Briella had been adventuring a lot lately. Mostly she just wanted to find someone to talk to, or even something to do. Maya seemed to be busy preparing for her lotus, Dyakida was always making weapons, and there was no chance she would want anything to do with Niebet frankly. At least she had Amadi to keep her company. "What should we do today Amadi? We went swimming yesterday, picked all the fruit in the forest the day before, isn't there anything to do for today?" she asked the little sprite as he chattered away. He might have an idea for something to do, but he was keeping it to himself.
As she climbed from tree to tree she spotted someone else and froze. Her last encounter with Earthlings wasn't something she wanted to repeat any time soon, but the times before that were nice. But at once she realized that it wasn't an Earthling she spotted but one of her sisters. "Hey there!" she called out as she made her way towards her sister. She didn't really see many of her kind besides the sisters she lived with so this was a pleasant surprise. Amadi followed Briella as fast as he could as she made her way towards where Kadriye was.

Kadriye has been lost in though as she examined the leaves of nearby plants. She was trying to find one from her studies but either it was rarer than she'd thought or she was failing to make out the fine details between it's leaves and that of similar looking but ritually useless plant. of course that was part of why she was out here, to see if she could identify plants she'd been reading about that wold one day be key to doing her job as a mystic. Of course Kadriye hoped the day that she was the most relied upon mystic was a long way off, she was far too fond of her mentor Eshe to wish the older alkidike anything but good health.
Kadriye turned her head and smiled as a greeting as called out and one of her sisters approached. "Good afternoon, can I help you?" She was merely a prentice right now and her skills fairly limited but Kadriye was willing to put in effort if she was needed in any way.

Briella smiled. She was sure that she had seen this particular sister before, though with so many of them it was kind of hard to know who you had seen unless the two of you had become close or they made a impact on you. Though it was then that Briella realized where she had seen this particular sister of hers. This was Kadriye, she was in training to become a mystic. Briella was a little in awe of her, she was one of the few sisters who weren't going to be a warrior. Part of her was in awe, but she pulled it off with the grace that only an Alkidike could.
"Hello dear sister, I am Briella and this is my companion Amadi." Amadi chattered and bowed at his waist, his form of a hello when he is trying to be nice and not up to his normal tricks. Briella hoped that he would behave himself. "And there is nothing you can do to help me, I was just wandering around with nothing to do. Is there anything I can do to help you?" Maybe there was something she could help the mystic with.

Kadriye was fascinated by Amadi she was certain she had seen one of his kind before but where and when she could not remember. Either way he certainly looked like an interesting sort of companion to have. She shook her head at Briella's question " No, I am looking for things but I have to find them myself." If she couldn't learn to identify things on her own she couldn't progress with her studies. "I could take a breath to talk though"
Kadriye was more than willing to spend some time with one of her sisters. If she was to help lead the tribe some day she should be as familiar with the feelings and needs of her kin as possible. Besides, sometimes it was nice just to talk and make friends, to connect with others.

Briella nodded. Yes it made sense that the mystic would have to find her own items. It was also very noble of her. "Yes of course, and I most likely wouldn't be of much help anyways." She was a little sad, but then when Kadriye said she could take a break for a walk Briella smiled. It looked like she would have some company for the day. "Well then shall we walk." Briella said with a smile as Amadi landed on her shoulder and she started walking.
"What brings you to this area? I know you are searching for things, but is this place more bountiful? I was just wondering because I don't believe I've seen you around her before." she asked curiously with a smile. She couldn't wait to tell Dyakida about meeting Kadriye, she was sure her older sister would be intrested in meeting the mystic. Although she was pretty sure it was impossible maybe the mystic could one day restore Dyakida's sight. Then again from what she knew Kadriye was just starting down the path of mystic so maybe it would be a while before she had power like that. In all honesty Briella had no clue of the things mystics were capable of.

" The area here is one of the few places this particular plant grows " Kadriye replied with a small smile. Different plants needed different environments and while it was all jungle there were certain formations of trees or tendencies of animals to congregate in areas that lead to some types of flora blooming only in specific areas. " I think Eshe is giving me things to learn about further and further from my home tree so that I get to know Jauhar slowly but deeply." The young mystic was prone to feeling overwhelmed and she could become frozen and frustrated in those moments. Introducing her to new concepts and areas of the jungle in small chunks worked best for her.
"I am hoping to meet some of the shifter tribe eventually." Kadriye knew a lot about the other tribe whom shared this land that belonged to her people. Still , what she knew was recollections from others and from lessons, she had never met a pure blooded shifter before. " Do you know any of them?" she asked, keeping her stride even with her fellow Alkidike.

Briella nodded. She never paid much attention to what plants grew where, other then the amount she needed to, but as mystic Kadriye would kind of have to know all kinds of things that Briella wouldn't have to know. When she said that Eshe was possibly giving her things to learn further and further so that she could better know Jauhar she nodded. "Eshe is wise. If she was to send you to the middle right away then you might miss things on the edge that you wouldn't have if you looked there first." she stated.
When Kadriye spoke about meeting some of the shifter tribe she cracked a smile, thinking of the shifter that she had met. "From what I gather the Shifters are interesting... I've only met one full shifter, a very nervous male, but two females who were both half shifters." She thought back to the tea time she shared with the shifters. It was interesting to say the least. "Personally I'm interested in getting to know more of them, although I'm sure it isn't so, I am slightly curious to find if all the males are as nervous and defenseless as the male I met."

