Family

User Image

Name: Victoria
Personality: Victoria is a very regal mare who can be a bit strong headed at times. This mare has to be a bit strong headed though as she is the queen of her own herd (OCCly doesn't exist but may try to make it official). She's very kind and seems to be fairly wise despite her young age. Victoria has wanted a family for a very long time and now that she has it she is beyond overjoyed. Victoria is very open in her views and would fight for her children if needed. She is loosely based off a movie called Young Victoria which tells the story of former Queen Victoria. The foals will be raised between Moonglade and Victoria's herd which are near each other (so not far).
Family Ties: "Adopted": Jacqueline and thus became a grandmother to Claudine.

User Image

Name: Obsidian
Personality: Obsidian was raised by his father Moam and the Herd he is a leader of. Always watching and mimicking his dad, he learned to be strong yet gentle, proud but also mild. Obsidian's quite the reserved fellow, but anything and everything he says, little as it may be at times, is always full of meaning.
The older he got the more his wandering spirit developed. Not being a full member of the Moonglade herd, he often would take off to go on mini adventures to feed his desire for thrill, sightseeing and solitude.

With foals now, Obsidian finds himself wanting to stick close to the herd. The open road is no place for young ones... Yet.
Family Ties: Father is Moam (pictured below), Mother is Stripe, Grandmother is Niele, Grandfather is Akuba.
Obsidian has many half-related family members through Niele and Akuba.

User Image

Name: Moam
Personality: Moam is very loyal to his beliefs and the people he chooses to let into his life. He's got a strong head, and can be stubborn at times, but his intentions are always good. In an effort to help distance himself from his past, he doesn't allow people or events to bring him down. Moam believes that if you want happiness then you have to go after it, and not wait for it to fall into your lap. Therefore, he is quick to smile, quick to laugh, and sometimes quick to love.

Moam does have a dark side. The armor he wears on his head is not only for protection. He uses it as a way to shield his face from the world. Terrified that his face will frighten other soquili, especially mares, he becomes angry and hostile whenever someone requests to see his face. God forbid anyone try to forcibly take his helm off.
Family Ties: Son is Obsidian (pictured above), Had a fling with Stripe. (Obsidian does have siblings, I'm just lazy and don't want to find them. XD)

User Image Owner: ~Kiana_Nala~
Name: Albert Edward [Male] // Helena [Female]
Relationship: Eldest sibling

User Image Owner: (xX_TRIBUTE_GAMER_Xx)
Name: Unknown // Unknown
Relationship: Middle sibling

So we've finally arrived at the basket you will be trying for! This one was born last in the batch, therefore, it's the youngest and seems to exhibit a close resemblance to their grandmother Stripe and great-grandfather Akuba.

Prompt #1
You've awoken to find that your mother has went back to check on her herd with your siblings and has left you to spend the day with your father and grandfather. How do you feel about being left behind? Do you revel the chance to spend some alone time with your father? Or do you choose to spend the time with your grandfather instead? What do you spend your time doing while your mother and siblings are away?

Prompt #2
As being a foal dictates, you grow bored quickly and often. One night your restlessness becomes unbearable, and without realizing it you've fallen asleep. In your dreams you decide to wander away from the protection of the herd, slipping unnoticed into the dark trees. After a few minutes you begin to hear a strange sound and after a few steps further into the darkness you begin to see a bio-luminescent forest spirit morph from the darkness in front of you. The forest spirit and you begin to play various foal games and right before you wake up you begin to slip into another dream, although, you believe it's a vision (until you wake up and realize it's all a dream). What happens in this vision? Does it change you or do you chose to ignore it? Do you tell any members of your family? If so, how do they react?
This is a dream. Just something a little fun and different for a prompt.

Prompt #3
Feel free to tie in elements of any of the plots above but this is essentially a free game prompt! You may roleplay as a foal or adult!

Name & Meaning:

[Asher // Blessed, Happy; more so for Blessed. Asher will love their family <3.] [Male&Female]

Personality:
[Male & Female.]
Asher will be a little regal, but mainly more to the idea of his/her father; calm but full of meaning. At times (s)he faults and when (s)he wishes to say something (s)he'll find that (s)he has waited to long to say it. So (s)he keeps it to her/himself.. Sometimes getting the blunt end of the stick.

They won't come up and out about this issue until they are older. When they are old enough to find and figure out love or have to decide on something life-changing. There will come a time when they must ask what they should say or do... Before the time is up.

I hope to make this sibling the quiet one. Unless their siblings are quiet as well ;>. Then they can be quiet together!

Plot Ideas:
I really would love to get some sort of love triangle going for this little one. Either where they are the one the two potential-mates are after.. Or where they are a participant of woo-ing another.
At this time I love parent RP where they ask each of the parental unit (Moam included) who they should go for.. Or if there needs to be another push.. They ask if what they are doing is right.. And get help from their parents.
Newbie: N.
Prompt Response: (I chose Prompt 1 but I entangled 3 into it. This will be a response coming as Asher. I am not gender-leniant.. I just like the name a little bit more * D*!.. Anyways this will be when they just breach an adult's age.. Not really foal :>.. Or you can read this and program it as a foal being cute if you want!)

Obsidian wasn't always who Asher would lean against. Moam usually had his tendencies to just say what Moam himself would rather.. But this wasn't something Asher really needed. He needed someone to give him the right statement.
The right thing to make Asher come out of the bubble. No matter what the other was expecting from Asher.

