Why was he at this school.
Why was he standing here on these grounds that were probably unkempt and there were probably no decorations and was that a raindrop he felt on his head, because there were definitely clouds in the sky, thicker clouds than normal.
And why, Xavier asked himself, staring gloomily up at the silhouette of Amityville High against the darkening sky, was he lost yet again?!
It was already bad enough that he'd been pushed out of his home by his overly cheerful and persuasive parents, shoved onto a train, and told that going to this school in particular would be "good for his social standing and personal acquaintances."
Whatever that meant. Needless to say, it had been with great trepidation that Xavier Hollow was now hopelessly, unbelievably, lost.
So much for a great first day.

Having spent part of the morning in town, LW had spotted the strangely lone figure that didn't seem to move much. And if she had to judge by his posture, he didn't seem to know where he was going either. Or maybe he was indecisive? The she-wolf had eyed the creature as she'd approached the school grounds yet again, passing through the gates and still he stood there.
"Hi there!" The she-wolf said cheerfully, tail swishing as she padded up to the new individual. She'd never seen (or smelled) him before!
"School's a little intimidating upon first look, isn't it?" She fished, not wanting to ask the obvious. If he was lost and needed help!
LW shifted the bag she carried to her other arm. It was full of plaid shirts and a sweater or two with a few more.. intimate type lingerie towards the bottom. She liked her cute clothes, Jackdamnit! And... Ren could always use a few new shirts... since she kidnapped a few of his.
"First time here?" LW offered him a smile, looking him over curiously. Demon. She thought he might be a demon! He had that certain scent about them she associated with the demons.

There was someone talking to him. Why was she talking to him what was she talking about who was she.
Xavier peered out from under his long dark eyelashes to stare mulishly out at the ghoul, whose violent shade of red hair was probably able to be seen by skyscrapers.
"No," said Xavier, a little more forcefully than necessary, except this was followed by a very morose and mournful sounding, "Yes, I am very lost because this school is so very large and I don't see the point in coming to such a dreadful place, it's really very tedious and I'm not sure I'll ever like it here."
And then silence while he gazed pitifully around at his surroundings.

Perhaps a small bit of good fortune had befallen Xavier in the fact that for once, LW was not clad in the skimpy clothing she preferred, but instead in shorts and one of said stolen plaids. The she-wolf just stared with wide violet eyes at the forcefulness of the demon's response. Which turned into a frown. Then slowly crept up into amusement.
Oh wasn't he just charming!
Yep. He was totally lost. And just oh-so-thrilled about it! LW's tail swished from side to side.
"Sooo... in other words you are a new student and don't know where the dorms and classes are?" LW said dryly, finding his grim outlook way more amusing than she should have. "Did you... need help?" She asked, trying not to grin and belay more of her amusement.
"I'm LW by the way."

There was a long moment in which Xavier just stared blankly at the shewolf - LW, she said her name was.
"...there is nothing wrong with simply stating the obvious," he said gloomily, and picked at a stray thread from the hem of his sleeve, watching it drift silently to the ground. There was a rustle as one of the feathers in his hair followed it.
"...LW's a weird name."

The werewolf snorted, crossing her arms as best she could with her shopping bags, while directing a raised eyebrow look towards the boil.
"No, there is not. Some people just like to sugarcoat it." LW said with a shrug, head tilting slightly. "Well, if you want the obvious stated, you need help. You have no idea what in Jack you're doing. I am a third year student. I could help you." It wouldn't be the first time she'd run into new students and showed them around! This one was just the most... stubborn and gloomy of them...
... and he was stating the obvious once again himself. "And you're a strange demon." LW countered. "LW is a nickname." She added. "What about you? Unless you want me to just call you 'Gloomy'." Oooh she was throwing a little sass in there.

Xavier might have glared at LW, but since he wasn't really the glaring type it came out instead as something very despondent.
"I do not," he said. "need help. I am just fine the way I am."
A long pause.
"And I'm not strange. Or gloomy. I'm just who I am."

The she-wolf glanced between the demon and the school with a knowing look.
"Are you sure?" She asked with a look that said she totally didn't buy it.
Not one bit.
"Yeah?" LW's lips twitched. Oh Jack she was having more fun with this then she really should be! "Then tell me, Mr. Doom and Gloom. Who are you, hmm?"

LW just stared at the demon. "Try me." Jack, he was a stubborn one! No wonder she found him amusing.
"Maybe you just don't have a name. Parents decided not to name you or something." She shrugged. "So how about I call you Noname?"
