I'm going through a tub of books, checking prices and condition, so I can rent a space at a bookstore and do some reselling. Not sure how it's going to go but it's a venture.

Here in the UK the market for books is pretty bad, but don't know how it is elsewhere.

It's pretty bad here too, heh. Rare books still can give you a living but nothing I've got would fit that category. At least... nothing I'm selling.

see now, that is exactly my problem with books. i like them too much to give them up, so how can i make any money?

i take them to the second hand bookstore, and i can get one newish book for two old ones, so i imagine i am going to have more room on my bookshelves, but then before i go home i have purchased many more titles!

oh those clever booksellers, they love to see me coming.

you might ask Norah Roberts for advice.

in her romance books (yes, i indulge! redface ) there is often a character who runs a second hand book store out in the mountains or woods somewhere and always makes enough money to take lots of time off and go to Europe or whatever.

which sounds like nice work if you can find it!