He couldn't go up to his mother, as she had departed to watch over her herd and see if they were doing alright in her absence. So he went to find his father. Head lowered in a doubt, his eyes downcasted. He had almost lost her once; but the other male was so very kind to her. In the end if Asher lost her to him.. He'd be heart broken. But he'd just be happy that she was with someone who made her happy.
However, Asher didn't know if that false happiness was because he was just being himself; late on topics. Or if it was him wanting the right thing for her.

Obsidian was standing over his own herd, but far from them. Only watching those around him. When his son came to his side, it was an odd feeling. Moam had usually who the youngster fled to when he needed help. Not that he was angry with Moam for gaining his son's affections. But because well... Obsidian had grown under Moam himself. He had no reason to lose trust in his father. Asher and Obsidian were just two peas in the pod. Usually their time together was stuck in a quiet serenity.

But this time Asher's mouth opened at the sight of his father. Obsidian was slightly startled but let his expression stay welcoming. "Father." His voice lifted. With a slight colt tone to it; "I have a story and I.. Don't quite know the ending?.. I was.. wondering if you'd know the answer."
It had been the most Asher had really said to Obsidian in the past month or so. Obsidian though just nodded. Calmly, considerate of the story his son had at hand for him to help.

Asher began..
"Well.. There's this young mare. Beautiful, kind.. And she gave this young stallion a chill in his body. Well. Not cold. Maybe a pleasant warmth. One that wishes your body insane." That was only the beginning and Obsidian already loaded his answer on his tongue.
"But." Oh.. Never mind Obsidian. There's a but.
"The mare has always considered them the type to be their friend. She also has gotten eyes for a stallion. Not that the first stallion dislikes him.. It is only that it makes him sick to think of the other with her.." It was then Obsidian would learn and listen to what kind of mess Asher had gotten himself into. He had fallen in love. But hadn't the want to throw himself at the mare. Afraid of being rejected and then finding the other two in love.
Asher was always the introverted type; not the kind of stallion to go out and tell it like it is. Though there are times when he did say the right thing.
That is my fault. Obsidian would allow a small smirk rise at that statement to himself. Asher had been the other-man. The one that the Mare was likely not to chose if Asher didn't word his feelings. It was probably that Asher was less of a looker then the stallion; though stunning as himself.

But it didn't take him long to ask a stumbled question. "What should I do?"
Without a thought Obsidian steadied himself on his hooves. "Tell her you love her."
"But.. What if she hates me for telling her? Or.. We stop being friends."
With a huff, a stream of air came from Obsidian's nostrils. "If she is ever angry at a stallion for saying what his heart has been storing inside itself for so long Asher.. She isn't worth the love of my son."
It was time to let Asher think on his own now. Obsidian moved away from his son and nosed his neck in a small shove. "You're a good stallion Asher.. There are plenty of others around."

Anything Else?: PARPLE <3. biggrin .

[ Amethyst // Pretty purple gem] [Female]
[ Sholto // Nifty Name 8D] [Male]

Personality:

F: Proper
M: Observant

Plot Ideas:

- Learning from grandpa Moam
- striking his/her own place in the herd and eventually out into the world
-finding a calling
- becoming stronger either in mind or body
Newbie: Nope
Prompt Response:
I'll be playing as Sholto.

A chill bit at the little colts coat, stirring Sholto to semi consciousness, he opened his bright green eyes to find with slight alarm that his mother was nowhere to be found. It was early morning, she must have left early with his siblings and left him there. He felt the sting of jealousy but quickly dismissed it, this was opportunity. Normally mommy Victoria would be coddling and crooning or teaching them manners, his father was much less involved, though he was a comforting presence. Before he and his siblings were born his father Obsidian used to go off on small adventures with only his thoughts as company. He felt the closest to his father, he wasn't as chatty as his siblings nor was he as straightforward, but preferred quiet and some space to think. He stood on wobbly legs and toodled himself to where his father was sure to be, taking in the morning sun and still close enough to watch him while mother was away.

He found him exactly where he thought he'd be, Obsidian had his eyes closed, but Sholto was sure he knew he was there. " Hi dad" He piped up, breaking the silence. Obsidian opened his eyes and greeted his son with an amused smile " I thought you'd still be sleeping so I didn't wake you." Sholto flicked an ear " It's cold you know, without mom and the other two its too chilly." He answered simply.
" I see, well yes, I suppose it is."
" Where's grandpa?" He asked, looking around or the imposing figure
" Oh, he's around. Probably getting himself some breakfast" Obsidian shrugged and stretched in the sun.
" Oh "
Sometimes they didn't talk much, but they understood each other, they both sat on the hillside,two spots of purple soaking up the sun.
Just then...his stomach grumbled, QUITE loudly. His cheeks felt hot.
" Would you like some breakfast Sholto?"
He looked up at his father who was smiling knowingly down at him and his ears flattened comically, embarrassed.
"Yes please..."
And with a chuckle they both got up and went out to see what they could find.

Name & Meaning: awesome.

[ Sugilite usually called "Sugar" // it is a type of stone information linked here.] [Female]
[ Boregard usually just called "Beu" // its French meaning handsome sweet heart or admirer ] [Male]

Personality:

[Female]
Temper word: Sweet
The best way to describe it would be very "Girl next door"/"Damsel in distress". Never curses, or flirts (knowingly though sometimes her sweet manner is confused as such). She is also innocent and naive to a very large and noticeable fault. She will believe any outlandish thing you tell her whether she knows you or not most likely. Spooks easily and stays close to the family she wont travel or be adventurous by any stretch.

[Male]
Temper word: Distinguished
Notable in appearance and temperament he strives to be a good son and make his family proud in any way he can. as a foal he will train as a knight to protect his family but he will have a near fatal accident that will leave him crippled as an adult. When angry he can seem harsh to those who don't understand him but he really is a soft and gentle soul.

