History/Background Clary was born to a rich family. She lived right beside Jem and her family wasn't really big. It was just Clary and her mom and dad. Her parents where going to have another kid but, decided against it. One day, her mom discovered she had cancer but 5 months later, she died. Clary's dad was destroyed! Her dad loved her mom with all his heart, mind, soul and body. He loved her so much he went crazy. People think once Clary's mom dad, he became attracted to the maddness. He would talk to her and say her name all the time. Soon, Clary's dad was sent to rehab and never came back. So, she ended up living with Jem. He would tease her and be mean to her but she didn't care. Clary saw past his rudeness and loved him for who he was and what he was going to become. She cared for him as much as he cared for her. They both joined DWMA and both wanted to be like their parents. Still to this day, Clary believes her dad is still alive and is out there somewhere. Because of her mom dying and her dad disappearing she became attracted to the madness too. Jem's soul wavelength has a postitive affect on her and keeps her from going mad. But, when he isn't near her she goes crazy and breaks things.
