Alistaire stood outside the Headmistess' door, just recently returned from the campus. He had changed in his own room, fitting himself into a sharp brown shirt that led onto equally sharp slacks. Over this he wore a black surcoat that accented and finished the outfit.

He slipped a key from his sleeves and slid it into the door. He had commissioned the item from a young and naive student a few years back. The claim was that it would open any door you put it in. Alistaire had thought it a bold claim, but sure enough it worked. Very silently he entered and shut the door behind him, locking it again. "Anyone is welcome at anytime." The saying went, and Alistaire was taking it at it's complete literal meaning. He placed the bottle of wine he had brought from his own room onto the table, filling two glasses. Then he lit a few candles, giving the room a dull and eerie light.

Then he waited. She would return eventually, and the sooner the better.

"And I was thinking you weren't going to show up." Alistaie said quietly, rising from his seat and returning her gaze. A soft smile graced his lips as he stepped quietly and gently, not wanting to provoke Sin Sin. He moved to the door and closed it, barring the outside world to what would happen here. "You put on a good show, my little thespian." He cooed as he ran a finger across her pristine face. "I was almost hurt when you had your man servant remove me from your office."

Alistaire smiled and brought his fingers to her neck, pulling her face closer to his. "I wanted to see my sweet Cat." It was his nickname for her, a play on words and a nod to the sigil of his House. "With that damnable assistant of yours I'm lucky if I can get five minutes. On stage or off, I couldn't bear not seeing you." When he spoke of their relationship he always compared it to theatre. They had their parts to play, the strict headmistress and the devilish professor. But when the curtain fell, they were free.

He leaned down and kissed her, running his hand through her hair. "Tell me, Cat. How long do we have before we're called back?" Dreadfully he knew they wouldn't have much time to each other. The beginning of school was always like this. Everyone wanted to speak with the Headmistress. It was a straining time for them both.

Alistaire gave a tsk at the idea of only 30 minutes. He cut their embrace and let his vision rest on the table. His hand plucked the bottle of pills and brought them to eye level. "He is a dutiful child. Does he think you'll have trouble sleeping?" He gave a cruel little chuckle at the idea of the assistant covering for them. It was almost too much. He sent the bottle the ground, dropping it as he took hold of Nekoda's hand and started toward her bedroom. "Well, let's not let his effort go to waste. I think we've both been overdue for a 'nap'."

"I tend to have that effect on you." Alistaire said boastfully as he made his way to the bed. "But should you 'oversleep', well I don't think he'd mind." He shut the door and did not spare a moment in continuing their embrace, leading her gently into his loving grasp.

Alistaire had just finished touching up his own appearance, though his work was far simpler. When he was complete he sauntered over to Nekoda and slipped his arms around her, watching her apply her makeup. "You are an unparalleled beauty, do you know that?" He cooed as he pecked her on the head with his lips. "A grace divine. Flawless." His face frowned slightly as he realized their time was coming to an end. "I do wonder, though, what people think when they see such a beauty alone. It is suspicious, and the last thing we need is suspicion." A ponderous look crossed his face as he spoke, thinking about his next words. "As much as I hate to say it, you need someone to strut across the stage with you. A suitor." The idea made him grimace, but his better judgement knew the truth of the matter. "Not that demon b*****d in the History department though, he's much too bold. No, you should embrace someone meek. Perhaps that coward assistant?"

"I am suggesting that the razor thin tightrope we walk upon grows thinner each day." Alistaire said as he ran his hands to her shoulders and tried to comfort his Cat. He had no love for the idea, but he had heard whispers. Too many people asking too many questions."To be true, I despise the idea of anyone but me laying a finger upon you. I am yours, and you are mine. And that will always remain so. Even if every mage in this land came to drive us apart, I would not leave your side." He kissed her upon the neck, his lips gentle as a winter's snow. "It's just something for you to keep in mind. Don't dwell on it too much. Besides, we have kept our secret safe these many years, I don't foresee that changing."