Plot Ideas:
Now I'm going to state something a little unusual as normally people want their foal to become greatness incarnate and have amazing plots. I on the other hand would like this foal to contribute to other peoples plots perhaps any family plot that you may have. I want him or her to be a supporting role to one or both of the siblings.

The only two major plot ideas i have in mind for them are

Male: as a young adult Beu will have a near fatal accident that will cripple him for life.

Female: As an adult she will be convinced by some dangerous individual to come away with him or her. Her family will have to charge in and save her.

Newbie:
No not for awhile

Prompt Response:
i chose option three playing as the female version sugar. My prompt may not be as long as most but it is about the length of one of my average RP posts and it is a good example of how she will be portrayed.

The sun shone brightly in the spring time sky. The cruel winter snow had all but left the land, grass was beginning to green, and flowers were just starting to show their delicate multi colored blooms to the world. A foal by the name Sugilite or simply Sugar with coloring as the cheerful springtime atmosphere its self lay on the ground. Her gangly legs folded beneath her and her head resting on some tender blades of grass so she was eye level with a flower. She stared intently for quite sometime at last it moved a little in the breeze and for a moment she tensed as if anticipating something wonderful. However when the wind died back down and the flower stopped swaying she relaxed once more looking a tad disappointed. This had been happening for quite sometime and her eldest brother Albert who had been watching at last felt the need to interject
"Sugar . . . what are you doing?" her eldest brother Albert asked looking at his sister quizzically as he had been watching for a few moments and found her behavior most curious.
"I'm waiting." she replied in a whisper still staring at the flower intently.
"For what?" he asked still confused.
She frowned a little and rolled over onto her back with a sigh to look up at him standing beside her "Well you've ruined it now so i might as well tell you. see i was talking to this bird about flowers and all kind of things and the bird said that if i was really quiet and held really still while i waited i could see something that very few ever see." she paused and looked at the flower again to check on it "I could watch flowers get out of the ground and move!"
Excitedly she kicked her legs about int he air. Albert meanwhile just shook his head then smiled in that elderly brothers fashion..
"well by that logic i bet you can spook flowers into moving." he offered he wasn't doing it to be mean it was just a silly thing games played by children "Perhaps if you sneak up on it and give it a scare it will leap out of the ground and run."
At first she looked excited and then thought about it and shook her head. "Spooking people is awfully mean. I wouldn't want to be mean to a flower."she replied. Albert laughed and used his hoof to give her a noogie.
"You cant be mean to a flower and they don't move sugar." he said with a laugh and she tried to smooth her hair back down.

Name & Meaning:

[Chalcedony Zelphia // blending purple-hued mineral and a Victorian era name to honor both parents] [Female]
[Josephus Chaorite // same as above, but different stone][Male]

Personality:
This may change once I see the foal, but for now, I'm thinking they will be proud and headstrong, but also gentle and open. They were raised well by their parents and have taken on some aspects of them, but also developed themselves into someone deeply curious about their surrounding world and also about who they are and where they came from. This foal will have strong roots in both parents' herds, but also have a desire to see what else is out there. However far they may wander, they will always return home to tell their stories and share their adventures. They are not a braggart, however, but they do love attention, but not too much as to not be able to sneak off on the next adventure.

[Female] Bold
[Male] Adventurous

Plot Ideas:
+Spending time with the immediate family, enjoying their company and learning from their parents
+Learning a thing or two from Moam (the old guy has GOT to have some good stories)
+Finding one's self through adventures and a rite of passage or sorts
+Diplomacy excursions with his grandfather
+Meeting the new grandmother
+Learning more about their place in the world
+Adventure Time! (and then returning home to tell the tales)
+Eventually some romance
+I would like some sort of epic meta plot that involves the family since they are so diverse now with three herds (I count Moam's new mate there)

Newbie: N
Prompt Response:
Answering Prompt #3 Mostly With Some Influence From #1

[gonna go with Josephus on this one, because his name is so fun Joooooseeeeffffussss...lol]

"Is he here yet?" the foal asked for the hundredth time, gazing down the path his grandfather normally traveled to reach the Moonglade herd lands. He was giddy, sure. For the first time, he'd been allowed to stay home while his mother dragged his siblings off for a visit with her herd. He had only slightly wanted to go, liking the sense of adventure travel, any sort of travel brought him

Today, though, was a special day. His grandfather would be visiting. So he had done what any self-respecting foal would do. He begged and pester and whined until his mother had finally had enough and promptly left him to his father's care to get some peace and quiet. And soon Grandfather Moam would be arriving.

The foal was utterly fascinated by the older stallion. He had wings! No one else in the immediate family had wings, except for a far removed aunt he rarely was visited by. More intriguing, though, was the mask. Oooohhhh, the mask. Shiny and gold and shaped like the face of a snarling lion, it held endless wonder to Josephus. He had always been told not to ask his grandfather about it, but it didn't stop his curiosity or imagination.

Soon enough, two figures could be seen approaching. Puzzled, the young foal looked up at his father. "Were we expectin' others, Dad?"

"I don't think so," Obsidan said softly, squinting into the distance. As the travelers moved closer, it became apparent that this was indeed Moam and... someone else. Someone that looked like a mare, but no mare that young Josephus had ever seen before.

"This is a warm welcome," Moam rumbled, smiling behind his mask. "Where is Victoria and the other two?"

"They went to her herd for a bit. This one wanted to see you, so we let him stay with me," Obsidan chuckled, looking down at his son.

"Who's is that with you?" Josephus piped up with the impertinence of youth. "She looks strange."

"I am strange," the mare said, leaning her head down to look at the foal. Josephus nickered nervously, and moved back behind his father somewhat, but still trying to look brave.

