One good traveling day wasted. Many that they had started the trip with were now missing, hurt, or generally in a bad mood. The high spirits they came to the mountains with was no more. Who even cares about a legendary anymore.
Then came a deafening roar from above. Oh s**t. It swooped towards the group, inches above their heads. When it physically missed, the aerodactyl let loose a flamethrower, singeing the trees above their heads.
The group ran, but the aerodactyl was quick on their tails. Delicious fleeing prey.

 Running was getting them nowhere. Well, somewhere, but nowhere the Aerodactyl couldn't reach. Juno skidded to a halt and opened the lantern. Desdemona leapt out on her waxy little "feet". "Inferno!" Juno yelled, wasting no time. "Twiiiick!" A great blaze struck the ancient Pokémon. Desdemona: 500 Aerodactyl: 6300

Parthenius trembled, but there were people she had to protect! When the Aerodactyl came close, she lunged at it with a cold Ice Fang before leaping away.

Koorie turned and looked at the monster flying around them; there was no options, it was time to fight back.
"Miu, lets do this! Fight fire with fire!"
The vulpix appeared out of her pokeball and sent a Fire Spin up at the attacking monster.

Keria turned around if they all ran it would just keep following them, someone had to distract it, it seemed she wasn't the only one who had the idea though. Grabbing a rock she lobed it at the Fossil pokemon's eye and was rewarded by it roaring in pain and launching a flame thrower at her. She dodged it for the most part, a quick roll on the ground and she was back on her feet though her hand was burnt a bit.

Chucking stones. Great. Osmond wasn't much of a fighter, but with a pitcher's arm, he could toss stuff.

Zak did his best to ward off the Aerodactyl. He Threw a rock at it, only to get hit square in the stomach by its tail.

Cael tripped over the pile of rocks that had been gathered to spring traps earlier and was barely missed by another gust of flame. He tossed one at the beast and tried to duck behind the pile.

There wasn't any escaping this thing. Dora let go of the duskull that had followed Jack and slipped off the doduo, picking up a rock to chuck at the great beast. Unfortunately, all it seemed to do was make it mad, and Dora couldn't dodge the rock that tumbled down from its retaliation - it landed with a sound THWACK on her shoulder. That was going to leave a mark.

With Fifi off his back, he turned to check on the Aerodactyl. Was is gaining on them? Seeing that some people were fighting back, he tossed out Salvo.
Salvo didn't need an order to see the problem. He hastily fired off a Razor Leaf, but his aim was poor. Instead, he got hit by a stray Flamethrower.

Lexis chucked rocks at the Aerodacty. One of them must have hit the fossil pokemon, for she surely caught it attention.

After a while of running, Walpurgis saw the aerodactyl - attacking fellow members of team rocket. And other people too, but screw them. His blood began to boil and he climbed up a nearby tall tree, leaping at the aerodactyl with both his knives. He jabbed them into the aerodactyl before falling, losing hold of the knives. He crashed to the floor in a roll.

Whjile Jack hid in the bushes like a useless sack of bird dung, and the Doduo fled into the wild, Duskull puffed up and attacked Aerodactyl with a blast from Night Shade!

Biting back a curse, Dora used her god arm to... throw a rather sharp rock at the creature. This time it hit it in the eye, but it knocked Dora back into a wall, where she screeched as her back struck a rock.
