Name: Aliseanne Laenuliel
Nickname: Alise, Lisey
Age: 9
Birthday: June 24
Sign: Cancer
Gemstone: Pearl
Blood Type: B
Fav. Food: Alise's favorite food is pumpkin pie (with lots of whipped cream!), but if something's considered 'unhealthy' by her mother, chances are Alise will eat it.
Hated Food: Any of that 'new age' health food stuff her mother's always pushing her to try
School: Knightside Elementary
Hobbies:Exaggerating everything -- Did you ever hear about the time Alise saw a spider in her room? It was totally three feet tall AND it had glowing eyes AND it breathed fire! But it's okay, because Alise defeated it
all on her own. You didn't? Well, it never actually happened, to be honest, but to Alise, details aren't really that important, and a little white lie never hurt anyone. She's become something of a 'boy who cried wolf' because of this habit, making it hard for others to believe her when she
does tell the truth, but Alise fails to learn any lessons from such.
Ghost stories -- Alise has a fascination with ghosts and stories about them, especially if they happen to be of real people that once lived. Her mother isn't really sure where it came from (though Alise's great grandmother was a 'spirit medium' (self-proclaimed)), but a mild curiosity about ghosts and hauntings turned into fascination which now borders on obsession at times. Alise thinks it's all pretty cool, really, and will try sharing the stories she's found with anyone who will listen; this has led to her being banned from some playgroups when she was younger due to scaring the other kids. While her mother has attempted to limit her access to these things, but Alise manages to find the 'creepypasta' anyway.
Collecting plush rabbits - Alise will tell you that she's too old for stuffed animals now, but it's all lies lies
lies. Her room is practically overrun with plush rabbits, both given as gifts from relatives as well as bought with her allowance. While she won't necessarily hide them from guests if she has company over (not that there's anywhere to hide them anyway), Alise generally makes up some story or another about why they're there.
And has tea parties with the rabbits when nobody is looking.
(But she's totally too old for plush toys, honest!)
Virtues: But they'll never take our freedooooom -- Alise is a very resiliant (and stubborn) kind of little girl. She gets knocked down, but she gets back up again!
You're never gonna keep her down. Alise bounces back easily from whatever might be troubling her at the moment, be it emotional or physical, and seems to just roll with the punches in general. It gets her into trouble often, but Alise insists that it's a good trait to have. She's stubborn in a
good way.
Proactive -- Alise is very much a go-getter, who acts on her own without waiting to be told to do so. She's a leader-type, who prefers taking charge over following someone else, and isn't afraid to take control when the situation calls for it. Why wait for someone else to take up the reins? Alise may be little, but if something needs to be done, she feels she's the right person to come to for it.
Fearless -- Perhaps thanks to her love of scary stories (and scaring others), Alise is considerably one brave little kid, who doesn't scare easily, if at all, and is the kind of person one might task with going ahead to scout for danger... provided she's not the one attracting it. It might just be bordering on plain foolishness, but she doesn't shy away easily when confronted with a problem. Need someone to provoke that youma? No problem!
Flaws:But you promised! -- Never promise Alise anything unless you plan to stick to your word and follow through. No matter how ridiculous a promise may be, she'll hold you to your word and
never forget- if you promise her the moon, she expects the moon. If you promise to take her to see a scary movie, she, uh, expects that, too. When it comes to Alise, a failure to keep a promise is an act of utter betrayal, and it's easy to become one of her least favorite people very quickly (at which points she may or may not be plotting revenge). This doesn't just apply to being promised things- Alise hates being lied to in general, and will throw a fit if she's been deceived. It's somewhat ironic- Alise isn't exactly an honest person herself, with her propensity for telling tall tales and exaggerating details- but
there's a difference... by her standards.
I'm right and you're wrong! -- Alise is never wrong, even when she is. Even if she
knows she is. She holds steadfast to her beliefs, and refuses to budge, even when she's fighting a losing battle.
No matter how the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it- while that's from an entirely different situation, Alise feels this quote works for her as well. Essentially, Alise is very opinionated and stubborn, and if she says she's met a ghost, well then by golly, she really met one and you can't convince her otherwise!
Don't cry for me, Argentina -- Alise has just the tiniest of bits of a martyr complex. Just the tiniest of bits. Honest! It is never her fault when she gets in trouble- she's being wrongly persecuted! Don't ask where she learned thay word, she just
is! Essentially everyone is being totally unfair and picking on her, and that is just completely uncool, okay. Saint Aliseanne the Pious and Righteous and Pure is being unfairly
prejudiced against, and anyone saying otherwise is a dirty rotten liar.