Moam just laughed. "This is my new mate. Her name is Darkspine and she came from an island across the bay. We decided an alliance would be beneficial and what better way than to seal the deal with children." He looked at his son. "As you well know." The younger stallion nodded at his father's wisdom.

Slowly, cautiously, Josephus came creeping out from behind the safety of his father. "The bay? Does that mean you can swim? With that?" He nodded to her serpentine tail.

Darkspine nodded. "Indeed I can, and often do."

Pulling himself up to his full tiny height, the foal nodded, remembering that he was supposed to be brave. It wouldn't do to be scared of his new grandmother. It'd be downright rude, after all. "If Mom and Dad let me could you show me how you swim?"

"Perhaps sometime later," Moam said, ushering the others a bit with his wings toward the inner territory of Moonglade. "It was been a long trip and I'm famished. We'll tell you the story over dinner."

Josephus' eyes lit up. A story! Of adventure, no less. Even better, of his grandfather's adventure. He followed behind the adults, very eager to learn the story of how Moam discovered the strange mare's herd and fell in love. Romance and adventure! Oh, he knew his siblings would be sorry they missed out, but this was a moment to have all to himself.

Anything Else?:
I do so love this family and would love to be able to be a more direct part of it. <3

Name & Meaning:

[Aveline // Desired; Bird.] [Female]
[Gilbert // An Old French name meaning "Bright Promise".] [Male]

Temper:

[Reserved] [Female]
[Rebellious] [Male]

Personality:

[Female]
xxxxx As a young foal, Aveline will be a very active, and rather hyper little filly. She'll enjoy running around, and exploring as much as she can. Generally, this means wandering away from her family, and trying to find something that could make her life all the more interesting. Be it a little shiny stone that she could give to her mother, or even going on an adventure to have the best story in the world. The little filly gets upset easily; generally breaking into small sniffles and tears, though just a gentle coaxing and some nuzzling, she calms down quickly. She likes to learn from her parents, and as she matures, Aveline will become more reserved; she will act more and more like a proper "princess" of sorts, rather than continue on the path of being a child.

xxxxx Aveline matures into a rather lovely young mare. She has found herself acting as a very reserved sort of mare. She keeps herself calm, and listens to all that come to her needing her. She likes to learn from her mother and father, as well as her grandfather Moam, and his new mate. She finds all their knowledge to be very interesting and enlightening. She enjoys going on adventures, generally with her father. She's a very sweet mare, and due to this, she can sometimes be taken advantage of; though it's a rarity. Not only is she very quick on her hooves, but she can, for the most part, see through any sort of scheme that anyone throws her way.

xxxxx The mare doesn't find anger to be a huge part of her life; on the contrary. She finds that it's... not important. She isn't aggressive in the least, and instead finds that she would rather fix problems than have them grow in a world of anger. She finds pity toward those angry creatures that roam the world; and in that, she wants oh so much to help them in any way she can. But, she also finds that, if anything, she can't find herself handling being around anger for much more than a few minutes. If the person in question just can't seem to be civil and kind, she leaves, unable to handle the stress that she feels it puts on her person.

xxxxx Over all, Aveline is a very gentle, caring mare. She doesn't like stress, and she doesn't like being under pressure. She's a generally gentle mare, who will go out of her way to aid anyone she can. She is reserved, liking to hold her emotions back so that she can help people with a very calm, comforting, neutral demeanor. It's often known that she will flee from a situation, rather than force herself to be put in one that will cause her stress and pain.
[Male]
xxxxx Gilbert finds himself to be a very cute little colt. He's happy and enjoyable. Up until a rather important part of his life. He awoke one morning, and he felt as though his life has changed. The little colt became a rambunctious one. He's a little prankster, and enjoys going away from his family to cause trouble. Generally, this means that he'll do the opposite of what his parents tell him to. If they said to take a bath, he would go and splash water onto the ground, before moving and rolling around in the muddy grass. He likes to hang out with Moam, finding his grandfather to be one of the most interesting stallions in the world. But, generally if his grandfather was lecturing him, he'd trot away, wanting to find something more interesting and less "teacher like". This generally means that he is always getting into trouble, and in that, always being brought back home to face his parents.

xxxxx Now a young stallion, Gilbert is a handful. He goes out of his way to ensure he gets the attention of his parents in the wrong way. This usually means that he acts out, and rebels against them as much as he can. Doing so always seemed to get him the attention he wanted and needed. There was a hidden reason why he acted as such, but he had never told his family; keeping it a secret that seemed to hurt him more than he knew. The stallion found that he still enjoyed learning from his grandfather, but was scared of any form of outsider. He'd try to run them off, often times getting aggressive and angry toward them.

xxxxx Toward his family, the young stallion found himself very... protective, of his family. He doesn't like outsiders, and he doesn't like to feel as though people are imposing on his family. He acceded the new grandmother, considering he was raised knowing her. But Gilbert didn't like the fact that others came close. He often found himself aggressive and dark. But as soon as he starts to get scolded and pulled aside by one of his elders, he returns back to the young, scared colt being lectured. He apologized, and found himself scared and confused and uncertain what his parents would do. But, he loves them more than anything, and often times would go out of his way to ensure they were happy. Even if that meant bringing someone else into his small, loving family.