Kadriye looked thoughtful for a moment then shook her head . " I do not think most males would be that way. When you look at the creatures all around us it is normally the males who are bigger and stronger." It only seemed fair she supposed that males earned their keep and attracted the more valuable females by being adequate warriors. Even if among her main people whom were all female most were warriors. Mystics like her and Eshe were rare and even then they could fight if they had to.
" How does Amadi differ from females of his kind, I have barely seen any like him at all nevermind been able to differentiate the sexes." Truth be told she was a little jealous that she did not have such a fascinating companion.

Briella had noticed that as well. It made sense that since male animals tended to be bigger, their human counterparts should be the bigger ones as well. It was just her luck to meet a defective male. She shrugged, hopefully the next male would better represent his gender. It was funny to her that most species were male dominated, well at least it seemed as if the males were the protectors, but she had only sisters, and she was pretty sure any of her sisters could defeat any male. Even mystics like Eshe, and most likely Kadriye, could defeat a male in combat.
Briella looked over at little Amadi as he chattered off to Kadriye, possibly explaining to her her all the differences. "To be honest I am not sure, though one of my sisters who lives in the same tree as me has a female one with lighter markings. I suggested a few female names for him and he rejected them, Amadi was the first name he liked." she shrugged. "Oh and he doesn't talk as much as the female one I know." she said with a laugh.

"Perhaps I will be lucky enough to have a chatty or quiet and contemplative companion of my own someday." Kadriye murmured. Although she supposed she had little time to add another's immediate care to her already large list of responsibilities.
"Do you have any special skills Amadi?" She asked the sprite like creature. She might not understand his speech but he seemed to understand her just fine.

Briella barely caught what her sister said. "I'm sure you will. Spend enough time here in the forest and your bound to have one of these little buggers bothering you. Both Dyakida and had many pranks pulled on us before they became our companions." she said thinking about all the trouble he put her through. Dya had never told her the specifics of how she acquired her companion, but she knew that the sprite pulled a few pranks on her sister.
Amadi looked back at Briella, chattering away as always and pointing towards Kadriye. Briella laughed. "You can show her." Briella encouraged. She had seen Amadi do a few things before that were strange, though she wasn't sure if they were the extent of his abilities or not. It seemed he showed her new things whenever he felt like it.
First he began to fly around Kadriye and stopped in front of her face and pointing to his wings. "Amadi she can see that you can fly. Show her what you do with the flowers." Briella said. Amadi seemed to look back and scold her. If he could talk he would be telling her he was getting to that. Flying down to a small flower on the floor of the forest he began to touch the petals of the flower and it seemed to grow brighter and bigger. "He can't do it all the time, but sometimes he can." she said.

"That's fascinating." Kadriye murmured with a touch of awe to her voice. Amadi was a rare and fascinating little being and she hoped she had a chance to spend more time with him. In general Kadriye wished for more time to spend with others but her lessons were long and difficult because her destined path was important to her people's prosperity. Still, perhaps she could find a little more time in the day to be social from now on.

Briella smiled, happy that she had such a desirable and wonderful companion to call her own. "The longer you stay around here, your bound to run into one. Though you don't really claim them. They claim you. And trust me, it can be painful." she said with a laugh. Amadi had broke many of her things, and pulled her hair many times before they had become friends. Even so he still messed with her from time to time. "Maybe the two of us could come visit you? Your normally at home?" she asked, when she said home she meant their island. "I'm sure Amadi would like to see it. Plus I'm sure some of our sisters would enjoy him. Especially the younger ones." she said with a smile. She was sure that Kadriye was busy, she was very important, but everyone needed social time. It was important.

" You're most welcome to visit, I like talking with people a little closer to my age." Kadriye meant do disrespect with that statement, it was just that given her status she spent so much time training and around the older mystics. They were wise, patient and kind but much less spontaneous and well fun at times than the younger generation. " I am home most of the time and Eshe has never sent me on a hunt for something that took more than a half day to find so you would not need to wait long if I wasn't there. While she wasn't exactly a youngling Kadriye was still rather young and weak in her defensive and offensive skills which meant she was at more risk out in the open. Someday though she would master the magics of the world and fear nothing.

Briella smiled. It was settled then. She didn't go back to the home tree much, she never had reason to go besides their ritual once a year. But now she did have a reason, Kadriye needed to be around people her age, it was an important part of growing up. She understood that and she was sure Eshe would understand that as well. "Maybe we could go places together? I could be like your guardian. Surely Eshe would give you more freedom to roam if you weren't alone?" She didn't mean that the girl wasn't strong enough, but the two of them were different parts of their species. There were many like Briella while very few that could walk the path that Kadriye would and was. Kadriye needed to be protected.
