching. With Kata in their hands now, they were able to start moving again..
The first strike occurred in Karakura Town, where Kata Hirase, along with several cloaked individuals appeared out of no where.. They seek to exterminate any spiritual presence in Karakura Town, including the various places inhabited by Spiritual Beings such as the Quincy Hospital and Coffee Time. They however were confronted by the Quincy Leader Hinanji, and those of the hospital. A battle broke out against the attackers and Quincies, where as they fought it was revealed that those who were cloaked weren't all alike.. A couple of them had Crosses, like a Quincy. Others had a Zanpakuto.. There was one figure besides Kata though that wasn't cloaked, a woman that had an octopus like Bount doll. She was the most threatening of them all, even being able to fight head to head with the Quincy leader, while seducing others on the Quincies' side.. The first elite of the Observers was revealed: Lust.
The battle continued until the Quincies started to be pushed back with the aid of Kata's Muramasa and newly found Zanpakuto, that's when the Karakura Seshiro's entered, revealing that Miyuki Seshiro was once again alive. With the entry of the Seshiro's, Miyuki occupying Kata, and Leere offering aid to the Quincies they managed to push back the attackers.. It was surprising that such strong enemies came out of no where, and when they were pushed back they vanished without a trace.
This event was to draw attention of both the Quincies and Shinigami, now as they were investigating the events that occurred in Karakura Town, an event occurred in the Soul Society. Three figures.. Two of them cloaked, but clearly Quincies from the powers that they used, and the third.. Was who appeared to be a green haired male, Tsukiya Shiba. The three figures broken into a secret compound where the deadly weapon known as the Kido Cannon was hidden, for the chance that would be hoped to never come that it would need to be used, since it had the power to destroy a small dimension. These three figures disposed of the guards completely, before taking the Kido Cannon through a new sort of portal, unlike any that is used by Shinigami, Quincy, or Hollow/Arrancar alike. It was.. Impossible. With that, they vanished.. Yet Tsukiya Shiba was at his home in the Seireitei.. He was soon charged with high treason, and was sentenced to the Nest of Maggots for interrogation. However the young Shinigami managed to get away, along with his Fullbringer companion Aki. Their current whereabouts are unknown, but are still in pursuit by those of the OnmitsukidÅ.
After those two events, multiple attacks have continued to occur at absolute random, seeming to have no direct target but to make themselves known. Every attack either had various races in the enemy forces, or were all of one race attacking. As random as the attacks were, the attackers were as well. The only thing stranger than the cooperation of races in such attacks were in every affiliation, random members would draw weapons on their own allies. Several people would die before the one that had attacked died, though with improper surveillance footage it was impossible to discover who would start each of these acts of betrayal. Leaving them in the dark, it started causing worry among the groups. People they have known for years were suddenly attacking and dying.. Who could they really trust?
The Shinigami and Quincies are still at a treaty with on another, however it's becoming hard to trust. During this the Arrancar's entirely have gone dark, besides the ones in the attacking groups there have been no contact from the Espada or High Clark.
Now, the Captains of the Gotei Thirteen are meeting in the Captain Chamber to discuss all the events that have occurred over this time.. This is a Captain's only meeting, because of the the fading trust within the Gotei Thirteen.