Plot Ideas:

xxxxx [ Generally I plot as I go, but, these are some ideas I have for the little filly/colt. ]

[Female]
xxxxx Basket role-play of popping proportions. I love doing the basket popping RP. { Basket }
xxxxx Wandering the area is a passion that Aveline loves to do. But what happens when she runs into creatures she's never seen before? This role-play will be with a Soquili that is either a Mutant, or a Soquili that has properties that she hasn't seen before; such as a Kalona or Mer. { Foal }
xxxxx Moam is her favorite grandparent; she wants to learn from him and hear his stories, as well as go on an adventure to see her new grandmother! { Foal }
xxxxx She would have the dream written in the prompt; though have a different outcome. In the role-play, after she wakes, she would talk to her mother and father and gain comfort from them before continuing on a normal life. { Foal }
xxxxx Aveline would find a familiar that resembles the spirit that she saw in her dream; she would have the familiar be one of her best friends. { Foal }
xxxxx She has learned to be a princess; not pampered, but the regal gentle mare that everyone loves and adores. And due to this, she needs to learn stories from other Soquili; learn the world out there. This is multiple role-plays of her adventuring around, and hearing stories. Eventually she would come back to tell her family what she learned. { Young Adult }
xxxxx Any form of family role-play would be amazing. I love doing so, and Aveline would enjoy it to the best of her heart. { All Stages }
xxxxx I would love to have an interaction of her with a Soquili who isn't in the best situation. Not like dark and evil, but angry. Maybe in a bad situation angry. And have her be forced to face this situation and unable to leave it alone. { Adult }
[Male]
xxxxx Basket role-play of popping proportions. I love doing the basket popping RP. { Basket }
xxxxx I want him to have a "before his rebellion hits" role-play. Where he's very sweet and gentle. { Foal }
xxxxx The prompt that I wrote below has a very strong meaning to the colt's development. Gilbert changed after that dream, and now he's become a rebellious creature. I want several role-plays of him being talked to by his parents and such. { Foal }
xxxxx I kind of want Moam to be the only person that he confides his dream with, possibly. Due to this, he will make Moam promise to tell no one else. It will be one reason he is very close to his grandfather. { Foal }
xxxxx I would love for his rebellious nature to really get him into trouble. Not only being lectured by his family, but by another adult in general. { Foal }
xxxxx I plan for him to find a familiar that looks like the spirit creature that he saw in his dreams. He will see this as a good sign, and believe that keeping the familiar with him will help him to protect his family. { Young Adult }
xxxxx I have the idea to have Gilbert run off from his family for a week or two, try and discover who he is. He'll come home, still confused and uncertain of himself. { Young Adult }
xxxxx As he grows, I want him to slowly mature, and, eventually, find himself being strong. He'll finally overcome the fear, which was really just something inside of him, and not something out there that can harm him. { Adult }

Newbie:
xxxxx Nope. I have a very good herd. Here is my Teepee, in case you'd like to look at them/the role-plays.

Prompt Response:
xxxxx I'll be picking prompt two, and playing as a boy.

xxxxx Gilbert grinned, his little tail giving a small flick. He was so excited! He could play his days away with not a worry in the world, when given the chance. A small call from the side caught his ears; his father He was telling him it was time to settle down. He tilted his head, eyes flickering up toward the sky. It was already night time? The foal pouted, stomping his hoof ( much like the child he was ), before he sighed. He did a few small laps in place, before stopping, listening to his mother quietly chide him to go to sleep. He nodded his head, pouting at her for a few seconds, before trotting over toward the small area he enjoyed to sleep within. He curled up, nuzzling his mother’s velvety nose gently, before dropping his head lightly, and quickly fell into a slumber.

xxxxx He was young; older than the sleeping foal, but young. Not yet the age of his father. Gilbert blinked, looking around the area of his family. It took him a few minutes, before he turned, and wandered quietly away, leaving his family’s protection. He found himself in the woods, the dark, tall trees lifted so high above him that he couldn’t see the top of the trees. It was dark, and the trees were so close that he had to weave quietly through the tight places and forced himself through. He was confused as to what was going on, but he found himself drawn forward.

xxxxx Gilbert moved easily through the area. He paused, lifting his head. His eyes flickered, and after a moment, he heard something ahead of him. It was a dark voice, drawing him forward. The voice almost sounded like it was beckoning the stallion. He moved farther and farther into the woods, his body having to push through the trees and brush until he could find his way to a small clearing, with a large tree. The tree had a hollow under it, dark and almost seeping an eerie mist.

xxxxx He peered forward curiously, and within a few seconds, saw a small pronghorn wander out of the tree. It glowed a bright white and stared toward the foal quietly. It wandered forward and toward Gilbert, staring quietly toward him, before it grinned. He reached, lightly poking his nose against Gilbert’s shoulder, before running off. Gilbert blinked, staring, before laughing and surged forward, chasing the pronghorn around. They played for hours, chase, and tag. As well as picked some berries that were growing around the area.

xxxxx They played for several hours, and, as the day seemed to grow a bit older, he grew tired once more. The pronghorn nuzzled him slightly, before trotting toward the hollow of the tree. Wanting to know what he was going to do, Gilbert began to sleepily follow. A noise caused the foal’s ears to snap up, and he lifted his eyes. From within the tree, came a tall, dark shadow figure, with eyes that were white as snow. It had to duck to leave the large hollow, and when it stood it’s full height, he seemed to be almost thirty hands tall, if not bigger.

xxxxx Gilbert stared in confusion and fear, backing up several paces. He trembled, uncertain what was going on. The shadow figure frowned down at the young foal, before speaking, his voice loud and strong. “You are being childish, foal. All fun and no work. Your family will leave you on this path. Distractions in the form of others are a thing to run off. Think of it, do you wish to have your family leave you, to be alone for the rest of your life? Strangers will destroy the connection you hold with the family you love; destroy them, or you will never see your family again.”

xxxxx Terrified, and now feeling anxious that his family would not be anywhere in sight, Gilbert stared up at the creature, before shouting toward him, uncertain if he would be able to hear his small voice. “What do you mean?! My family loves me, they would never leave me!”

xxxxx “Are you certain of that?” The shadow figure asked, eyes locked. It lowered its head, taking a step toward the foal. “Are you certain they give you the right attention? Perhaps you should find other ways to gain it. After all, your time with them is limited.”

xxxxx Before Gilbert had a chance to speak, the figure reared up on it’s hind legs. He started to come down upon Gilbert, aiming to crush him beneath his large feet. Finding himself like a deer in headlights, Gilbert stared for several seconds, before turning and bolted for the woods. He could feel the ground shake as the shadow figure chased him. Looking over his shoulder, he realized the figure was on top of him, ready to crush him within a few seconds. He was going to die here, with no one around to be with him. It was over-

xxxxx “Gilbert, honey, wake up.”

xxxxx The voice of Victoria roused Gilbert from his nightmare. The foal had been wiggling and whimpering in his sleep, uncertain what was going on. He stared up at his mother with big, bright eyes, confused as to why she just stared at him with uncertainty in her own bright orbs. Gilbert shifted, before standing slowly, his ears pinning back. His mother stared for a few seconds, before looking back at Obsidian, who was waking the older two siblings.

xxxxx “Are you all right, precious? You were making some of the most frightened noises I’ve ever heard… Did you have a nightmare?”

xxxxx Gilbert blinked. He stared at his mother, before looking down toward the ground. If he told her what he saw, what he heard, she could end up displeased… Or leave him. The fear settled into his heart, and he felt himself take a half step back. He couldn’t tell them. He just couldn’t. If he did… what if they left? He knew his mother and father loved him deeply, but he wasn’t certain what this news would do to them. The young foal lifted his head. Gilbert blinked at his mom, before letting a small smile move onto his features. He shook his head, causing his mane to shift against his neck and face.

xxxxx “No. I didn’t. I was chasing a pronghorn and we were playing games, mother. It was fun. I’mma go look around!”

xxxxx Obsidian stared down at the boy, before his lips twitched into the smallest hint of a smile, "Stay close, son."

xxxxx She smiled down at him, sharing another look with Obsidian, how had walked over to check up on their youngest. “And be sure to eat breakfast, okay?”

xxxxx Gilbert frowned, staring at her some, before he snorted and turned, trotting toward a place he hadn’t ventured yet. His ears pinned, before he mumbled under his breath that he wasn’t hungry, and he’d eat when he felt like it. But right now, he just wanted to be left to his thoughts. He spent the remainder of the day by himself, musing on the words of the shadow figure.

xxxxx Gilbert had to protect his family, even if it meant a life of loneliness.

Anything Else?:
xxxxx Thank you for the opportunity, I have looked at this couple for some time, and seen how lovely they are; both in character and appearance. I cannot wait to see what adventures and stories come from the little baskets gifted to them.
xxxxx Good luck to everyone! Whomever wins is a very lucky Soquili owner.

xxxxx If the basket ends up being female, I would like for the dream to still happen to her. The difference would be that she would talk to her parents, and be reassured, and therefor continue on in a life without fear.

Name & Meaning:

[Amethyst // A precious stone consisting of a violet or purple variety of quartz] [Female]
[Quartz // A hard white or colorless mineral consisting of silicon dioxide found in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks] [Male]

Personality:

[Female][Temper: Confident]
Amethyst is a rather confident girl. She believes that she can do anything that she puts her mind to. Though she also believes that she knows best, even though she is the youngest. She enjoys trying to lead her siblings. Being the leader of a group is something that she believes she was born to do as well. She is never shy around others, often making the first contact with Soquili that she doesn't know. Having no fear in her heart seems to work in her favor for now, but who knows how long that will last.

[Male][Temper: Strong]
Quartz is confident, but quiet. He doesn't enjoy telling others what to do too much, though if he believes he is, in fact, correct and the other is wrong, he will stand up for what he believes in. He watches his father and grandfather carefully, slowly learning to lead by watching them lead. He sometimes watches his mother lead as well, noticing the differences in their leadership, but also the similarities. Being careful and calculating is one of his strong suits. He believes that he will be a leader of his own one day.

Plot Ideas:
Foal:
- A small adventure on their own. They explore and find some new things (perhaps this could lead to them getting a familiar? Which I would happily get for them.)

- A play date with their siblings. Deciding what wonderful games to play is always fun. Maybe them trying to lead the others?

- A learning experience with their mother or father in how to lead their own herd. There could actually be one for each parent, that was they learn how each parent leads their herds.

Adult:
- Having a bigger adventure on their own. Exploring to find themselves and their place in the world.

- Meeting their siblings when they are a bit older and wiser. Seeing how each of their siblings have grown and developed into who they are.

- Proving that they are good enough to be a leader to themselves by helping some Soquili who are lost or need some guidance.
Newbie: Nope
Prompt Response:
You've awoken to find that your mother has went back to check on her herd with your siblings and has left you to spend the day with your father and grandfather. How do you feel about being left behind? Do you revel the chance to spend some alone time with your father? Or do you choose to spend the time with your grandfather instead? What do you spend your time doing while your mother and siblings are away? - I will be playing this as Quartz
Quartz awoke and yawned a bit loudly. Looking around he realized that his mother and siblings were gone. Standing and looking around, he found his father standing and awake already. His father seemed to have watched his mother and siblings leave the herd before coming back to Quartz.

Quartz didn't mind being left behind. Though he was initially startled by it, having not been away from his siblings since they came out of their baskets. He came up beside his father, rubbing himself against his flank lovingly, much like a cat. Intending to enjoy his time between both, his father and his grandfather, today, he decided that he had to get started. Obsidian looked down and Quartz and smiled a bit. Quartz could feel the excitement in his gut grow. He felt almost giddy with excitement, but he contained it the best he could. Quartz wanted to be like how he saw his father and grandfather. Well contained, quiet but strong willed. He could envision himself being the kind of leader that they are and have been. He decided that he would have to see how his mother lead her herd as well.

Quartz followed his father into the midst of the herd, watching all the others, quartz held his head high. He wanted the herd to see him as a kind of leader as well. He hoped that he would earn the respect of his fathers herd as well as his mother's. As Quartz was thinking about these things and trotting along next to his father's flank, another stallion galloped over to the pair. The stallion had a problem and needed Obsidian's help to resolve it. Obsidian looked down at Quartz.

"I need to go and attend to this. Why not spend some time with your grandfather?"

Quartz nodded at his father as he turned to leave. Looking around he found his grandfather, Moam, not too far away from where him and his father had been standing. Trotting over and smiling widely at his grandfather, he then rubbed himself against Moam's flank as well.

"Where is your father, Obsidian, little one?"

Quartz looked up at him.

"There was a stallion from the herd that needed his help."

Moam smiled at Quartz, leading the little foal a little away from the herd. Quartz always enjoyed getting advice from his grandfather, though he didn't have many problem's for his parents solve, he listened to anything they had to tell him anyway. Sorting it all in his mind to store it away for when he needed it most.

As his grandfather came up to a tree, Quartz plopped himself down under it's immense branches. Looking up, he watched his grandfather push on the tree a bit before looking down at the foal.

"Have you learned anything new of what you want in life little one?"

Quartz looked up at him, thinking on it a bit before nodding his head a little over enthusiastically. He stood back up and rubbed himself against his grandfather's flank again.

"I have decided that I want to be a leader like father, you, and mother."

Moam looked down at the foal.

"Be sure to take everything in stride and listen when someone tells you something."

Quartz nodded and then plopped back down under the tree. He yawned and rested his head down on his legs, falling into a bit of a sleep.
Anything Else?: Just thank you for the opportunity! : D I hope that all you baskets come out just as beautiful as they look xD and I'm loving that all three look different, lol. My boyfriend choose out the male's name, LOL!

Name & Meaning:

[Anshu // "Beam of Sunlight" - Indian (Sanskrit)] [Male]
[Opal // A rather alluring little stone that shines with multiple colors in several different variations. Every time I look at that basket, I think of an Opal.] [Female]

Personality:

[Male]
Anshu is a rather bright little foal. He's always eager to explore and is always asking questions. He wants to know everything about everything. He has a rather vivid imagination and loves to tell stories to entertain family and friends, but most of all, he loves to hear stories of history or adventure. His quizzical nature at a young age will better him in the later years by giving him grand ideas on how to better the things around him. Whether it be to utilize the seasons and the grass growth to construct a workable grazing pattern about the land that ensure enough food for everyone, or how to judge various wind patterns and seasonal fluxes to determine where (and when) the herd might go for shelter or leisure.

[Female]
Opal is a shy, precious little gem. She prefers to stick close to those she knows well and prefers to hide behind her father or siblings when introduced to someone or something new. She's often quiet, and rather naive, believing even the silliest things at first until something proves to her otherwise or if she gets laughed at for believing it in the first place. However, she's a gentle soul and does her best to smile and make others happy before even considering herself.

Plot Ideas:
For Anshu:
- I'd like for little Anshu to go into a sit down with his dad, asking about why the grass grows and why the day turns to night and back to day. Somewhere in that little RP, I'd like Anshu to ask why he has siblings and why Obsidian doesn't.
- I had another idea that - whether Obsidian told Anshu about his siblings or not - Anshu would approach Moam and ask about the herd. How it was founded, how Moam and Obsidian fell into place here in the glade and basically piecing together his own history just from the story alone. Despite whether this was the first time he heard the story or the hundredth time. XD
- In later years, Anshu's thirst to experience a grand adventure would encourage him to venture juuuuuust a bit out of the comfort of herd territory. Maybe he'll meet a new Soquili species? A mare? Or even a human! No matter the diversion, he'd for the most part study it and return to the herd later with his findings in a rather excited tone. Personally, I'd love to see Obsidian's and Moam's reaction to this. XD

For Opal:
- Being that little Opal is so shy and quiet, I'd like to have an RP where she is in a situation that she has to associate herself with someone new. Whether that someone is older, younger, or her age, I think it would be an interesting challenge for her to open up and talk to someone without the obvious encouragements of her father, grandfather or her siblings.
- Given her naivety, I had an idea that she's at one point told a rather believable story by her siblings or a fellow herd member - probably about the woods around them or a certain sound that can only be heard late at night - that gets Opal a little concerned when someone she knows decides to venture off on their own or if that noise is heard earlier than normal. This RP would essentially end with Opal realizing that the story was just that - a story - and nothing to be afraid or concerned over.
- In later years, Opal is bound to get an admirer. Once again, she'd have to battle with her shyness - probably with encouragement from her family - to get to know the Stallion and become less shy.

Quote:
((* I'm going with Prompt 2 as Opal. :3 *))

Opal yawned and stretched. It had been a long day already and it was only barely noon. She sighed and kicked at the ground idly before turning her head and seeing her siblings playing tag nearby. The game itself looked fun, but...

Another yawn left her muzzle and she grunted. This long day has made her tired. Perhaps a nap would suffice? Looking around, she found a small patch of flowers and smiled. She walked over to them and nuzzled her way amidst their petals. Soon, she was nestled into that soft flower bed and surrounded by their wonderful aroma. Her eyes took little to no time at this point to drift shut and send her soaring into dream land.

However, Opal did not realize that she was asleep yet, as her dream began just as her waking world had ended:

Her siblings were still nearby, playing tag and the older members of the herd were not too much further away, either. She blinked though, suddenly feeling not quite as tired as she had before. It didn't matter, she had these beautiful flowers to smell and--

A strange noise stirred her from her musings in the flower bed. Off to the side of the heard - at the treeline - Opal heard what she thought was a small filly's whinny. She tilted her head and stood, shaking herself briefly before she heard it again. However, looking over at the others still playing and doing various other herd things, she quickly assumed that she was hearing things.

That is, until a small flash of... something caught her eye from the treeline itself. She blinked and then saw it again, followed by another filly whinny! She hesitated only briefly before rushing towards her siblings. "Hey! I think there's a foal in the trees!" she started, but the two continued to play as if they couldn't hear her. "Guys?" she seemed to whimper then turned, rushing towards the herd, namely her father.

"Dad! I think there's-!!"

She blinked. Ok... something was strange now. Regardless of the matter, her father at least made an attempt to make eye contact with her when she or her siblings talked to him. But he just kept grazing... Weird...

Another whinny sounded from the trees, only this one sounded as if it were in distress! In a fit of panic, she (faintly) stomped a hoof. "Dad! I think someone's in trouble!" She leaned forward, attempting to n** at his shoulder as she spoke. "I need you to--!"

He vanished... right before her eyes! Her father just... Poofed! But as Opal began to look around for where he might have poofed to, she noticed that everyone had vanished! Her siblings, her father, AND the herd! But not just the herd, either! She was no longer in the glade, but in the trees around it!

Her ears quickly fell back into her mane and she coiled, shivering a bit as realization settled in.

"D-Dad?" she called out in a half-whisper, then followed with her Sibling's names in a more panicked tone. When no answer came, she whinnied out loudly. "Dad! Grandpa!! Where Are You?!"

"And where am I...?!" she added in a whisper mainly to herself. A small whinny answered her - the same whinny she had heard in the treeline before, but to her surprise the whinny came from directly behind her!

She spun around with wide eyes to see a small filly... er... what resembled a small filly? It was shiny, transparent and seemed to hover. The body of the smaller creature seemed to move like smoke or wisps. Regardless, the little... er... creature? seemed rather enjoyed by the fact that she had finally come to play with it!

Looking over the creature, Opal seemed to calm. Something about this strange little filly had made her feel at ease. Less frightened of the new and more eager to, well, play! She smiled to the small apparition and seemed to understand that this was merely a dream. She soon found herself falling into a harmless game of tag with it and eventually found herself having a good bit of fun and was eager to try more games. The apparition had plenty of games and shared them with her in delight! It seemed eager to play more and more!

However, all Soq, no matter their size, need to rest now and again, and Opal - having at this point forgotten that she was still in a dream - yawned greatly. "Perhaps, just a bit of a rest before we play some more, hmm?" she asked the filly who tilted its head at her as she flumped down in a patch of leaves and curled herself into a slumber right there.

The nap-seemed short lived - for Opal anyways - as the filly seemed eager to wake her back up.

"Please, little filly..." she whimpered and lifted her head. "I would like a little nap before-..." she blinked. "... we play again?"

She was back in the glade, though it was still empty, and the filly stood before her, though it looked a little more solid. It was no longer a fully wispy apparition, but mostly a filly that...

Opal shook her head. The filly looked just like her! In fact... it WAS her! And now Opal was confused...

~It's good to be shy sometimes, Opal...~ came Opal's voice inside her own head, but she quickly understood that it was coming from the filly before her. ~But you need to let your inner filly come out to play once in a while too! Remember that for your future, or you may find yourself unhappy with the end results...~

"E-End results?" Opal asked confused. What end?! Her end?! She didn't want to think that far ahead! But the Opal Apparition faded right before her and blinked some more, seeming to stare at nothing for a moment.

"W-What end!!?! Come back!"

"Opal, wake up, you're acting weird."

Opal blinked, finding herself still in the flower bed, but her siblings were towering over her and looking rather confused and worried. "You ok? You were talking in your sleep!"

"Yeah, and you never talk in your sleep..."

"I-I'm fine..." she started as she stood.

"Is everything ok, over here?" came Obsidian's voice from behind her siblings. Opal blinked, still unsure if she was having a dream or not, so she pushed through her siblings and bumped her head softly against her father's leg. He didn't disappear. He was real!

"Opal? What's wrong?" her father asked, now worried after seeing her strange behavior.

"Nothing's wrong, daddy." she smiled up at him and nuzzled his leg softly. "I just had a weird dream, that's all." she turned to her siblings who seemed to be looking at each other with confused expressions. "Thank you for waking me up from it. And-!" she pranced towards them calmly before bumping her muzzle against one of their flanks. "-You're it!" she giggled and took off at a run, leaving her siblings only momentarily baffled before joining in the game.

Anything Else?: I love this family - probably a little too much. Also - in case it wasn't hinted earlier in my submission here, I do own the basket's Aunt - Sallexis - who was in the same basket clutch as Obsidian. She started out living with Moam but things sorta phased out during the hatching RP to where I assumed IRL got the best of both of us. Since then, I've kinda assumed that Sallexis had shown want to stay with her "Uncle" Saluki and his human and was left in their care while Moam and Obsidian went off to join/start a herd. However this is just an assumption and I haven't really gotten a chance to dabble more into it through RP. I'd be willing to work with Tribute and Kiana to work out more of that history as well - whether I get picked or not for this basket, that is. :3
